"Are you okay, bro?" Liam asked as Levi was laying on the bed, skipping dinner.
"Yes, I'm good."
"Why didn't you go to dinner?" Liam asked.
"Didn't feel like it." Levi retorted.
"That's totally not you. Anyway, I'm going for the hot spring, wanna come? Everyone is going there?"
"No, thanks for the offer."
"Alright."..... "Oh, Steven is here. Are you up for hot spring?" Liam asked as Steven walked into the room from dinner, holding a tray of food.
"No, thanks."
"Two jobless shits. Bye then." Liam shut the door.
"Levi. Your dinner, you shouldn't skip dinner at least. Are you good?" Steven spoke, placing the tray beside Levi's bed, on a table.
"Thanks, yes I'm good." Levi replied, taking the tray.
"Why are you lying when you're in pain? Here, I got some medicine, they work quickly." Steven retorted.
"Thanks again. Are you going to sleep...."
A phone call interrupted, it was Steven's, his phone was on the table so both of them could see who was calling. They looked at each other after seeing the caller id. It was Maya. Steven cut the call and went to the balcony, throwing the phone on his bed. Levi just noticed but didn't say anything instantly. Steven was standing on the balcony for 30 minutes, Levi waited for some moments and went to him. He coughed as he walked there, "Are you planning on sleeping here?"
Both chuckled. But again, it turned so quiet as pin drop silence there. Little did they know that Tiffany was staying one floor down, standing in the balcony, listening to them.
"What's wrong with you today?" Levi asked.
"Nothing." Steven replied.
"Then why did you cut....."
"I don't really want to talk now, Levi. Do you mind leaving me alone?" Steven interrupted.
"Sorry, Steven I cannot."
Steven furrowed his eyebrows.
"You like Larson, don't you?"
Steven just scoffed a little laughter, and didn't respond. "You do, I know. I like her too." Levi retorted quietly.
Steven glared at him coldly, asked, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Because if you keep hurting her....."
"Hurting her? Tch, what the hell is your problem, dude?" Steven furrowed at his friend at this point.
"Don't make me want to have her then, Steven, I don't like to see her hurt, it makes me want to protect her."...Levi turned around and spoke again without looking at his friend, "I think she likes you too, so don't hurt her."
Levi went to bed, obviously he couldn't sleep, he pretended to sleep as he was waiting for Steven to go back to Maya. Steven stood there alone for some moments, feeling all guilty, he felt so selfish because of what Levi told him. He didn't realize that he was actually hurting Maya because of his jealousy. After a few minutes, Steven walked out of the room in hurry, taking the phone. Levi just smiled through pain.
That's the end of my one sided love story then. Levi thought.
Steven tried calling Maya but she wasn't picking up the phone, he got scared if anything happened to her. He didn't want to knock their room because that would only make things uncomfortable for her. He called Nira, standing in front their room, "Evans, I'm sorry for calling you so late."
"No it's okay. I'm not sleeping yet, I'm in the hot spring, what is it Stone?"
"Actually I got a call from Larson, I couldn't receive it that time but now that I'm trying to call her, she's not receiving. I am afraid if there was something emergency."
"Ah that, don't worry about it. She's sleeping already. Actually I couldn't find my phone so I tried calling my number, and by accident I clicked on yours."
Steven became dumfounded as he heard Nira. He facepalmed instantly. As the conversation was done, he exhaled loudly. He turned around to go to his room and suddenly he heard door crack sound, as he looked back he saw Maya standing in front of him, looking tired, her cheeks were super red.
"Maya, you okay?" Steven's expression stiffed.
"I want to go to the washroom." Maya retorted, slowly.
"Washroom? Don't you have that inside your room? What are you doing here?"..... "Wait, are you drunk?" Steven asked, leaning towards her, and tried sniffing.
"Noooooo, I'm not."
"Yes, I guess you're not. But why are you talking like this? Are you okay?" Steven asked as he didn't smell any alcohol from her. A thought hit Steven's mind, he panicked instantly, he shook her, "Did you take any medicine?"
