Alden's Apprenticeship Guidance
- Learn as much as you can from Alden's deep knowledge regarding various things.
Denim was taken aback by surprise upon triggering such a hidden quest out of the blue by simply letting Alden see his Corrupted Sword. Grateful for the offer, Denim agreed. Over the next few days, Alden trained Denim intensively. He taught Denim how to use the sword's transform skill, breaking all the limits of his imagination. The training was rigorous, pushing Denim to his physical and mental limits. Alden emphasized the importance of envisioning the weapon's qualities and capabilities.
"Think beyond the sword," Alden instructed. "This weapon can transform into any form you can imagine. Focus on changing its form and visualizing its attributes. You must believe in its versatility."
Denim practiced tirelessly, transforming the sword into various weapons—a spear, a bow, a shield, a gun, a lance. Each transformation required intense concentration and a deep understanding of the weapon's potential. Through this training, Denim realized that the Corrupted Sword was truly a weapon for all classes. By focusing his will, he could shape it into any form, adapting it to any situation. This can be regarded as a jack-of-all-trades weapon. However, the Corrupted Sword's limits would be constrained by the user's imagination and concentration. If the user imagined a low-potential, low-grade weapon, it would replicate it accordingly. Thus, knowledge of strong weapons and different kinds of swords with powerful skills and strength was a must before wielding the sword. Luckily, Denim was a reincarnated man. He knew every type of famous sword weapon in his time. By thinking and imagining beyond what was available, like conjuring a Thor-like hammer with the qualities of Thor's real Mjolnir, it would indeed be possible. Only that using the said weapon will quite take a considerable amount of time mastering it unless you are Thor itself or had watch all of Thor's battle scenes that will make you knowledgeable enough to wield such a strong weapon.
One evening, as Denim sat outside the hut, he reflected on his progress. The sword felt like an extension of his own body, responding to his every thought. He transformed it into a sleek dagger, then into a massive warhammer, testing its balance and weight. The possibilities were endless.
His thoughts were interrupted by a sense of unease. He looked up to see a group of figures approaching the hut. They moved with a sinister grace, their eyes glowing with an eerie light. Denim recognized them as Malissandra's minions.
Alden stepped out beside him, his staff glowing with magical energy. "It seems your presence has not gone unnoticed," he said. "Prepare yourself, Denim. This battle will test everything you've learned."
Denim gripped the Corrupted Sword, feeling its power surge through him. He transformed it into a bow, nocking an arrow and taking aim. "I'm ready," he said, his voice steady.
The battle that ensued was fierce and relentless. Denim fought with newfound skill and confidence, transforming the Corrupted Sword into whatever weapon he needed in the moment. He practiced every class-typed weapon that would adapt to any situation and greatly help him in combat. Alden supported him with powerful spells, keeping the enemy at bay.
As the last of Malissandra's minions fell, Denim breathed a sigh of relief. He had survived, but he knew this was only the beginning. Malissandra would not give up easily, and the Southern Continent was still in peril.
Alden placed a hand on Denim's shoulder. "You have done well, but your journey is far from over. You must continue to hone your skills and prepare for the battles ahead."
Denim nodded, determination burning in his eyes. "I will. And I won't stop until the Void Creatures are defeated and this land is restored."
With numerous possibilities ahead of him, Denim set off once more after giving farewell to Alden, who had greatly helped him become stronger. Denim was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The Southern Continent, although a desolate wasteland, would be cleared of the void creatures and the rest of the world, one battle at a time.
