A cold breeze enveloped the forest surrounding the entire mansion; the sound of rustling leaves and the distant chirping of birds were the only things breaking the silence, which only heightened the tension inside the mansion.
Helene sat in her favorite chair, tightly clasping her hands in her lap, while Arthur paced the room, the worry etched on his face. Castiel stood by the window, gazing into the distance.
Suddenly, the temperature in their room dropped.
An unseen presence was felt by them. It radiated a peaceful yet powerful energy.
They all looked towards the door, where they saw a hooded figure standing.
Due to his natural protective instincts, Arthur quickly stepped forward to protect his family. His body was tense, but he was ready for whatever might happen. He immediately addressed the mysterious figure.
"Who are you?"
"Please, forgive my sudden arrival. I did not come here to disturb you. I am here to guide and protect you."
This response gave the whole family a bit of comfort, but they remained alert and prepared for any potential threats.
Doubt and fear were clear in Castiel's mind, but he managed to ask the figure,
"Are you the one who sent the message?"
The figure nodded firmly, then lowered her hood to reveal her beautiful face and pointed ears. She had arched eyebrows, green eyes, and long golden hair. Her presence was dignified.
She began to introduce herself.
"I am Queen Elara of Eldoria," she paused for a moment and smiled. "I am here to extend an invitation from my kingdom to provide you with protection against those who wish to do harm and exploit the power your child possesses."
Arthur and Helene exchanged glances, unable to fully grasp the situation. Eldoria was a legendary kingdom, shrouded in mystery.
No one could enter without their permission. So, they could hardly believe that the very queen of that realm stood in front of them personally.
Arthur was shocked by the revelation, but he maintained his firm stance. He then asked her again,
"Why would someone like you be interested in us? You wouldn't waste your time on people like us."
She looked into Arthur's eyes.
"Your child is extraordinary. He possesses a special power that can shift the balance in the world of Agarthical, and it's very concerning if it falls into the wrong hands." She paused briefly to take a deep breath. "We druids are guardians of nature's balance, so we must intervene in situations like this to maintain peace. We are opening Eldoria for your family to protect your child and ensure he isn't used for evil."
Helene grew more anxious at the queen's words, so she embraced Castiel tightly.
Doubt was still evident in Castiel, so he asked again,
"And what if we refuse your offer? What will you do?"
Queen Elara's gaze remained serious, but her expression turned sad.
"Then you will remain exposed to those who wish to exploit the power you have, which could lead to severe chaos."
Arthur clenched his fists.
"We just want a peaceful life; that's why we chose to live in the heart of the forest. Why does it have to come to this?"
"Everything has a reason," the queen replied.
Castiel looked at his parents, not wanting them to worry any further. So, taking a deep breath, he spoke to them.
"Mom, Dad. Maybe we need to trust her."
Arthur and Helene nodded in sudden agreement. They realized it might indeed be better to go along with it.
The queen was happy with their decision.
"I promise you will be safe in Eldoria. There, your child can explore his full potential and grow without fear and danger."
They thanked the queen and wasted no time. They began to pack the things they would need for their daily lives.
Queen Elara called her fellow druids to help them with packing so they could leave promptly.
Once they finished their preparations, they quickly left the mansion.
As the caravan departed, Castiel glanced back at the mansion they were leaving behind. Despite the uncertain future ahead, he felt a spark of new hope under the guidance of the queen and the promise of a new beginning.
For Castiel, this was not just a move to a new place; it was the start of a journey that would shape his destiny.
