Chapter 3 - Junior Lee

two doctors followed shortly after.

The first doctor asked Mr. Lee how he was feeling.

Mr Lee, assisted by Junior, made an effort to sit up properly. After a deep sigh, he began to cough.

Junior Lee bores a captivating figure with fair, pale skin, red moist lips, tall and slim, emanating a cold and unapproachable presence. His posture is upright, not particularly muscular, but hints at his involvement in weightlifting.

His intense black eyes seem to penetrate your soul, creating the impression that he can see deep within you. Despite his intimidating aura, there is a touch of sadness in his gaze, suggesting a burden only a few can comprehend. His jet-black hair is meticulously styled, contrasting sharply with his light complexion, and he walks with quiet confidence, each step calculated and purposeful.

Junior's attire is always impeccable, often opting for dark-tailored suits that enhance his enigmatic nature. He frequently wears a long, graceful coat that ripples slightly as he moves, enhancing his mysterious allure. Although he exudes an air of aloofness, there is an undeniable charm that intrigues others, sparking curiosity about the secrets concealed behind his icy exterior. Junior recommended that Mr. Lee take it easy and kindly offered him water through a straw.

Mr. Lee drank the water, cleared his throat, and expressed gratitude, mentioning how age was catching up with him in a light-hearted manner.

The doctors shared that Mr. Lee had Pulmonary edema due to the accident, explained potential treatments, and informed him that he would be hospitalized until he was out of danger.

Before leaving, Junior asked about the doctor who had assisted during the accident, expressing a desire to thank her.

The doctors promised to find out and left the room, leaving Mr. Lee and Junior alone to chat until Mr. Lee fell asleep.

Junior sat quietly by Mr. Lee's bedside, watching his father's chest rise and fall with each breath. The rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor provided a strange sense of comfort. Junior's mind wandered back to the accident, replaying the events that led them to this hospital room. He felt a mixture of relief and anxiety—grateful that his father was still alive, yet worried.

As Mr. Lee slept, Junior took out his phone and began typing a message to the family, updating them on his father's condition. He knew they would be worried and wanted to reassure them. He included the details about the diagnoses and the doctors' optimism.

After sending the message, Junior leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes for a moment, reflecting on the past few days. The accident had been a stark reminder of how fragile life could be and how important it was to cherish every moment with loved ones. He made a mental note to spend more time with his father once he recovered.

The room was dimly lit, the soft hum of the air conditioning providing a gentle background noise. Junior's thoughts were interrupted by a light tap on the door. A nurse peeked in, checking to see if everything was alright. Junior nodded, mouthing a silent "thank you" as she quietly closed the door and returned to her duties.

Junior looked at his father, feeling a surge of affection. He reached out and gently held Mr. Lee's hand, feeling the warmth and strength that had always been a source of comfort.

meanwhile doctors gathered in the conference room for a meeting, led by Dr Mold who inquired about any information concerning an African woman in her mid-20s, dressed in a white suit and possibly blood-stained. He urged anyone with details to approach him after the meeting. As the meeting concluded, Dr Mold left the room, but the three men who had interviewed Rain were absent.
