Chapter 2 - Wait What? Wrong Route?

"That's what should happen, right? You take me as a fool? But am I a fool? Am I courting death? Why should I do that when I could just lie flat? I have a system to rely on, but it doesn't mean I'm the strongest. And if I thought about it, I might even attract unwanted attention. So, am I courting death? I'll just build a simple wooden house beyond this cliff and cultivate to be an immortal god. One should live to be one.

I. The Echo of Doubt

Wang Weixiang, still recovering from the shock of reincarnation and the system's activation, sits at the edge of the cliff overlooking the barren landscape of Mount Hua.

He stares at the system's interface, its glowing blue text mocking his disbelief. He runs his hand through his hair, frustration and doubt clouding his thoughts.

He wrestles with the enormity of his situation. He questions his sanity, the system's legitimacy, and the wisdom of embracing this path. He's also grappling with the fear of attracting unwanted attention and the dangers of being too powerful.  His ancestor's words echo in his mind, reminding him that survival is the ultimate goal.

He engages in a heated internal dialogue, questioning his own sanity and the system's motives. He contemplates the risks and rewards of cultivation, the potential dangers of attracting unwanted attention, and the importance of survival.

He takes a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest.  He had no idea what was coming, but he knew one thing:  the adventure had just begun.

II. The Mirror of Doubt

Wang Weixiang, still reeling from the shock of his reincarnation and the system's activation, sits at the edge of the cliff overlooking the barren landscape of Mount Hua.

He stares at the system's interface, its glowing blue text mocking his disbelief. He runs his hand through his hair, frustration and doubt clouding his thoughts.

He's also grappling with the fear of attracting unwanted attention and the dangers of being too powerful.  His ancestor's words echo in his mind, reminding him that survival is the ultimate goal.

"That's what should happen, right? You take me as a fool? But am I a fool? Am I courting death? Why should I do that when I could just lie flat? I'll just build a simple wooden house beyond this cliff and cultivate to be an immortal god. One should live to be one. I remember in our ancestral domain, one of my ancestors said, 'Being the strongest doesn't mean you will survive, but the one who survived is the strongest.'"

Wang Weixiang, while initially shaken by his situation, quickly recognizes the absurdity of allowing fear to dictate his actions. He's a man who has always been driven by ambition and a desire for power. The system, while initially a shock, is simply another tool to be mastered.

III. The Whispers of the Past

Wang Weixiang wanders through the barren landscape, seeking solace and a sense of understanding.

He stumbles upon ancient ruins, remnants of a forgotten civilization.  He explores the ruins, discovering remnants of their culture and technology.

He's drawn to the past, seeking answers and understanding. He tries to connect with the echoes of this civilization, hoping to learn from their experiences and find a path forward.

He speaks to himself, reflecting on the lessons learned from the ruins. He contemplates the rise and fall of civilizations, the dangers of power, and the importance of balance.

He discovers a hidden chamber within the ruins, containing ancient scrolls and artifacts. He begins to decipher the scrolls, learning about the history of Mount Hua and the secrets of cultivation.

IV. The Choice of the Path

Wang Weixiang returns to the cliff, his mind filled with the knowledge gleaned from the ruins. He stands at the precipice, contemplating his next steps.

He weighs the options before him - embrace the system and its potential for power, or seek a quieter path of cultivation, prioritizing survival over glory.

He's torn between his desire for power and his fear of the unknown. He's also wrestling with the lessons learned from the ruins, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and the importance of balance.

He engages in a final internal dialogue, weighing the pros and cons of each path. He reflects on his values, his goals, and his ultimate purpose.

He makes a decision, choosing the path that aligns with his values and his desire for a peaceful life. He decides to build a simple dwelling beyond the cliff, a place where he can cultivate in peace and safety.

V. The Construction of Sanctuary

Wang Weixiang begins gathering materials, using his system-enhanced strength to gather wood and stone. He starts carving a simple but sturdy dwelling, a place where he can begin his journey to immortality.

He works tirelessly, driven by his determination to create a safe haven for himself.

He's still grappling with his doubts, but he's also starting to find a sense of purpose and peace in his work.

He speaks to himself, reflecting on his progress and the challenges he faces. He's also starting to develop a sense of connection with the natural world around him.

He discovers a hidden spring nearby, providing a source of fresh water for his dwelling. He also encounters a friendly animal, a small fox that seems to be drawn to his presence.

VI. The Dawn of a New Chapter

Wang Weixiang completes his dwelling, a simple but cozy wooden house nestled beyond the cliff. He stands on the threshold, gazing out at the vast landscape.

He takes a deep breath, feeling a sense of accomplishment and a renewed sense of hope. He's ready to begin his journey to immortality, but he's also determined to maintain his balance and prioritize his survival.

He knows that challenges lie ahead, but he's also confident in his ability to overcome them. He's found a sense of peace and purpose in his new life, and he's ready to embrace the future.

He speaks to himself, reflecting on his journey so far and the path that lies ahead. He's filled with a sense of determination and a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

As the last rays of sunlight painted the sky in hues of orange and purple, Wang Weixiang leaned against his newly built wooden house, a sense of accomplishment washing over him. He had a roof over his head, a source of fresh water, and a system that seemed to be showering him with gifts. But the most important thing was the newfound peace he felt.

He glanced at the system panel, its glowing blue text still a source of wonder and a little bit of fear. The Supreme Divine Body, the 99999% stat boosts, and the cultivation breakthrough with a single breath – it was all too much to process. He was a weeb who had been transported to a mystical mountain, given a system, and now possessed a body that defied the laws of nature. It was a wild ride.

"So, this is what it means to be the protagonist, huh?" he muttered, a wry smile playing on his lips. He couldn't help but feel a little bit of amusement at the absurdity of it all.

He took a deep breath, the crisp mountain air filling his lungs. He closed his eyes, savoring the quiet solitude of his new home. He had a long journey ahead of him, a journey towards immortality, a journey towards becoming an Immortal God.

He knew there would be challenges, dangers, and perhaps even enemies. But he was no longer the timid weeb who had been struck by a truck. He was Wang Weixiang, the chosen one, the one who had been gifted a Supreme Divine Body and a system that seemed to be tailor-made for him.

He opened his eyes, a glint of determination in them. He had a lot to learn, a lot to explore, and a lot to achieve. He was ready to embrace the unknown, to face the challenges that lay ahead, and to become the Immortal God that he was destined to be.

"Let the adventure begin," he whispered, a sense of excitement coursing through him. He had a feeling that this was just the beginning of a truly extraordinary journey.
