Chapter 47 - Third and Fourth Chamber

"Are you all prepared?" Ann asked as she looked in front of her.

Blake, Kate, and Noi, all the party members, nodded their heads as they turned towards the third chamber.

"Open it." Ann said as Ben nodded his head and extended his head.

The door was entirely covered by plants, creating an illusion of it being made of plants.

Even the doorknob looked like a tree branch, but Ben didn't feel any threat as he simply placed his hand on it and opened it.

Clack

"Be on your guard, everyone." He said as they all walked in.

Chirp Chirp

"This is outside?" Finding themselves in grassland with the actual sky above them, Kate muttered as she and the others observed their surroundings.

"No. This is just a domain made to look like we are outside." Ann said as Kate looked towards her.

"This is artificial?" she asked as it seemed impossible to differentiate between real and artificial.

"Yes. You three can't tell it yet, but this is in fact not real. Everything in this place is magic." Ann explained as Kate gazed at the sky and then at the distant space.

'This seems like an endless place.' She thought as she wondered how far she could go in this magic.

Unlike Kate and Blake, who were having thoughts like that, Noi was staring at her .

'If this place is magic… will it work?' She thought as her grip around the tightened.

The thing they waited for finally showed up as they saw a paper flipping above them.

[Welcome challengers!]

Flip

[Learning your lessons after fighting the monsters, you decided to turn a new leaf and become adventurers. This is part of your journey.]

Flip

[Travel this vast forest and search for the witch's home. The witch is an enemy to the ruler; destroy her and her home.]

'The witch? Finally.'

As Ann read the description, she felt a sense of relief and excitement as she had to forcefully keep a poker face and not let anyone know about her excitement.

The witch's home, that was it.

That's where the thing she originally came here for existed.

The black flame, one of the sacred flames from the goddess of flame. She was finally close to it.

"Looks like it will be a searching adventure." Blake said as he looked at the vast forest in front of him.

This forest had dark wood trees growing and looked like it was unoccupied and undiscovered by the residents of this world.

It appeared to be just as vast as the frond forest.

"There is also no time limit; it looks like the journey here would be a small one." Kate said as she smirked.

The three, Blake, Kate, and Noi, were brimming with confidence since it was now their time to shine.

Living, exploring, and scouting in forests was one of the works they specialized in. It was also one of the main reasons for Ann to choose them over other members of the [Hosling Guild].

"Ok. Get to the work like we planned." Ann said as she took out the two crystal artifacts and gave them to Blake and Kate.

"You know how to activate them, right?" She asked as they nodded their heads.

Noi walked towards the closest dark wood tree. Gripping her , she stabbed its one end to the roots of the tree and closed her eyes.

'Please work.' She thought as her started to glow a dim green light.

Various images appeared on her head as she smiled. It worked.

She was now partially connected to the forest and could share visions with small animals and plants.

"It's a great thing Noi discovered this feature of her . It will make our work so much easier." Blake said as he looked at Noi.

"It's not a discovery; she invented it. And on top of that, she is the only human who can use a like that." Kate said as Blake nodded her head.

"Her title really works wonder." He said.

's one and only job was the support in mana control and supply.

When Noi first showed this trick to them, they were shocked to learn it, but she later explained that she could only do this with the help of a title she had.

When asked others who used a to try the same, they always failed.

Although the party member didn't know what her title was since she never said it, they didn't care as privacy was a respected thing in the adventuring job.

"Stop chatting and spread." Ann said as Blake and Kate nodded their heads and disappeared into the woods.

"Why? How can it be?" Aiden muttered as he desperately looked around.

"I fell together with that stone, so it must be here somewhere." He muttered as he tossed and turned every debris around him.

Eden's situation wasn't getting any better as he was the same, which made Aiden worry even more.

Stopping to catch his breath, Aiden calmed himself as he tried to think of a way to exit the dungeon.

"Huh?"

As he was thinking, he suddenly realized that the place he was in was familiar.

"This… this is the hallway that leads to chambers." He muttered as he looked at some distance.

As he did so, he saw a torch, which formed an idea in his head.

Gulp

"…Do you think my idea would work?" Aiden muttered as he swallowed his saliva in nervousness.

Ding

[Your idea might work, but it's extremely dangerous, host. You might lose your life.]

The window replied as Aiden frowned.

"Then what else can I do? At this rate, something might happen to him. If anything happens to him, I'm taking my life." He stubornly said as he followed the torch.

Ding

[Then I will do my best to search for one.]

The window replied as Aiden nodded his head and started running towards the light.

"Huh?"

As he ran, he saw the door as he stopped and slowed down.

"…T-this." He muttered as he slowly approached the door.

"…This is the fourth chamber." He said as he had remembered how every door to a chamber looked like.

The golden door, its magnificent size, and the luster that made it seem untouchable—it was indeed the fourth chamber.

"How could I directly skip to the fourth chamber?" He muttered as he felt enchanted by the door.

A tingling feeling arose in his mind as he found himself just staring at the door and finding it desirable.

Something was happening to him, but he couldn't fight against it.

A thought of desiring the gold popped up in his mind as his eyes started to glow golden.

His mind was getting foggy.

He raised his hand and extended it towards the door.

'I want it.'

A thought arose as he started walking towards it.

Whoosh

As his mind was getting foggy from the magic of the door, a dim green light erupted from his body and cleared his mind.

'This is!'

It was Noi's spell that she had cast before entering the first chamber.

'I can't believe this is helping me right now.'

Aiden thought as he distanced himself a little from the door to not get enchanted again.
