Chapter 1 - Another world

Three people were in the room when I opened my eyes. Two women and a man. All three were smiling as they looked at me, they seemed happy. They were exchanging words with each other, which I could not understand. Strange, I must say, since I knew all the languages of the world.

From the environment I was in and the clothes they were wearing, I deduced that I was not in a modern world, but rather in a medieval and technology-free world.

...

Six months went by and I was beginning to understand the language a little more. It's a very interesting one I must say, one that I had never heard before. What world has this crazy god sent me to this time?

The three people who were at my birth are, so to speak, my parents. That's right, all three of them. That woman who gave birth to me is named Catelyn. Her hair is blue in color and used to be somewhat disheveled. I wonder how she got that shade of color in her hair. My father's name was Poe Tyrell, and his hair is brown. He is stocky and well-built, and at the same time charismatic. Lastly, the second woman at my birth was named Alice, and it seems that she is my father's second wife. Her hair is blonde and her eyes are light blue. The stereotype of perfection for many. No wonder Poe liked her.

It also seems that both are sisters. Something very strange I must say. But hey, if they are able to live with that, who am I to judge. I don't know much about their past. I only know that the three of them ran away from where they lived to start a family together far away from there.

I must also say that... they are very noisy at night. My God, they are active. Don't they know that a baby should sleep well. So I can't clear my head and plan my life.

...

It has been a year since I was born, and I can move more easily. This allows me to observe my surroundings clearly and understand them.

Whenever I was not paid attention, I would run away to observe the house. This is a medium sized house, close to large. It has two floors. On the first floor is the dining room and living room. While on the second floor are the bedrooms. At the same time, the house also has a large garden. However, they don't usually take me there much.

As I had sensed, I find myself in a world of precarious technology. Thanks to the fact that I have already lived in worlds like this one, it would not be a big problem for me. I don't know what that annoying god would want to warn me about.

Anyway, something that has been giving me intrigue, is that some elements, like water and fire, come out of nothing itself. For example, when they go to cook something, I have no idea how they do it but a continuous flame of fire appears out of nowhere.

If I want to increase my chances of surviving and adapting to this world, I must find out what it is all about.

So that's what I did. I was in charge of Alice, my second mother, while Poe and Catelyn were out in the garden. Who knows what they were doing.

Alice went to the bathroom for a moment, so I took the opportunity. I moved a wooden box as close as possible to the table where they were cooking, so I could reach it. I climbed on it and climbed up the table as best I could.

It was exhausting. Doing all that at only one year old is complicated.

Standing on top of the table, I looked around for the cause of the spontaneous ignition. I couldn't see anything noticeable. Where the pot or pan is placed, I saw a small hole. I approached it to analyze it better. I could see that there were some symbols drawn on it. I didn't understand them, but there they were.

A small stick was sticking out of the side of the hole, as if it were a lever. So, out of curiosity, I pulled on it, and out of the hole peeked a glowing stone. Then the symbols lit up, and out of nothingness itself came a flame of fire.

Whoa. I startled and the weight of my body caused me to fall backwards.

-Waaah, Al. Are you okay?

Oops, Alice seems to be back. He had a worried look on his face, and his tone of voice was somewhat alarmed.

-Alister, Alister. Are you all right? How did you get here?

That's right, I in this world have been given the name Alister Tyrell. I must say I don't dislike it.

-Waaah, your finger. You got burned.

I looked at my hands. It was true. I had burned my index finger a little. Nothing too worrying, though. Looking at her, though, it was clear that she didn't think so. Her face showed anxiety and concern.

-Mmmmh, my sister will kill me if she sees you like this... Ah, I know, I'll cast a healing spell on you!

Huh? What are you talking about? Have you lost your mind?

-Light of life, heal and comfort, bring healing and pain... -While I was thinking that, she had already put a hand on my head and started to say a few words.

Yes, she had gone crazy. Or maybe it was one of those rituals that are usually done to children to make them feel better, like "sana sana".

-Now remove scars and wounds, Bring the body to the light of health... Healing!

Despite everything I was thinking, when he finished speaking, a green light began to emanate from his hand and, little by little, my burn was disappearing.

-Ready, you should be better now- Now her face had a smile on it, and the worry that was on it before, disappeared.

I didn't know what to think. My eyes were wide open and my mind was confused by what had just happened. I have seen many things throughout my life, but never anything like this.

-What do you say we go outside and watch your parents train? I'm sure that will cheer you up and take your mind off the whole thing.

Huh?. No, no thanks. I don't want to see them do their "stuff". Right now I'm thinking about what just happened. However, since I couldn't communicate yet, he grabbed me in his arms and carried me towards the garden.

When we walked through the door, I didn't encounter any situation I was imagining. The two of them, Poe and Catelyn, were fighting each other with wooden swords. They both exchanged blow after blow. How they exchanged blows, it was in a way I had never seen before. They had a speed I could barely catch a glimpse of.

Thanks to the worlds I have been to in my past lives, I am quite skilled with the sword, and I can identify well when someone is good at using it. However, the two of them were moving with a speed and precision that I had never seen before. How was that possible? What kind of technique were they using?

As I thought what my eyes delighted, his blades went to the opponent's neck and slowed down before making contact with the skin. It was a draw. I could not believe what I had just seen.

When they rejoined, they became aware of our presence and approached us. They were both very sweaty. It was only logical, considering how they were moving.

-Hi, Al. What did you think of our fight. Mom and Dad are strong, aren't they?

My mother turned to me with a confident tone. I guess she is proud of her skills and proud to have shown them to me.

After what happened this day, I understood exactly why White wanted to give me a warning. This world was something completely unknown to me, one that surpassed the laws of my imagination. If I want to survive and adapt to this world, I'm going to have to try harder than I already have.

This world was one of magic and swords, a fantastic one. Who knows what the world will hold for me in this new life?
