Chapter 41 - Once Again They Welcome Me

"I wanted to know if you could see my future power," I explained, my voice filled with anticipation.

"Ah, you want me to see your future to determine your power?" Vill clarified.

I nodded eagerly.

Everyone fell silent, their eyes fixed on Vill as she closed her eyes and entered a trance-like state.

After what felt like an eternity, Vill opened her eyes, a deep frown etched on her face. She looked at me, her expression a mixture of awe and apprehension.

"I can't see it," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Huh!?" The exclamation echoed through the van, everyone's eyes wide with disbelief.

Dove stared at Vill, her voice tinged with skepticism. "What do you mean you can't see it?"

"I can't see anything, His future... it's completely obscured."

Whoosh!

Just then, the Harbinger's face appeared upside down, peering through the roof of the van. "That's because I'm blocking your view of the future," it announced, its voice a low rumble that vibrated through the vehicle.

Everyone gasped, startled by the sudden appearance and the chilling words. Even Aca, who was driving, swerved slightly, her hands tightening on the steering wheel.

"Xian's Harbinger, what do you mean?"

"Don't even dare to try and see the future without my consent," the Harbinger growled, its voice filled with menace.

"But Xian wants—" Vill began, but was quickly interrupted.

"Let him discover the power he will wield on his own," the Harbinger interjected, its voice echoing ominously through the van. "Don't spoil the surprise."

"Okay, okay, geez..." Vill sighed, a hint of frustration in her voice.

The Harbinger vanished, leaving a lingering chill in the air.

I was taken aback by the Harbinger's abruptness.

That was harsh.

I thought, feeling a pang of sympathy for Vill.

"Sorry about that," I apologized, glancing at Vill.

She chuckled and shook her head. "Don't worry about it," she said. "My Harbinger is far more critical than yours."

Speaking of Harbingers, I realized that while I could see mine, I couldn't see anyone else's.

"Where are your Harbingers?" I blurted out, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Silence filled the van as everyone exchanged glances.

"They reside in our inner realms," Dove finally answered, her voice barely a whisper.

Just as I was about to ask more, the van came to a sudden stop in front of a massive warehouse. Its imposing structure cast an ominous shadow in the twilight, the only sound the gentle hum of the engine as it cooled down.

We piled out of the van, the warehouse looming before us like a silent giant. The only sound was the chirping of crickets and the distant rumble of traffic.

"Ready?" Aca asked, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.

I nodded, my heart pounding with anticipation. This was my first time visiting the Unveiled's secret workshop, and I was eager to see what lay within.

Aca led the way, her footsteps echoing in the cavernous space as she unlocked the massive metal door. It creaked open, revealing a dimly lit interior filled with an eclectic assortment of tools, machinery, and strange, otherworldly artifacts.

The air was thick with the scent of oil, metal, and something else, something I couldn't quite identify. It was a primal, almost animalistic scent that sent a shiver down my spine.

"Welcome to our playground," Yolan announced, her voice echoing through the vast space.

My eyes widened as I took in the scene before me.

Yolan took charge, leading us deeper into the warehouse without a word. We followed her through a maze of aisles, passing by workers who were busy examining raw materials, assembling intricate contraptions, and carefully packing finished products.

"This is amazing..." I whispered, my eyes wide with wonder.

Dove, who was walking beside me, smiled. "Thanks, We've all worked hard to build this."

Crieeeak!

The sound of a heavy door opening echoed through the warehouse. I turned to see Yolan standing in the doorway, a wide grin on her face.

"Come on, Xian! We're ready for you!"

I followed her, my heart pounding with anticipation. We passed through the doorway, which bore a sign that read "Staff Room: Do Not Enter!" It seemed this was their private workspace.

The room was surprisingly spacious, filled with a large workbench, a massive 3D printer, stacks of raw materials, and various tools and equipment.

Everyone gathered around the workbench as Yolan unrolled a blueprint. She turned to me, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"So, Xian, what color do you want your bike?" she asked.

I thought for a moment, then said, "...black. That would be cool."

Yolan nodded approvingly. "A mysterious vibe, huh? How about we make it... matte black?"

"Sounds good to me," I replied, unable to contain my excitement.

The warehouse transformed into a whirlwind of activity.

Yolan, with her energy, took charge of the project, her eyes glowing with a focused intensity as she manipulated various materials.

"Make it sleek, but powerful!" she exclaimed, her hands moving with lightning speed as she molded metal and plastic into intricate shapes. "And don't forget the custom exhaust system! It has to sound as good as it looks."

I watched in amazement as she effortlessly transformed raw materials into recognizable motorcycle parts. With a flick of her wrist, a shapeless lump of metal became a gleaming engine block. A wave of her hand, and a sheet of carbon fiber morphed into a sleek fairing.

She even used her powers to create a makeshift laser cutter, slicing through metal with precision and speed that defied human capability. Sparks flew as she worked, the air filling with the scent of burnt metal and ozone.

The rest of the Unveiled girls pitched in, their individual powers complementing Yolan's expertise.

Irune infused the metal components with her healing energy, strengthening them and making them more durable. Vill, with her precognitive abilities, guided Yolan's movements, ensuring that every piece fit perfectly.

Even Aca, with her ability to communicate with animals, seemed to be calming the spirits of the machines, ensuring their smooth operation.

I stood back, mesmerized by the spectacle before me. It was like watching a symphony of creation, a dance of magic and technology. I had never seen anything like it before, and it filled me with a sense of awe and wonder.

Dove noticed my expression of awe and chuckled softly. "Welcome to the family, Xian, once again."

I returned her smile, a sense of belonging washing over me. "Right, This is one extraordinary family."
