[Quirks, formerly known as a Meta Ability, is a superhuman ability that a person can possess. It all started in China, in Qingqing City. There was news that an infant that gave off light was born. Since then, superpowers were discovered in various places… and time passed without the cause being identified. Before we knew it, the supernatural became normal, and dreams became a reality. The world has become a superhuman society, and 80% of the world's population now has some kind of special trait. In this world swirling with chaos… the profession that everyone once dreamed about and admired came into the spotlight, but for me—]

A young 12 year-old boy, who was average in height, opened his locker to put on his casual shoes as he took off his school shoes. He had tanned skin, medium-length black hair, and jet black eyes and—

[SMACK]

"Ow, what the hell!"

He had just been smacked on the back of the head by someone who hardened their hands with rocks. The meek boy dropped his books and belongings and glared at the bully. The said bully smacked him was a male classmate who had platinum blond hair that was in a yankee pompadour. He had a hand encased in rocks which dissolved as he gave his bully victim a smug grin.

[I am the unlucky 20% who ends up being picked on by people with Quirks for no reason. I am Peter Sakaeda, my other first name is Hajin, but I don't like being called by my Korean name. I preferred to be called Peter, but my Korean Mother is so insistent on calling me Hajin.]

Peter took a deep breath as he gathered his things, but was helped by another young man who was more built and taller. The said young man looked similar to Peter in terms of skin tone, but had a wavy dark brown hair American pompadour with brown highlights that resembled a bowl cut and black eyes that were a bit more lighter.

[The guy helping me with my things is my cousin, Kento Sakaeda, but prefers to be called Kevin. His Dad and my Dad are identical twins which would not only be the reason why we look like brothers, but is also the reason why we share the same surname. Unlike my Mother who is from Korea, his Mother is from Okinawa. But some of you might be wondering why we have English names. Well, it's due to the fact that our Fathers were born in the United States as Japanese-Americans and when we were born, we received English names. But moving on, Kevin was there to protect me from people who would bully me. Unlike me, he has a Quirk where metallic claws come out of the three hypothenar spaces in each hand. With his parents still living in the States, he has been living with my parents and I for the past few months so he could go to prepare for UA's Hero Course after graduating Middle School.]

"You, okay?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Just the usual of Uchiyamada being an asshole…" Peter said. He soon grabbed his bags and threw them over his shoulder and started walking out with Kevin walking beside him, "Let's just get out of here, man."

They left the school and had started walking along the streets of the futuristic Osaka. Through the walk, they passed by the Dotonbori district and saw some street performances. They stopped by Korea Town and got some corn dogs and rice cakes that were layered with hot dog sausages. They had walked all the way to a large tower that said, "Alchemax" in katakana. As they entered the building, the two boys showed their ID tags and entered the elevator and went all the way up to the 60th floor which was the Genetics lab.

Entering the Genetics Lab was a young man who looked to be in his early twenties, but in reality was 33. The said man wore gray medical scrubs with a medical stethoscope looped around his neck. Peter's father who goes by the title of Dr. Evan Sakaeda MD who was not only a high ranking attending physician, but the head of the Genetics department as he was inspecting a researcher's work on bio-engineering amongst organisms. This said organism was a spider that the said researcher developed through other traits of other spiders to make a Super Spider. The said spider was inside a glass box as it was crawling around.

"So what are the traits of this Super Spider," Dr. Sakaeda asked.

"Well, Doctor, this spider has a lot of traits," the researcher said, "but it's main traits are having high web tensile strength, spider strength where it can lift 200 times its own weight, enhanced jumping abilities, enhanced speed and agility, a spider-sense, and precognition."

"Wow…" Evan said. He was impressed that the researcher he was talking to was able to bio-engineer such a spider, "that's amazing."

Soon the door opened and Evan looked behind his shoulder and smiled. His son and nephew entered the building as they were saying hello to the researchers.

"Boys, what are you doing here?"

"I'd figure we'd stop by and say hi," Peter said, "what's going on here, Chichiue?"

"This young man has created an awesome Super Spider," Evan said. He moved aside for Kevin and Peter to inspect the spider. The researcher gave a tablet for the boys to learn of the spider's traits and they were impressed by the abilities the spider has.

"What's the goal here for what I'm assuming is cross-breed Genetics?" Peter asked.

"Well we're not sure yet," the researcher said, "but if we can get this right, we can create medical treatments from this."

Peter nodded in understanding while Kevin paid no mind to this. As Peter looked at the spider intently, he (with complete lapse in judgment) opened the glass door and it soon jumped out and onto Peter's hand.

"Ahh!" Peter started screaming in terror.

Evan, the researcher, and Kevin saw the spider out of its containment and the Doctor soon pressed a button that caused an alarm to go off. Red light to start illuminating the room.

"Containment Breach!" a female automated voice said repeatedly.

The said spider was on Peter's hand and soon bit him which made the latter shortly curse in pain. Luckily, Peter was fast enough to kill the spider by slapping it. Evan saw it and pressed the said button from earlier and the alarm turned off and the lights returned to normal. The researcher saw the dead spider, but knew that the safety of an individual was more important than an experiment.

"I'm sorry, about your spider, Doctor, I shouldn't have opened the container," Peter apologized to the researcher.

"Not your fault," the researcher said, "I think we should put a halt on this experiment, Doctor Sakeada."

"I agree," Evan said, nodding to his assistant. He soon shifted his attention to Peter and inspected the bit on his son's hand, "Are you okay, Peter?"

"I'm okay," Peter said, "the spider bit me, that's all. I shouldn't have opened the glass container."

