"Hurry up! We can't let the knight wait for us"
The villagers shout at the people lagging behind. If they're slow, they fear that the deer might catch up.
"I'm sorry!" The mother said with a worried voice. "Fina please pick it up faster"
"I'm already done, mom!"
Fina said with a bright smile on her face, her hands rubbing together to wipe off the snow. The mother didn't mind her antics and galloped the horse to catch up with the rest of the group. But they didn't go far.
The horse had been running the whole day, their leg was a little wobbly. Escpeallit for some that had to carry the knight, all that weight or armor and supplies really hurt it back. However it couldn't be asked for a rest, the monster might catch up if they threw a tantrum.
As basic as they are, they still know fear when they experience it.
