The sky had begun to pour down rain on both Nyx and Vance who stood before the abandoned house.
"So are we going in there….?" Vance gestured at the house as he speaks to Nyx.
"Yh, Let's go."
Both of them walks towards the door of the house,and Nyx wrestles the door knob which he later finds away to get it open.
He pulled his scarf over his face, making it cover from the nose downwards.
Nyx hangs on to the blade on his back, and he and Vance began to walk into the building.
"It's surprisingly quiet here" Vance stated as he checks the last room of the house.
"They are hiding somewhere.... probably why none of the soldiers never noticed them " Nyx says as he looks around.
"It might be concealing magic…... or just some underground cavern." Vance stated as he looked around…..
"Magic ?..."
"Yes…...Magic..."
"You mean you can use magic ?"
"Of course.... I'm an Earth Affinity user ..... and I use steel magic."
Nyx stares in awe.....he couldn't believe his ear…...there was magic in this world
"This might be a way to get back home.... this might be the long run option that's going to have me leave this world" Nyx spoke to himself in his mind .
Suddenly a loud opening of the abandoned house's door jolted Nyx back to reality and he quickly responded to Vance's order to bend down and move towards the building's inner balcony that gave a view of the ground floor clearly.
Two men were seen walking in with two kids who were tied up and groaning in the attempt to scream for help.
"The boss is going to commend us this time …..hahahahaha…... we've got two strong kids with large amount of Mana and strong magic."
"Yes ….. yes...the boss is going to be happy…... hahahahaha."
Then one of them bent down and hit the floor of the ground floor at a certain pattern….then suddenly in front of both men a sharp spark of gold appeared….and soon it formed into something like a portal .
Both men walked through the golden portal with the kids on their shoulder while chattering.
"Spatial magic!" Vance screamed.
"They are opening portals to a particular place and are hiding the kids there....Human traffickers and their shady shit…" Nyx states as he follows Vance who had started running down the stairs.
Both of them stand over the floor on the ground floor while staring at it .
"You remember the pattern?...." Vance looks towards Nyx who bends over the floor…
"I'll try….." Nyx replies as he begun to hit the floor at the rhythmic pattern the other men had hit it .
The golden spark appears again and the portal appears again.
Vance and Nyx walks into the portal and then it seemed like they started to fall into a void.
Nyx pulled his sword from his back unwrapped it as he was falling.
Inside the void as they fell Nyx and Vance sees a lot of cages containing young children of both gender stacked on each other.
