Within the grand hall of the Xuantian Super Monastery, the atmosphere was thick with tension as 108 sect leaders took their places in an intricate formation of seats. At the head of this assembly sat the stunning and composed Lady Shui Wuhen, the Leader of the 36th - Xuantian Super Monastery. Known for her beauty and strength, she wore a delicate green dress, which complemented her jade-like skin and serene yet commanding presence. Her flawless face radiated grace, but behind those gentle features lay a sharp and unyielding spirit.
At the other end of the hall was Ling Yunzi, the sect leader of the 108th Monastery, seated with a quiet but undeniable authority. Behind him stood Elder Tu Fang, observing the proceedings with solemn eyes.
The topic of the discussion was the recent decisive battle between the Righteous Path and the Corrupt Path, where the 108th Monastery, under the leadership of Long Chen, had played a pivotal role in eradicating the evil of the Corrupt Path from the lands of Su Prefecture. The hall buzzed with murmurs of admiration for the monumental feat achieved, but as with any great victory, not all voices were in favor of the outcome.
Several sect leaders voiced their opposition, claiming that the 108th Monastery had overstepped its bounds in its destruction of the Corrupt Path. They argued that such actions, though heroic, were taken without full council approval and disrupted the delicate balance of power.
Sect Leader Zhi Wu, an older man with a stern face, spoke first. His voice was harsh, cutting through the tension in the air. "We cannot simply allow the 108th Monastery to act without regard for the consequences. The Corrupt Path is a threat, yes, but the actions of the 108th Monastery were reckless! They acted alone, without consulting the larger assembly. Such power cannot be allowed to go unchecked."
Before these voices could gain any more traction, Ling Yunzi rose from his seat, and his presence alone sent a ripple of energy through the hall.
With a voice that was low yet carried with unwavering authority, he addressed the assembly. "While I understand your concerns, I ask you to look at the facts. The 108th Monastery did not act recklessly. We did what was necessary. We have long held to the principle of justice, and the Corrupt Path was a disease threatening to spread further. If we had to ever wait for permission, the lands would continue to fall in ruin and countless would suffer. The Righteous Path needed swift action."
The sheer force of his aura weighed heavily upon the gathering, and many of the protesting leaders found themselves momentarily overwhelmed, their resistance faltering under his gaze. A deep, almost palpable silence spread across the room as the always silent Ling Yunzi had now shown his fangs, his true force and unyielding nature.
With a soft but resolute smile, Lady Shui Wuhen broke the stillness.
She said, her voice gentle but powerful. "I understand the hesitation. Change is never easy. But let us not forget that we are all here to serve a greater purpose of Righteous Path and to eradicate the Corrupt Path. The 108th Monastery has performed an act that has benefited all of us. Long Chen's leadership and the bravery of his disciples have protected us from a future filled with darkness."
She, too, recognized the power of Ling Yunzi and the tremendous achievements of the 108th Monastery. Her voice, clear and authoritative, rang out:
"The 108th Monastery has not only struck down an overwhelming evil but has safeguarded the future of our lands. Instead of punishment, it deserves reward and if someone is against this they need to think on which side they are-- Righteous Path and Xuantian Super Monastery? r Corrupt Path?"
Her declaration rang through the hall, and a decision was made. The 108th Monastery was to receive a massive allocation of resources, with few slots to the prestigious Jiuli Secret Realm now granted to them from all of the top 36 Joint Monasteries.
Lady Shui's clear-headed judgment deemed the 108th Monastery worthy of this honor.
While many of the leaders were taken aback by this decision, with some voicing objections, their protests were quickly quelled. They all knew the undeniable accomplishments of the 108th Monastery.
However, the matter was not settled yet.
In a final push for so-called [Fairness] and to prevent further [Dissatisfaction], a proposition was made by Sect Leader Shen Wei, who saw an opportunity for fairness. "Let us not reward the 108th Monastery without proving their worth. A competition, a trial, should be held. The top 36 sects will face the 108th Monastery and battle for the right to claim these resources."
The battle would determine the true worth of the 108th Monastery, and a total of 36 Top Xuantian Monasteries would face off, with the victor claiming the rightful place.
All the sect leader went back to inform their disciples and start the training as well as preparations for the battle between 36 - Monasteries and the 108th – Xuantian Monastery.
