Bai Chun stood in his room quietly fixing his clothes while listening to the chattering outside the house. He made sure every little detail is perfect based on what the other men told him this morning before he got dressed.
Outside the house is decorated with red cloth hanging on the side of the roof swaying in the wind and some hanging on the wall of the courtyard. There is a table on the side of the walkway that the women quickly decorated and sat food down. Li Bai is rushing around sweeping the floor so that it's not too dusty. She is wearing a pretty yellow ruqun that gave her a cute yet simple look with her hair tied up in a messy yet stylish bun. They kept busy until the sun started coming up a little later.
Once the sun started peeking over the horizon Bai Chun stepped outside and looked around the yard and nodding before looking to the yard gate. There is one of the men holding the wedding donkey waiting for him. So Bai Chun approached and grasped the rope to the donkey and started walking to the village head's home with the crowd of people.
Village Head's Home
Tao Fang is dressed in a red ruqun with a red veil covering her face as she sat waiting to get picked up by the wedding party.
"Eldest sister during my walk tomorrow I will have Bai Chun pick you up so make sure to be dressed with a red cloth when we come." Tao Fang said calmly not showing her anger at bring back a concubine home the day after her wedding. Tao Chun frowns at her tone but still nods.
"Don't act high and mighty just become you will become the main qizi I can gain favor as a concubine and suppress you." She said giving Tao Fang a glare at the back of her head. Tao Fang sighs before turning to look at Tao Chun through her veil.
"Eldest sister I am young I can gain and keep favor easily so mind yourself and know your place as a concubine." She said coldly before standing once she heard the sound of people approaching. At that moment Tao Ming came to the girls dressed up with her hair done and looked them over with a nod she left the house with the village head.
"Welcome the bride and her elder sister is coming out right now." She said with a smile before turning to look at the door that opened when her words finished. The door opened and Tao Chun stepped out holding red cloth she bowed to the group of people her eyes lingering on Bai Chun in the forefront. He ignored her and looked at Tao Fang standing quietly in red.
Tao Chun clenched her teeth but turned and placed the red cloth she is holding on the ground in front of the door then stepping back out the way. Tao Fang took a step down onto the cloth and stood there as Bai Chun approached and quickly picked her up in a princess carry, he took her to the donkey and sat her on it before turning to leave to the house with the village heads family the nearest with the crowd behind them.
Once the huge group of people reached the gate of Bai Chun's home Tao Chun quickly rushes to the front and places red cloth from the donkey to the door of the house before moving out the way again.
Bai Chun turned and reached his hand out to help Tao Fang down and they both walked along the red cloth to the door before taking a knife help by Li Bai and cutting a piece of their hair and placing it in a small red pouch held by Tao Chun then getting on their knees the bow three times before standing again. Tao Fang enters the home and Bai Chun turns to the people.
"Well the boring ceremony is over lets party!" He said happily. The men cheer ignoring their wives and qizi's disapproving gazes. All women and children quickly leave to go home now that everything is done. The men then start passing out alcohol and drinking.
The day passes with the loud cheers of men and them jeering Bai Chun on. Inside the house Tao Fang sat on the bed nervously thinking about the wedding night while listening to the noise outside. As time passed you felt weaker and weaker since she isn't eating. By the end of the day all the men left with the front yard trashed and Bai Chun stumbled his way into the house. The only ones in the house is Bai Chun and Tao Fang since Li Bai went next door for the wedding night.
Bai Chun stumbles into the room almost falling multiple times. Tao Fang stands up once she saw him and quickly helped him to the bed sitting him down. Finally on the bed and not feeling like he will hit the floor Bai Chun looks up and rips the veil off her face. He looks at her face with a smile.
"Your just as beautiful as I remember from years ago." He said, to which Tao Fang blushes while looking at him. Suddenly Bai Chun pulls her face down for a sloppy kiss that quickly heats up not giving Tao Fang a chance to breath. He yanks her into the bed and rolls on top of her.
The whole night Li Bai found that she couldn't sleep with her face brightly flushed while listening to the sounds of the cries next door.