Peter saw Kevin giving him a hand to help him up and accepted it with no hesitation.

"Any symptoms," Evan said, using his Emergency Medical skills to address his son, "chills, fever, nausea, rash, body aches, anything?"

"Dad, I'm okay," Peter said while giving out a light chuckle, "aside from the swelling that I'm most likely going to experience, I'll be fine."

"Okay," Evan said, "how about you boys go back home, Mom can take the rest of the day off to take you. Call me if anything happens."

The boys nodded and started walking off, but—

"Kevin," Evan called for his nephew. The said boy stopped as Peter kept walking.

"Please, watch over him," Evan said. Kevin nodded as he did a light jog to catch up with his slightly older cousin.

"Your nephew seems like a good kid," the researcher said.

"He is," Evan said, "Peter may be older, but ever since he's been diagnosed as Quirkless, Evan has always been there to protect him. I would've hoped he would've gotten a Quirk unlike me, but perhaps the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree."

He soon looked at the two boys, but when he looked at Peter, he couldn't help but have a solemn look on his face.

———

Peter and Kevin arrived back to their large estate they lived in by Peter's Mother. Peter's Mother was a Korean woman who had pale skin and black hair with brown eyes. Hwa-Young Sakaeda looked to be very youthful even though she is 33 years old. As they entered the large mansion, Kevin saw Peter starting to go pale and experience some symptoms.

"You okay?" Kevin asked.

"I'll be fine," Peter said, "I just need to rest."

He soon walked off while Kevin started having a concerned look on his face, Peter's Mother shared the same look on her face.

"I don't like seeing him like this, Aunty," Kevin said.

"You and I both," Hwa-Young said, "but be ready to call the ER if anything happens."

Kevin nodded as the two started taking care of some things within the house. As Kevin was helping with cleaning the living room, he noticed a scent.

[SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF]

His eyes started going wide as he could smell the excessive perspiration that Peter was expelling.

"Aunty…" Kevin said, "get the phone ready."

Hwa-Young started getting concerned as she took out her phone. Kevin on the other hand grabbed a thermometer and went inside Peter's room to see him sweating excessively and his body going red. Kevin walked towards Peter and took his temperature and soon saw how high it was. He read the thermometer to show 107 in fahrenheit and 41.7 in celsius.

"Aunty," Kevin said, "we need to call 119 (Japan's emergency number) now!"

———

Peter was seeing bright lights as he also saw images of two ER doctors and his father being one of the ER doctors.

"Peter, can you hear me?" Evan's voice could be heard, but Peter didn't know who it was amongst the physicians and nurses that were in scrubs and facemasks, "It's your Dad, Dr. Ogawa and I will take care of you, okay?"

Amongst all the things that were happening, this was the only thing he could hear and he nodded as he soon began to lose consciousness again.

Peter soon woke up and saw he was in a hospital room within Alchemax due to the high-end equipment inside. He was hooked onto an IV which was next to a massive pile of them and a few monitors to check his vitals and started to feel different. He saw no one in the room, but he stood up and saw how much taller he looked, so he got out of bed and walked to the nearby mirror. He looked at himself in the mirror and saw his legs a bit longer and the hospital gown he had on to be a bit tight. He also noticed how his jaw had changed from being a bit round to more of v-shaped. He looked at his hand where the spider bit him and saw it was no longer there.

Soon a nurse entered the room and saw Peter was awake and up.

"Hello, do you need anything?" the nurse asked.

"Maybe a new gown, this is a little tight on me," Peter said.

The nurse nodded as she left the room and Peter saw his legs and how toned it was. The nurse entered and gave Peter a new gown for him to change into and when she left, he took it off and saw the rest of his body and saw the muscles on his body. He looked to be around 163 centimeters which would make him taller than Kevin by around five centimeters. He was stunned at the sudden growth spurt he had and the sudden weight gain he had obtained. He started to flex his muscles and was fairly impressed with how his muscles looked. He had the perfect v-build for his body with perfect pectorals, abs, etc.

[HEAD RING]

He felt a tingle in his head and out of instinct he put on the new gown and went to his bed quickly. After he entered his bed, his parents and Kevin entered the hospital room. Hwa-Young came in with loads of food ranging from Korean-jjigae, ramyeon, and some large platters of Korean street food that Peter loved.

"Hey guys," Peter said, "thank you for the food."

He soon started eating and had started to plow down on the food, which made his family members surprised. Perhaps he developed an appetite as he was starting to get better.

"We heard from the nurse you were getting better," Evan said, "and we can tell, color is returning to your face."

"Actually I feel more than better. I feel amazing," Peter said, "although before you guys came… I felt this tingle in my head."

Kevin and Evan soon exchanged looks as the father looked at Peter, "What did you do when you felt this tingle?"

"I uh, put on my new gown," Peter said, he soon realized why his father asked such a question.

"What's going on here?" Hwa-Young asked, she didn't ask in a frantic manner, but she was concerned for her son's state of being.

"After you get discharged," Evan said, "come to the lab, I would like to do a minor physical check-up on you and bring Evan with you."

"O-Okay…" Peter said. Evan could see the anxiety on Peter's face and reassured him, "Don't worry kid, you're not in trouble."

He soon walked out with Hwa-Young giving him a kiss on the cheek as she left to catch up with her husband. Evan looked at Peter with a look of concern, "You sure you okay?"

"Uh yeah," Peter said, "I feel perfectly fine."

Soon the nurse entered and told Peter that he was officially discharged and this led to the said teen changing into some clothes, but only for them to feel tight and be tight.

"I think we may need to get you some new clothes," Kevin said.

