Chapter 139: Tides of Power

With the elves gone, Aldritch returned to his tent, the air, thick with the faint hum of magic as the artifact pulsed weakly in the corner, still being held afloat with blood. Aldritch gently placed it on a stool, its glow subdued but persistent. Aldritch stood over it, his eyes narrowing in contemplation.

He called for Sigmund, so he would look at the artefact, if there was anyone or group of people who would know something about it, it was Sigmund and his scientists.

A few minutes later after Sigmund arrived with one of the scientists under him, he stepped forward, his analytical gaze fixed on the relic. "This artifact is a puzzle, Lord Aldritch. Its magic feels… foreign. It isn't just ancient, it resists control, almost as if it has a will of its own."
