However, there is always a slight delay, often around one second, due to the time it takes for neural signals to travel from the affected area to the brain and be interpreted.

Miyuki experienced that very phenomenon firsthand the moment her back was torn.

"GYAAA...AAAAAAHHHHH!"

With a pained cry, Miyuki was pushed to the ground by the lethal strike. A sharp, agonizing pain emerged from her behind, which was the centre of her back, where the attack had landed. It felt like her back has been clawed by the paws of a bear. Fortunately, her spinal cord was unharmed, but lingering sensation created the illusion that her back was on fire.

Luxuzia, observing the suffering, wore a satisfied, smug grin.