After a quick clothes shopping, Peter and Kevin arrived at Evan's personal office in Alchemax. Peter knocked on the wooden door and caused it to split in half. Evan saw this and started to write something on his tablet.

"Uh, come in I guess," Evan said with an amused chuckle. The two boys came in and the wooden door was quickly replaced with a metal shutter door.

"What happened to your old clothes?" Evan asked.

"They were tight," Peter said.

"Okay…" Evan nodded as he looked at Peter's overall body and started writing on his tablet with a smart pen while saying, "change in physiology."

"What's going on, Dad?" Peter asked.

"Ever since you mentioned the tingle, I realized something," Evan said, "You may have possibly obtained powers of the spider that bit you."

Evan grabbed a encased vial and showed the dead spider, "This arachnid was the catalyst for your abilities and I would like to know what you can do. Perhaps you can join your cousin in UA's Hero Course once we can understand your abilities and help you improve on them."

After what Peter heard from his father, he agreed and started with the basic things like height and weight check. He was now standing officially at 163.75 centimeters and when he weighed himself on the scale it registered at 70.6 kilograms, he later saw his reach was 185 centimeters. After the basic check up, the blood drawing was next and it showed some interesting results. His blood showed that he still wasn't eating enough despite giving him multiple IV bags. So, Evan had Peter eat some a lot of food from the cafeteria and shortly after the real test began.

Peter and Kevin were in workout clothes. Peter wore a white loose polyester t-shirt with black shorts and compression shorts underneath that were longer by five centimeters. Kevin wore a black t-shirt with black training pants. They entered a room that contained multiple grid lines with metallic tiles.

"Why do you want us in the Demo room?" Peter asked as he looked at a glass window where his Father was sitting.

The said man moved to the microphone that was hovering over a console, "This is to test your so called powers. Now I would like to preface this that even though you now have powers, we must still follow the law that if you don't have a Quirk license, you can't use your powers."

"Understood," Peter said as he gave a thumbs up.

Evan soon typed up something and some tiles of the floor opened up to show 2 long barbells with both weighing at 23 kilograms.

"I want you boys to start doing one curl," Evan said.

The boys did as told and for Kevin it was fairly easy, but for Peter the 23 kilogram barbell felt as light as a feather.

"Dad… this barbell is nothing," Peter said, he was thoroughly surprised as he knew prior to getting bitten, lifting 23 kilograms would be a bit of work, but now it's effortless.

"You mean the barbell feels like nothing?" Evan asked. His eyebrows were raised at this revelation, more so when he saw his son nodding in confirmation.

"Okay, let's do this," Evan started typing and soon Peter put down the barbell for two mechanical arms to come out to replace the plates. After they were done and had returned underneath the floor, Peter looked at the plates and they read 15 megagrams which would be 15000 kilograms.

"What the hell?" Peter said, "why are you having me lift 15000 kilograms?"

"Well, spiders can lift 200 times their own weight," Evan said, "so if we were to apply that said trait for you, then you should be able to do a powerlift though this would be a little over 200 times your weight. Oh before that, let me do this real quick."

Evan started typing something on the console and a mat formed underneath Peter and Kevin that covered the ground of the whole room.

"It's so that the floor doesn't break when you drop the barbell," Evan said.

Peter nodded and took a deep breath as he grabbed the barbell and lifted it with his legs. He later did a barbell snatch and first started with the deadlift which was okay to begin with, but the hard part was having it over his shoulders as he was pressing it over his shoulders, he started to feel how heavy it was and started to push himself, but Kevin grew concerned when he saw a vein looked looked like it was about to pop forming on Peter's head.

"C'mon you stupid barbell, I can do this!" Peter said as he was pushing as hard as he could. He continued to struggle and as he went to the top he started screaming, making Evan lean back at the speakers going loud in the room he was in. Soon Peter dropped the barbell and started panting, "Holy crap, that was hard!"

Kevin was massively impressed at his cousin's strength feat and was awestruck. He patted Peter on the back as the two boys looked at the booth where Evan was sitting.

"Okay, can you try coming up the wall of this room?" Evan said.

Peter went to the wall and took a deep breath as he started to have both hands against the wall. He soon put his feet on the wall, but felt them slip off. So he took off his socks and shoes and tried again and this time it worked successfully. He started slowly climbing up the wall and then went up and climbed the ceiling. He thought that he would feel nauseous or something when he was upside-down, but he didn't feel anything.

'If I can crawl up the wall like a spider then, maybe I can spin a web like one,' Peter thought. He soon realized how AND where spiders created webbing and started to go red as he soon thought that if this would be the case, it would be embarrassing. Out of morbid curiosity he soon clenched his butt and after a few seconds he sighed in relief as no webbing came out of the area he thought would come out. And decided to check out anywhere that could be convenient, he later checked on one of his wrists and out of a morbid curiosity, started to press with his middle and ring finger into his palm and a shot of webbing came out of it. It soon stuck to the wall ahead and Evan and Kevin saw it.

He soon spun a web that he was sticking onto and held onto the line he let go of the wall and saw he was hanging on the line. He soon found a way to lower himself by continuing to shoot a webline from the same hand and started going down. He had soon managed to drop from thirty feet and landed on the floor without causing any sound and no pain.

"Impressive…" Evan said, "Peter, how would you feel to go to UA's Hero Course instead of going to Asahikawa Medical Academy?"

[FREEZE FRAME TO BLACK AND WHITE WITH FILM GRAIN]

[For those who don't know, had I not gotten my powers, I was going to be either a General Surgeon or an engineer.]

Kevin looked at Peter and simply smirked, "C'mon man, besides it would be less lonely if you'd join."