"Ahhh, oh yes, acidity tablet." She retorted, slowly, dozing off almost. Steven caught her from falling.
"But acidity tablet doesn't have this reaction. What did you actually take, Maya?"
She didn't respond to him, she was so sleepy and she fell in his arms completely.
"Is anyone in your room, Maya?"
"N....no." She replied slowly.
"Alright." He held her in arms and walked into her rooms, being cautious if anyone would see them. He put her on bed and started looking for any medicine beside her bed. He found a small container on the table, without any label on it. He checked the under, it was written S/P. He already knew it was actually sleeping pills.
He sat beside Maya and shook her once again,
"Maya, how many did you take?" He asked.
"I don't remember," Maya groaned in sleepy voice.
"What the hell! Why did you take so many? Who takes that much acidity tablets? Besides it's not even Acidity Tablets." Steven panicked as he opened the container and saw only of them pills were left.
"Acidi....."
"Where did you get this thing? It doesn't even have any label. Don't sleep already, tell me." Steven asked.
"Downsta..." She answered.
"OH LORD!!!"
He wanted to go to the hotel infirmary downstairs immediately but he couldn't leave Maya behind. He didn't want to call Nira because he thought she would get the wrong idea about him going into their room even after she told him that Maya fell asleep. He called Liam, finding no other way, "Liam, are you still in Hot Spring?"
"No, I'm getting back to our room, why?"
"Come to Larson's room immediately."
"Something happened?... "Wait, what is the room number?"
"523. Fast."
"Alright. Wait there."
As Liam reached the room, he found Steven panicking. Steven told him to call Nira and tell her that he found her roaming around the corridor in unstable way. Steven went to the infirmary leaving Maya in Liam's responsibility.
Steven called out the manager of the hotel too, as he went there, "What the heck is this! It doesn't even have any label, and you're giving the sleeping pills to people saying its acidity tablet! And this is a five star hotel, wow!" Steven yelled at them.
"But sir, see here, we never have any medicine without label."
"You think I'm lying. Ask your employees, who gave it to that lady. I won't go further if you're honest with me but I will file a report if you don't give any answer." Steven retorted, giving them a cold stare.
"S....sir....." An employee raised his hand, from the corner.
"Do you want to say something?" The manager asked.
"Actually, it was my little brother." The guy retorted.
"What do you mean by that?" The manager furrowed his eyebrows.
"At afternoon, I went to the washroom, so I let him sit here for some moments. He ripped of the label of that sleeping pill container and he put it with those acidity tablets' container. After I came back, the lady came, also I was talking to someone else on phone, she asked for the acidity tablets, unconsciously I handed it to her. She stayed there for some moments and I was busy, I didn't realize she was actually bit confused about the container. After she left, I found the ripped label on the floor. I asked my brother and he said yes. But it actually didn't concern me much but if I only knew she would take 5 .... I'm sorry. I'm sorry." The employee bowed to them.
"Why were you letting your brother sit here? Wasn't there any other employees? I'm seeing four of you now!" Steven yelled once again.
"I'm sorry, they were not here that time. We were short in people today in serving team, so three of them helped there." The guy pleaded once again.
"But letting your little brother here is bit .... I don't know. But this is actually a terrible management. I'm disappointed," Steven retorted, "How many pills does this container have actually?" He asked.
"15 sir."
"And she had taken 7 of them," Steven's eyes were raging in anger
"Sir, we're extremely sorry for what happened. Please let this slide this time. It won't happen again." The manager requested.
"I'm not coming here ever again. Please write an apology letter, otherwise I'm not going to let this slide."
So the thing is, after having brunch, Maya felt sick so she went to have the acidity tablets, she took one, but it was not really working, she felt tired after the basketball match, she thought of having another one. It didn't work too, she was feeling more tired and drowsy before dinner, so she took more without even realizing. The med was too powerful so eventually she felt so sleepy and tired.
Because it happens to her once in awhile that she takes more than one acidity pill for acidity for quick remedy. She thought maybe the change of food made her stomach sick. Nira called Steven, thinking he didn't know, so Steven had another chance of seeing Maya.
