Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Well-Earned Rest

Seiji leaned back in his chair, his stomach pleasantly full from the satisfying meal. The warm atmosphere of the tavern soothed his weary body, and he closed his eyes, savoring the moment of relaxation.

Before long, the waitress returned to his table, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "Is there anything else I can get for you, sir? Perhaps a dessert to cap off your meal?"

Seiji shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "No, thank you. That meal was more than enough. Delicious, too."

The waitress beamed at his compliment, her cheeks tinged with a delicate blush. "I'm glad to hear that, sir. Now, is there anything else I can assist you with?

Seiji nodded, his eyes heavy with fatigue. "Yes, actually. I'm new to this town, and I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good inn or a place where I might rent a room for a longer stay."

The waitress's eyes lit up with enthusiasm as she launched into an explanation of the various accommodation options in the area. "Well, there's the Goldist Sun Inn, which is quite affordable. Or, if you prefer something more luxurious, there's the Silver Moon Manor. For long-term rentals, you'll want to visit the estate agency, but it's already closed for the day. They open again in the morning."

Seiji thanked her for the information, his curiosity piqued. "By the way, what's your name? You've been incredibly helpful."

The waitress' smile widened, and she replied, "It's Rose, sir. And you are most welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay in our fair town."

Seiji rose from his seat, his body refreshed from the meal and Rose's kindness. "Thank you, Rose. I'll be sure to remember your name."

With a final nod, he stepped out of the tavern, his eyes scanning the street for the inn Rose had mentioned. It didn't take long to spot the quaint building, its sign swinging gently in the evening breeze.

He pushed open the door and was greeted by a middle-aged woman with a kindly face. "Hello, mister, are you looking for a room?" she inquired, her voice soft and soothing.

Seiji nodded and inquired about the price. The woman, whose name was revealed to be Mrs. Lin the owner of Lins Inn,45 years old but her appearance look younger, explained the rates: twenty copper coins for a single room and forty copper coins for a double.

Seiji opted for the single room and handed over his identity card for registration. He paid sixty copper coins for a three-day stay, receiving a key in return. Mrs. Lin explained the check-in and out procedures and directed him to his room on the first floor, room number seven.

Seiji climbed the stairs, his body yearning for the comfort of a soft bed. He unlocked the door and stepped inside, his eyes taking in the cozy space. The room was simple but well-appointed, with a comfortable-looking bed, a small table, and a washbasin in the corner.

He undressed, his muscles aching from the long day, and slipped beneath the covers. The bed enveloped him in a cloud of softness, and he sighed contentedly. As he closed his eyes, his mind began to wander, his thoughts drifting to the adventures that awaited him in this magical realm.