Peter thought about it for a minute and nodded to the idea.

—(Play Tek It (Sped Up) by Cafune]—

[Where did you learn what it means to reciprocate?]

In their backyard, Peter and Kevin's fists closed tightly as three metallic claws popped out of each hand. The two start training intensely in combat with Kevin trying to slash Peter who was dodging.

[And how much can I be expected to tolerate? Uh]

Peter soon managed to counter with a right hook, but it made his hand sore for a quick moment due to his hand impacting Kevin's metallic skeleton.

"Ow! You motherfu—"

[So I started to think 'bout the plans I made. The debt unpaid]

Peter soon starts training by teaching himself Muay Thai and kickboxing while hitting a large dense metal that was the size of a punching bag.

[And you just can't call a spade a spade]

It was late at night as he was dressed in exercise clothing.

[I watch the moon. Let it run my mood]

As we see a continuous shot of him running a lake until the length of a US marathon, it transitions to a 2 year time skip as it shows Peter getting taller and bigger at 13 and at 14 years old.

[Can't stop thinking of you. I watch you (now I let it go). (And I watch as things play out like). So long nice to know you I'll be moving on]

Peter's last year of Junior High School has begun as he is still getting bullied by Uchiyamada. As of this bully incident he was about to strike back, but Kevin grabbed his shoulder and shook his head. Peter groaned as he turned around and started walking away.

[We started off in such a nice place. We were talking the same language. I open and I'm closing]

Peter does weight training and has improved his physical strength. When the next day occurred, he started doing agility exercises. Then the third day, he does hand-to-hand combat with Kevin and manages to strike the latter and outgrapple him.

[You can't stand the thought. Of a real beating heart. You'd be holding, having trouble. Owning and admit that I am hoping]

As Peter was taking a break, sitting on a bench he was scrolling down his phone and saw two important news articles. One was of an Ash Blond against a sludge villain and another which he was more interested in was a Middle School K-Pop Idol girl-group he would listen to named Enigma has disbanded for unknown reasons. He shows this specific article to Kevin who shook his head and stood up. He patted Peter on the back as if to say, "Let's get back to work." Peter took a deep breath as he started to get up and resumed training.

[I watch the moon. Let it run my mood. Can't stop thinking of you. I watch you (now I let it go). (And I watch as things play out like)]

This time a continuous shot of Peter and Kevin were running together around the lake and they kept running endlessly.

[So long nice to know you I'll be moving on. Moving on]

They stopped as the sun started to rise and they sat on a bench together where the deer park was. The Sakaeda cousins sat together and watched the sunrise with deer sitting near them.

[Instrumental]

Late one night, Peter was crawling up the wall of Alchemax and the windows as well. He was now wearing special shoes that helped with his powers by not having his feet slip off the wall. Occasionally, he would look down only for him to start getting scared, but he pushed forward and kept climbing up.

[You, yeah I always know the truth. But I can't just say it to you. Yeah, I know the truth]

He started mantling up onto the rooftop of the said tower and looked off from the edge and gulped at how high he scaled the tower. He stepped back and took a deep breath to calm his nerves as he looked out to the city lights of Osaka.

[I knew. Yeah, I always know the truth. But I can't just say it to you. Yeah, I know the truth]

He took more steps back and took multiple deep breaths as he soon did a few hops and slapped his face a few times. His face showed he was now focused and he started running and jumped off the roof.

[I never thought we'd see it through. I never could rely on you. And few times your face came into view]

Peter started doing a bullet dive and everything started going slow for him as he kept diving, he saw some buildings now were at the height he was at.

[Into view. I'm not into you. Into you]

He soon spun a web and let his Spider-Sense as he calls it guide him as he enjoyed swinging through the night. Soon a final frame slows down to a freeze as it shows Peter in a familiar pose as he spun a web.

[Song Ends]

Months have passed and now the school year is over. The Sakaeda cousins have finally graduated Junior High school and they have changed physically.

Peter started donning a 7/3 parted hair with sides that were faded. He was now standing at a good 193 centimeters and weighed in at 98.5 kilograms with a face shape of an inverted triangle. Kevin had a ducktail haircut with sides that were short with an accompaniment of a mid-taper, he was slightly shorter than Peter at 188 centimeters and weighing in at 89.2 kilograms with an oval face shape. They stood in front of a luxury apartment building with loads of boxes for them to bring into the said building. The Building was titled Kobayashi Heights as it housed the upper class citizens of Japan.

As of now, it's only a few weeks before UA is holding their entrance exams and their parents bought them an apartment room that was more expensive than Peter's Family's estate. Good thing Peter and Kevin were strong and had enough energy to go down multiple trips to put their things in their bedrooms.

When they opened their door to their penthouse, they were awestruck. The family room contained couches, tables and everything they needed for settling in. They went around the penthouse and were at a loss for words for the amount of things that came with this penthouse and were extremely grateful for this. When there were two Master bedrooms and they were made exactly the same, the only thing was one was at the bottom floor and one was at the top floor. They had managed to get their things and organized their rooms the way they wanted and started to sit in the living room while watching some sports.

"We've almost made it," Peter said, "we just need to take the Entrance Exams and we'll be golden."

Kevin nodded as they relaxed for the night and watched some TV.

[A/N: This is a reference to what their penthouse looks like. Just replace the two rooms on the bottom for another Master Bedroom]

———

Weeks have passed with Peter and Kevin have been doing some training for this moment by doing a lot of weight lifting and some hand-to-hand sparring. But now it was morning and they woke up to do a morning run, showered and then ate breakfast as they were now at the front doors of UA for their Entrance Exams.

