Just when they thought they could have a moment of peace, a crackler turned the corner. Fomo Burger was so tired he didn't even react. Rockstar Taco tried to crawl away but couldn't because of how much pain she was in. However, Rockstar Taco's attempt at crawling away caused her jewelry to drag along the floor making a noise. This grabbed the attention of the crackler. "I'm dead" Fomo Burger thought to himself. He closed his eyes and accepted his fate. As he looked into the infinite darkness of his eyelids, he suddenly saw someone approach him. It was the spirit of Quirky Burger. "You have come so far Fomo Burger, don't give up now, I forgive you" Quirky Burger said as she started to fade away. Tears began to appear in Fomo Burger's eyes as they shot open. Fomo Burger used all the remaining strength he had to face the crackler. His whole body started to shake. Rockstar Taco could only watch in horror as she thought her new friend would be killed in front of her. Suddenly, a knife stabbed through the crackler's face from behind it. Fomo Burger looked on in confusion as the crackler fell to the floor. When he looked back up, he saw a familiar face.
"Cool Burger?" Fomo Burger asked "Am I dead? Is this heaven?". "No you idiot, i'm here to save you, let's go" Cool Burger exclaimed. Fomo Burger was shocked to see that his best friend was in fact alive and survived corrupted Quirky Burger's attack. "We can't move" Fomo Burger added. "Ugh so you are still as useless as you were before" said Cool Burger. "Can you please just help us Cool Burger?" asked Fomo Burger. "Yeah alright" Cool Burger responded. He then picked up Fomo Burger and Rockstar Taco and carried them outside and placed them into a car. "Since when could you drive?" Fomo Burger questioned. "This whole world is an apocalypse now because of us, I stole it" Cool Burger replied. Fomo Burger looked out the car window to see how destroyed the area was. There was fire everywhere and black smoke covered the sky. Cool Burger then started to drive away from the Oven Factory.
"So who's your new chick?" Cool Burger asked Fomo Burger. "Oh no no she's not- we're not a thing you know we only met earlier today. I don't like her like that" Fomo Burger exclaimed in panic. "Not yet" Rockstar Taco responded looking at Fomo Burger with a smirk. Cool Burger continued to drive. "So where are we going?" Fomo Burger asked. "I have a base set up, i've been living there for the past few days, it's safe there" replied Cool Burger. "I can't believe you're alive man, I thought I lost you" Fomo Burger said. "I would say i'm glad to see you alive too but you did kill my girlfriend" Cool Burger responded. "WHAT?!" Rockstar Taco said coming into the conversation "YOU KILLED HIS GIRL?". "I mean yes technically, but I didn't want to, it was an accident" Fomo Burger said defending himself. "I can't forgive and forget, but I can put it aside for now" Cool Burger added. The car was silent for the rest of the trip.
Once they got to Cool Burger's base they set up the extra sleeping bags he had so they could rest for the night. Cool Burger's base was a very small shed that was located in a ditch. "This is my first time properly sleeping in days" Fomo Burger thought to himself as he laid down on the sleeping bag. "Get some rest and we'll talk more tomorrow" Cool Burger said before switching off his mini lamp. Fomo Burger closed his eyes and almost instantly fell asleep. After a couple hours of sleeping he woke up to the feeling of something on his chest. It was Rockstar Taco's arm. She had fallen asleep next to Fomo Burger with her arm wrapped around him. Fomo Burger felt awkward so turned over facing away from Rockstar Taco. He then fell back asleep.
The morning then came. Birds could be heard chirping in the distance. Fomo Burger woke up. He thought to himself about how he finally got a moment of peace. Fomo Burger then sat up and to his surprise saw Cool Burger sitting down on a chair, wide awake. "You're awake" Cool Burger uttered looking back at Fomo Burger. The two looked at each other for a moment. "I'm sorry" Fomo Burger said. Fomo Burger did not know why he said that, the words just exited his mouth subconsciously. "It's okay, these things happen" Cool Burger responded taking a shot of some sort of alcohol. "Did you sleep at all?" Fomo Burger asked. Cool Burger shook his head indicating that he had not. "She was so perfect" Cool Burger said randomly. "Quirky Burger?" Fomo Burger asked. Cool Burger didn't respond. "Look I know we aren't too good right now but we are best friends Cool Burger, you shouldn't bottle up your emotions it's not good for your health" Fomo Burger explained. "You think I care about health?" Cool Burger said barging in "My girlfriend is dead thanks to you, and that stupid amulet". Fomo Burger could not think of anything to say. A guilty expression just shot across his face. "Not only that but you had a crush on her while I was dating her, I mean seriously man?" Cool Burger added taking another shot of alcohol. "So you knew?" Fomo Burger asked. "Of course I knew you were so obvious" Cool Burger responded letting out a little chuckle. Fomo Burger chuckled back. He then looked over at Rockstar Taco who was still asleep. Her bruises had got worse overnight. Fomo Burger went to inspect further only to find out something much worse. She was infected.
