The instant those words left his lips, Rosalie felt her blood rush through her cheeks.
She planted a hand on his chest to push him away, but she belatedly realized that she had not put in any effort to push him away, letting her palms touch him and feeling the hardness of his body hidden beneath the luxurious suit he wore.
As instantaneously as her hand touched him, Rosalie peeled her palm from his clothed chest.
Kallix's expression didn't change as he stepped back from her. But she felt it. She felt the way he trembled under her touch.
"Well, why don't you lead the way?" Rosalie said, inhaling the chilly wind coming from the central air of the clothing store. When he didn't respond and only stared at her, she arched her brows. "You said you wanted to take me to see the stars. Or were you lying just now?"
"No, I'll take you there," he whispered, his voice's baritone thicker than before.