"Do you think we should've done the Recommendation Exams?" Kevin asked.

"Doesn't really matter," Peter said, "If we did the Recommendation Exams, we would have to do an additional task. Interviews are required and I don't really want to go through the effort of answering questions. I think doing the written exam and the practical exam is already good enough. Besides, the practical exams I heard for the Recommendation Exams are relatively easy."

"Fair point," Kevin said. The Sakaeda cousins walked into the campus and saw the amount of students from junior high school and were astonished at the sheer number of them. Surely more than half of these applicants have to be declined, right? As they were walking, Peter saw two ladies that looked familiar from somewhere, but he couldn't wrap his finger to how he had seen them before. Both of the girls were around 165 centimeters with slim bodies.

For the first girl who wore a yellow athletic crop top and black tight shorts. She had extremely dark brown hair that was somewhat curly with a v-shaped jawline within that small face of hers. She had fair skin and a small slim nose with a high nose bridge. She had big doe eyes that were brown and fairly plump lips.

For the second girl, she wore a blue jacket and black leggings. She had black hair and had an oval-shaped jawline and had a small face like the first girl. She also had fair skin, but her skin was a bit paler. Like the first girl, this girl's eyes were big, but they were big feline eyes and she had heart-shaped lips that were a bit thin.

Peter soon realized who they were and lightly hit Kevin on the shoulder.

"What?"

"Look to your left," Peter said. Kevin looked and saw the two girls and soon also realized who they were. The two girls were a part of a K-Pop Idol Group Peter listened to, it seemed like disbandment led to two of them coming to UA for the Entrance Exams.

"What the hell are two members from Enigma doing here?!" Kevin asked in a loud whisper.

Peter shrugged as he looked at the two girls who looked to be confused about where to go. He soon started walking towards them with Kevin following behind.

"Excuse me," Peter said.

The two girls looked at Peter and Kevin who were almost a full foot taller than them. The girl with the yellow top gave them a smile.

"Hello," the said girl said with a bogan Australian accent.

"Are you two here for the UA Entrance Exams?" Peter asked.

The girl in yellow had a look that showed she was pleasantly surprised, "Yeah, she and I were able to join through their International Program, so if we don't get into the Hero Course, we could pursue other areas of study here."

"Oh nice," Peter said.

"What about you, two?"

"Oh, we are citizens here," Peter said, "despite being born in the states. Hence why we can speak English. But to answer your question, if we don't pass, we'll just find another school with a good Hero Course. What about you, how do you know English well?"

"I'm Korean-Australian," the girl said, "she's from Korea all the way and we are from—"

"Korea, I'm guessing?" Peter said, "I can tell, we know who you both are from Enigma. Don't worry your secret's safe with us."

What made her surprised wasn't the fact the boys knew her and her friend, it was Peter's multilingual skills as he introduced himself, "I'm uh… Peter and this is my cousin Kevin."

"Hey," Kevin waved at the girls who waved at him back.

"I'm Mary Choi," the girl in yellow said, "The girl in green is Hoyeon Kang, but she goes by Vanessa."

The said girl smiled as Peter and Kevin waved at her. Kevin had pulled out his phone to check on the time and saw it was five to 9:00.

"We should probably get going," Kevin said, "we have five minutes to get to the auditorium."

The group walked into the auditorium and they couldn't sit next to each other due to how packed they were. As Peter sat at a random seat he was waiting for the presentation. Peter figured that if the campus was nice, then the interior was going to be the same. After a few minutes, lights began to turn on as a lone figure was seen in front of the room. This person turned out to be a man who was tall and slender with long, spiky blonde hair and a small mustache. He wore a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" written on the headband and a pair of sunglasses. His outfit consists of a black jacket with an upturned collar complete with studs. He sports a tan, studded shoulder pads, black pants with a red studded belt, black boots, and black fingerless gloves. His neck is completely covered by a large speaker.

'Who knew Present Mic would be here?' Peter thought, 'is he going to be a teacher?'

"What's up, UA candidates?! Thanks for tuning into me, your school DJ," The speaker then opened Present Mic's arms with a big smile. "Come on, everyone! Let me hear you say yay!" He then cupped his ear, ready for someone to say something.

[SILENCE]

'Tough crowd…' Peter thought.

"Keeping it mellow, huh? That's fine, I'll skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam works, okay?" He then pointed his fingers at everyone, "Are you ready?!"

[STILL SILENCE]

And yet again, no one said anything.

"Just as the application requires, you listeners will be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this," Present Mic said as the large television screen started showing seven groups, each representing a letter from A to G, "After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?"

Peter looked at his card, the test location was Battle Center B. He later looked at the television screen as it showed 3-D models of several buildings.

"Alright, let's check out your targets," Present Mic got everyone's attention once more. On each corner of the screen, four robot-like shadows appeared with one having 1P, another having 2P and the third having 3P. "There are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your Quirk to raise your score by shredding these faux villains like a mid-song guitar solo." Present Mic then pointed at the crowd. "But make sure you keep things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA will not be tolerated."

Peter nodded as if he understood the directions and looked around and soon saw a hand raised.

"May I ask a question," a male voice asked.

"Okay!"

"You've listed four types of villains, not three. With all due respect, if this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students. We expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do," the candidate explained with a professional tone. Peter looked at the candidate who made an outburst and saw that he had navy blue hair and glasses and a blazer from what looked like the Somei Private Academy.

The candidate kept talking, "In addition, you over there with the curly hair—" Peter looked to who the candidate was pointing to and saw a green haired boy pointed to himself, as if asking if he was the problem, "—You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"

The room was filled with giggles, but Peter thought otherwise as the boy was now humiliated.

