Spenatra is a peaceful city filled skyscraper buildings and neon lights and towering bill boards. It has a warm environment one that makes you feel safe as if like there was no harm that could get to you. Technology in this city had exploded, it had the most advanced gadgets and weapons alike. The people that inhabit this land are well known for their generosity, the perfect neighborhood, I suppose that's how most people view it. This city definitely had problems, like crime. According to statistics, this city is also noted for having the tenth highest crime rate. In this city, people will often pair themselves up based on their intelligence, interest in technology, sport, beauty, attitude and many more.
Then there's me, Draitus, a boy who doesn't fit in with any group. My attitude is somehow in the middle, I'm too nice to be a jerk and I'm such a huge jerk to the nice people. I am intelligence but don't meet the minimum IQ level to be a part of the intelligence squad, I never had an interest in technology or played any sports. As for my family, the Wartrus, they are well known for their riches and have a good reputation within the city. My mom, Telecron, is a tech genius. She invented most of the advanced gadgets around the city while my dad is business man. He owns multiple business from the mine, to the manufacturing company, he is the one who supplies Mom's company with equipment for her work. I lived in a mansion with white painted walls and had everything that a mansion should have. My room was painted in light blue and I had a lot of toys and gadgets.
It was still in the morning and I just finished freshing up and got dressed when I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and Vascronic was there.
Vascronic: Draitus hurry up and get your back pack or we are gonna be late for school
Draitus: well hello to you to Vascronic, it's only 6 am so we still got time but if your such in a rush then let me go get my stuff real quick.
Vascronic: yeah yeah whatever man, just hurry up bro.
Vascronic and I have been friends since we were two years old. Our friendship definitely had its ups and downs but no matter how difficult things got we always have each other's backs, from the time where his dad dead to the time where my parents nearly got divorced. We always promised each other that come mountain waves or volcano erruption, we will always be best friends. I picked up my backpack and we were on our way to school.
Draitus: what's going on between you and. Lara
Vascronic: nothing, why did you ask me that?
Draitus: I'm just curious because I have a feeling that you like this girl
Vascronic: no I don't.
Draitus: yeah right
I knew Vascronic was lying about not having a crush on Lara, and it wasn't because he wasn't good at hiding it; in fact, he is so excellent at disguising it that you can't tell by his facial expressions or behavior, but I knew she liked this lady. Let's call it intuition; it's never been incorrect before. We arrived at school on time and began to attend classes.
Vascronic was with his soccer squad during lunchtime. I was sitting alone in the cafeteria, reading a book about technology, when Lara approached me.
Lara: hey
Draitus: hey Lara, what did I do to deserve a visit from you? (I said laughing)
Lara: it's just that I wanted to invite you to come watch the stars with me.
Draitus: that's great, where exactly?
Lara: there's a planetarium near the coast just outside of the city. I guess I'll see you there 7pm sharp.
Draitus: ohk great I guess I'll see you there
Then Lara left, leaving me to read my book in peace. Something about Lara's invitation stood out, though; she was earnest about us stargazing at the planetarium, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something horrible was going to happen today. "I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there," I murmured to myself as I grabbed my belongings from the cafeteria and headed to my next lesson as lunch ended.
Later that evening, I went to see this planetarium with Lara. When I arrived, Lara was already waiting with the keys to enter the planetarium. She opened the planetarium, and we entered.
Draitus: It looks like you came prepared. Do you know the owner of this planetarium?
Lara: you can say that. The owner is actual my dad.
Draitus: oh, I see. Which is your favourite planet?
Lara: it is actually planet Domira. what about you, what's your favourite planet?
Draitus: Domira? I haven't heard of that planet before, well mine is actually mars.
Lara: well, little is known about planet Domira because no one has explored it. I also only heard rumours about it as well as legends about its inhabitants so it kind of intrigues me.
We talked a short bit while I helped her set up everything. We looked at all of the stars and planets we could see, and we were fortunate enough to witness a meteor shower. We were enjoying each other's company when we felt the ground tremble and heard a huge BOOM! We dashed out of the planetarium, only to discover a massive plume of smoke above the city. As if one explosion wasn't enough, another occurred, and this one was even larger than the first, resembling an atomic bomb. The noise from the huge explosion was even louder than previously. I felt electric jolts all over my body as I began to overthink what had just happened, and because my body was still in shock, I did not move immediately. When I started thinking about my family, I rushed as fast as I could towards the city.
After hours of running, I eventually arrived in the city. There were no complete or standing buildings; it appeared that the city had been utterly destroyed, but there were no dead people anywhere. I went to my house to see if my family had survived the explosion, but it was in the same condition as the other house, with no bodies nearby. This was weird; does it imply that everyone escaped before the explosion? What was going on here? I asked myself as tears began to flow from my eyes. Then I spotted a box that wasn't destroyed and took it.
Then I heard Lara's voice, everything happened so fast that I forgot about her, I took off without.
Lara: it seems like everyone escaped the explosion but where are they?
Draitus: im also asking myself the same question. What now? What must we do?
Lara: I suggest we heard towards the mountain range. I know someone who might shed some light about this situation we are in
Draitus: ohk lets go
Then Lara and I began walking towards the ice mountain range. I'd never been near that mountain, but I had to trust Lara at this point, although I kept wondering why did this happen now.
