The wolf charged in but was met with a table. Hilda had spotted it lying around and knew it would act as a perfect distraction. The table blocked the wolf's vision, but its sturdy body easily broke it in two.
Hilda quickly threw a knife from behind the table, catching the wolf off guard. With minimal time to react, the wolf's face received a new decoration as the knife struck it. It screamed in pain. As a creature, it wasn't very smart to begin with, and the distortion of its frontal face made it even dumber than before, but this simple trick proved quite effective.
Hilda quickly inflicted pain upon herself to make the wolf feel even worse. Her blade had been aimed at its brain, intending to kill it in a single strike however, upon seeing it limping, she went for the kill shot.