'That was just unnecessary…' Peter thought.

Present Mic replied, "Okay, okay, Examinee Number 7111. Thanks for the great message." He shot a thumbs up.

Continuing his presentation, Present Mic said, "The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. That guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center: An obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it, either."

On the screen, there was another 8-bit Present Mic, but instead of taking on the 0-point villain, he ran away from it.

"I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it."

The test candidate bowed, apologized for interrupting, and finally sat down.

Back to the Present Mic. "That's all from me! Finally, I'll give you listeners a present, our school motto! The hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said: 'A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes.' Go beyond. Plus Ultra! Now, everyone, good luck suffering!"

"Well that's a weird way of wishing us well," Peter said to himself.

———

Peter was in front of Battle Center B, he wore a white athletic t-shirt and black shorts with black compression pants underneath. He wore white sneakers that looked like old skool vans that had thin soles for his feet to stick on the wall. Even though the t-shirt was not tight, it showed his muscular chest and his huge arms which had him receiving looks aside from his handsome features. But it was all outside noise being blocked with him listening to some music from his bluetooth earbuds. Soon, a hand tapped on his shoulder and he looked back.

The person who tapped on his shoulder was Mary as she gave him a friendly smile. He couldn't help but notice how pretty she was, but he had maintained his mask as he displayed a sense of calmness.

"It's good to see a familiar face," Mary said.

"We've just met," Peter said in an incredulously-blunt tone, "but I understand what you're saying."

"Say…" Mary started to wonder something, "How do you know Korean?"

"My Mother's from Korea," Peter said, "what about you, is your Mother from Korea."

"Oh nice," Peter said, "are you guys staying with a host family around here or…"

"Oh naur," Mary said, "we live in Kobayashi Heights."

"Oh no way," Peter said, "Kevin and I live there as well."

"Are you the guys living on the penthouse floor?" Mary asked.

"Yeah that's us," Peter said, "how do you know?"

"The building owner told Vanessa and I that two teens our age were living up there," Mary said.

"Okay wow," Peter said in surprise, "perhaps after this Kevin and I can host dinner for you ladies."

Mary nodded and Peter chuckled at how small of a world they all lived in. He looked past Mary's shoulder and saw the green haired boy from earlier.

"Um excuse me, I'll be right back," Peter said as he walked off. Mary looked to see where Peter was walking as the latter approached someone.

Peter walked towards the green-haired boy who had his back turned to Peter. The said boy saw a shadow looming over his shoulder and looked behind him to show a tall, muscular teenage boy. The green haired boy started stumbling back in fear which made Peter realize he scared the green haired boy.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Peter said, "Let me help you up."

Peter grabbed the green haired boy by the underarms with ease.

'He's picking me up like I'm a small child…' the green haired boy thought as he was held up for his legs to dangle. Peter soon put him down on his feet and dusted him.

"Okay…" Peter said, "Now you look better. I just wanted to check in on you after what that person did during Present Mic's presentation."

"O-Oh that," the green-haired boy said, "don't worry about that. It's nothing I can't handle."

"If you say so," Peter said. He looked to his right as he heard footsteps and saw Mary walking up to him, "I didn't introduce myself, I'm Sakaeda Peter."

"An English name?"

"It's a long story," Peter said as Mary was now standing next to him.

"I'm Mary," Mary said.

"Midoriya Izuku. It's nice to meet you guys," Midoriya said, "it's nice to meet you guys. If you don't mind me asking, how do you two know each other?"

"We actually don't REALLY know each other," Peter said, "we just met each other. My cousin, his name is Kevin. I think he's at another Battle Center for his Entrance Exams."

"What about you, Mary-san?" Midoriya asked.

"I do," Mary said, "her name is Vanessa, she and I are from Korea. She and I got accepted to UA through their International Student Program, she's in another Battle Center too, I think."

"Oh I see…" Midoriya said, "So do you guys live near here?"

"We actually found out we live at Kobayashi Heights," Mary said, "but not in the same room."

Midoriya's eyes widened with shock. Kobayashi Heights was the most expensive condominium building in all of Japan for its luxury living space and state of the art gymnasium, not to mention the distance it is from UA, "Isn't that the most expensive Apartment Building in Japan?!"

"Yeah, but my parents got my cousin and I the Penthouse," Peter said, "I think he's in another Battle Center."

"What about you, Mary-san?" Midoriya asked.

"Same here," Mary said in a quick manner. Peter figured that she wasn't ready to reveal her past as a member of a KPop Idol group just yet and left it like that so he said nothing. Midoriya nodded to the information he was receiving, but the two teens saw that he was still nervous.

"Still nervous?" Mary asked.

Midoriya timidly nodded as he couldn't help but tell the truth, but soon Mary patted his shoulder, "No need to worry," Mary said, "Just stay calm and do your best!"

"Thanks," Midoriya said, "I wish I had your optimism."

Midoriya later looked around, but soon gasped as he saw someone. The two looked to where Midoriya was looking and someone with brown-hair.

"You know her?" Peter asked.

"Yeah," Midoriya said, "she actually saved me from tripping and falling over with her Quirk."

"Did you get the chance to thank her?" Peter said, "Surely she would appreciate your gratuity."

"That's a good idea!" Midoriya said, but he was nervous as he had never talked to a girl before and Peter seemed to notice that.

"Would you like us to come with you, for support," Mary asked.

"No it's okay," Midoriya said, "I'll do it myself."

