Onyok found himself in a dilemma, unsure of how to slip past the guards who were hot on his trail. His heart pounded, his senses heightened to the slightest sound as he tiptoed through the shadows.
Each step felt like a gamble, every breath a risk. His eyes darted from side to side, scanning for an escape, when his hand brushed against something solid—a wall.
It was ordinary enough, or so he thought, until his fingers accidentally pressed against a hidden button embedded within the stone. Without warning, the wall gave way under his touch, swinging open with a faint, ominous creak.
"What the—?"
Onyok whispered, more to himself than to anyone else. His breath caught in his throat as his mind raced, trying to process what just happened.
A hidden passageway, here of all places?
"What's a room doing here?"
He muttered, half in disbelief, half in wonder.
