As they explored Eldarado, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see someone lurking in the shadows.
"Guys, I don't like this," she said, her voice low and serious. "I feel like we're being stalked or something."
Jim and Carlos exchanged a nervous glance. "Let's keep moving," Jim said. "We need to find a way back home."
But as they journeyed deeper into Eldarado, the feeling only intensified. Alex could feel eyes upon her, boring into her skin. She knew that they had to be careful.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the mist. It was tall and gaunt, with eyes that glowed like embers.
"Welcome, travelers," it said, its voice low and menacing. "I have been waiting for you."
Alex's heart raced as the figure began to circle around them. She knew that they had to be careful.
"Who are you?" she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
"I am the guardian of Eldarado," the figure replied. "And you, travelers, are trespassers."
Alex stood her ground, refusing to back down. "We mean no harm," she said. "We just want to find a way back home."
The guardian laughed, its eyes glinting with malevolence. "You will never leave Eldarado," it said. "You will stay here, forever trapped in this world."
Alex knew that they had to act fast. She reached into her backpack, searching for anything that could help them.
That's when she found it - a small, glowing crystal that Kanaq had given her earlier.
"Use the crystal," Kanaq whispered, its voice echoing in her mind. "It will protect you from harm."
Alex held up the crystal, and a blast of energy shot out, repelling the guardian. They took advantage of the distraction to make a run for it, dashing through the misty landscape.
But the guardian was relentless, chasing after them with a fierce determination.
Alex knew that they had to keep moving, had to find a way back home before it was too late.
As they journeyed through Eldarado, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She kept catching glimpses of a dark figure lurking in the shadows, but whenever she turned to look, it was gone.
"Guys, I think we're being followed," she said, her voice low and urgent.
Jim and Carlos exchanged a nervous glance. "What do you mean?" Jim asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I keep seeing a dark figure lurking in the shadows," Alex replied, her eyes scanning the surrounding area. "I think it's watching us."
Carlos frowned. "That's not possible," he said. "We're the only ones here."
But Alex knew what she had seen. She could feel the presence watching them, waiting for its moment to strike.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake and tremble. The sky grew dark, and a loud rumbling noise filled the air.
"What's happening?" Jim exclaimed, his voice full of fear.
Alex's heart raced as she realized that they were in the middle of an earthquake. She grabbed onto Jim and Carlos, pulling them close as the ground continued to shake.
But as the earthquake subsided, Alex saw something that made her blood run cold. The dark figure had emerged from the shadows, its eyes fixed on them with a cold, calculating gaze.
"Run," Alex whispered, her voice barely audible. "We have to get out of here, now."