He started to walk and just as he was about to talk to the brown-haired girl, someone stopped him. Peter remembered that it was the Somei kid who made the outburst earlier and decided that he needed to stop whatever was going on. Mary soon started to follow as well, not wanting to be left behind.

"That girl looks like she's trying to focus on the test ahead," the Somei boy said, "What are you going to do? Distract her and ruin her chances to succeed?"

"No, no, no. Of course not! I—"

"If you had talked to her, she wouldn't be able to focus on the trial, would she?" the Somei boy sternly asked. Peter managed to hear everything as he was approaching them.

"What's going on here?" the tall teenager asked.

"He was going to ruin a person's chance to succeed," the Somei boy said.

"Okay hold on," Peter said, "first off, he wasn't trying to do anything bad. All he wanted to do was thank her for something she helped him with. Don't just assume something, that just makes you look completely ignorant."

The Somei boy started to glare at Peter who had an expression on his face as if he was not going to back down. Peter was taller, but the Somei boy still stood his ground, but Mary got in between them and gently pushed her new friend back gently.

"Hold on," Mary said, "now isn't the time for conflict, we have to get ready for the test."

The Somei boy huffed out in annoyance and started to walk away.

"Okay, START!"

[SILENCE]

"What's wrong? There are no countdowns in real fights! Run, run! The die has been cast, you know!"

Everyone ran for the door, but Peter stood behind as he did a few hops to get the blood flowing and after he felt like he warmed up enough he smirked in excitement as he sprinted and did a massive leap over the other contestants. He smirked as he held his wrists out and used his middle and ring finger and pressed them along his palms to spin a web on each hand. As two web-lines stuck to a wall he pulled himself forward.

Everyone saw Peter soaring over the air past them and stopped in shock at how fast, high, and far he was jumping.

The first robot he saw was a three point robot, did a web-strike towards the robot and threw the robot to another, causing them to explode.

The other candidates' jaws dropped at how fast he was plowing the field.

"Check that guy out."

"He's wrecking them like they're nothing."

Peter did a few wall jumps as he was racking up the points. He did a spin dive to the ground from the wall and was sticking on it to see where everyone was. From a bird's eye view, he looked around and saw Mary destroying robots and some of the debris were flying towards him. He dodge the shrapnel and looked at her with narrowed eyes.

"Can you be careful where you make a mess," Peter said. She gave an apologetic smile as she stuck out her tongue and started running off to find more robots to destroy.

After Peter finished smashing the robot against the ground continuously, he threw the said robot like a bowling ball to destroy the others like pins.

He dusted his hands and sighed in content, "I think I'm good—"

[HEAD RING]

Peter started to feel his Spider-Sense go off. He wasn't aware that he froze in place until Mary walked up to him and spoke up.

"Peter what's going on?" Mary asked.

"Sorry," Peter said, "I have this Spider-Sense as one of my powers, and it's kicking in."

[GROUND SHAKE]

Peter felt the ground shake and he started to hear something come out of the ground. He looked behind him to see a massive robot towering him and the other test candidates. He looked around to see other students running away. The 0 point robot was rolling down and the test candidates kept running.

"We should go," Peter said, "there's no way we have enough manpower to destroy the robot."

"I think they went a little too hard with the 0 point robot," Mary said.

"I think that's putting it lightly," Peter said.

The two were about to run, but Peter stopped as he heard someone calling out for something. He looked back and saw a girl with brown hair that Midoriya was trying to approach earlier and Midoriya running towards the robot. He later looked at her with a new plan.

"New plan," Peter said, "make sure no one is left behind. I'm going to save the girl and Midoriya."

She nodded and ran off while Peter ran towards Midoriya and the brown haired girl. He managed to get to the brown-haired girl first.

"Are you okay?" Peter asked.

"I need help," the girl said, "this is too heavy."

Peter soon lifted the rubble up and threw it away and started to carry her. As soon as he was at a safe distance, he put her down gently.

"Stay here," Peter said.

Peter jumped high and started to web-swing towards Midoriya and the robot and landed on the rooftop of a building closest to Midoriya and the robot, but he stopped and perched on the wall as he saw Midoriya high in the air with his fist pulled back.

"SMASH!" With that, Izuku landed a devastating punch to the robot's head, causing it to fall back while exploding from the inside. Every single examinee looked at Izuku in pure shock and Peter's eyes and mouth were wide open.

"Holy shit…" Peter said in shock.

He kept looking at Midoriya, but he had a face of fear as he saw Midoriya falling down with his right arm and legs flapping along with the wind.

"NO!" Peter screamed as he jumped off the roof he was on and did a bullet dive. He shot out a web line from his right wrist as he kept mouthing, "Come on," repeatedly. Midoriya saw Peter diving towards him with a web line approaching him so out of instinct he used his free and unbroken hand to reach the web line. When Peter saw Midoriya grabbing the web line, he pulled Midoriya and managed to bear hug the green-haired boy. Peter soon shifted his body so his back could face the ground and impact him instead of Midoriya.

[BOOM]

Peter fell with Midoriya in his arms, back first and created a mini crater. He started to get up, but his back was starting to hurt. He got out of the crater with Midoriya on his shoulder and put him on the ground gently.

"Ow…" Peter said, "that hurt."

"Sakaeda-kun?" Midoriya looked at Peter who nodded, but he soon heard an elderly voice and looked towards the direction where the voice originated from. He saw an elderly woman who wore a nurse uniform and knew who the hero was. Recovery Girl was approaching them and Peter wanted to reassure Midoriya that everything will be fine.

"You'll be fine," Peter said, "Recovery Girl is coming."

He stood up and nodded at Recovery Girl before walking away towards the exit. The entrance exams were over and people were walking over to the locker rooms so he grabbed his bag.

———

Days have passed since the test and he's been waiting for a letter from UA. At this point, he didn't care whether or not he passed, he just wanted a letter from them saying something. He managed to cook some tonkotsu ramen and was eating the said dish, but soon heard keys unlocking the entrance of the Penthouse. Kevin held out two envelopes that contained UA wax seals.

"Hey, I just got our letters…" he said, as he gave Peter his.

"Thank you," Peter said as he stood up to go to his bedroom. When Peter entered his bedroom, he opened the envelope to show a small device and he was kind of dumbfounded with this. He sighed as he placed it on the desk.

'So much for a letter…' he thought.

He started to walk off as he was about to take a shower—

"I am here as a projection!" a masculine voice bellowed.

Peter stopped and turned around to see All Might as a projection.

'What's this?' Peter thought.

"This is a letter to inform you that you have passed!" All Might said, "Not only that, you have broken the record for the most points accumulated in the entrance exams with a big score of 109 points!"

The projector showed the scoreboard and Peter was indeed first and under him was his cousin, Kevin with 101 points. Mary and Vanessa were below Kevin with 78 and 82 points respectively, but he wasn't familiar with someone whose name was Katuski Bakugou who had 77 points.

The screen transitioned to All Might as he said, "Congratulations, Sakaeda-shounen. This is… your Hero Academia!"

'Well as if going ham in front of a bunch of other people didn't draw a lot of attention,' he thought, but he soon reverted his thought as he kind of attracted attention with him performing the way he did during the Entrance Exams.

Soon the message turned off and the device started to fry itself up with sparks flying out, a small self-destruction. Throughout all this time, had a face of happiness as he heard a knock on his door. He got up and ran to open it to see Kevin.

"I GOT IN!" Kevin said.

"Me too!" Peter said as the two got in for a brotherly hug. The two soon heard doorbells and saw Vanessa and Mary in front of the doors with happiness written all over their faces.

"I guess congratulations are in order," Peter said, "have you guys gotten anything to eat?"

They shook their heads and Peter opened the door wider, "Then come in, I can make you two something."

Mary and Vanessa got inside as they made an unplanned celebration with some hot pot and some Kobe beef that Peter gets from his parents. They ate a heaping amount of kobe beef with udon and kurobuta chashu pork belly. They all were laughing about jokes and drinking soda, not before saying this.

"Geonbae!"

(Play Demon Slayer Opening 3 - Zankyou Sanka by Aimer)

It was a weekend as Peter has now been sitting on his desk for hours and while he was on his computer.

(Da-dara-dara-da-da Dara-da-da, dara-da-da Da-dara-dara-da-da Dara-da-da, dara-da-da-ra)

He had two wrist devices that were on his workbench. Peter had them designed to assist with his organic webbing by creating web combinations such as splitting web, web impact, taser webs, web grenades, concussive blasts, flashbangs, ricochet webbing, and trip mines.

(Taga sode ni saku genka)

He was typing up something on his computer that was plugged into a fabricator which was constructing Kevin's Hero Outfit at the moment. On the screen, it showed two models. It was him in two 3D models of possible Hero Outfits designs for him.

(Tada soko ni ai wo otoshita)

On one side it was red and black with no web patterns and white lenses. There was a black spider insignia on the front that was fairly big and enlarged red spider insignia on the back where there was black. On the other side it showed a pure black suit that had white lenses as well with a white large spider insignia on what would be his chest and the back insignia was similar to his red and black suit, but the ends of the legs would be sharp and the color would be white of course.

(Hade ni iro wo tokasu yoru ni)

"Hey Kevin, your suit's ready," Peter said. Kevin came into Peter's room and retrieved his suit. As Kevin was trying on the suit, it was yellow with black accents. There were two gauntlets that were black and each of them had 3 silver slivers where the metal claws would spout out.

(Ginshu no tsuki wo soete)

The suit was made of a kevlar polymer and was comfortable for Kevin as he was inspecting the suit he was wearing. He put on the yellow mask that came with it and saw that it had black eyepieces that pointed up. He nodded in approval as he took off the suit to pack in his bag so he could give his suit to UA.

(Korogaru you ni kaze wo kitte, Tsumazuku koto ni tsuyoku natta, Hikari mo itami mo ikari mo zenbu Dakishimete)

"Hey, before you leave, I need your opinion on this. Which suit would look better on me?"

Kevin looked at the two suits and stood up straight and thought about it for a minute.

"I don't know, do what you think is best…" Kevin said, "I'm sorry I can't help you."

(Eraba renakereba erabeba ii)

Peter took a deep breath as he looked at which suit should be used for the fabricator. He later moved the cursor on top of the black suit and looked at it for a minute. He liked the simplicity of the suit and thought to himself that it can help with stealth, but the minus is that it can be a bit menacing.

(Koe o karashite moeru hana no you ni, Yamima o terashitara, Aimaisugiru seikai mo fumen ni shite, Yoru o kazoete, Asa o egaku youna? Azayakana ne o narasu, Donnani fukai koukai mo donnani takai genkai mo, Kakikeshite zankyou)

Soon, the fabricator started powering as it started to create Peter's suit. He looked at every detail that was being created as he looked intently at the suit being created. As the suit was done, he held his suit up.

(Da-dara-dara-da-da Dara-da-da, ara-da-da Da-dara-dara-da-da Dara-da-da, dara-da-da-ra)

Peter was now in his suit as he looked at himself in the mirror and the lenses shifted with his eyebrows and eyelids. He soon took off his mask and looked at it with furrowed brows looking at the mask and then at the mirror of his own face.
