Chapter 5 - The rebellion of the Less

The room of the council was immersed in a deadly silence, not a single noise could be heard, anyone could notice how the majority of the Eternals present were sweating and had a fearfull look on their faces.

A few hours passed from the arrive of the last wounded Eternal and all of the council was waiting for Mare to bring results about his strange condition.

The door opened wide and Mare came inside the room, after sitting on one of the free chair she began talking "Attention please ! What I'm about to say is of the greatest importance.

The wounded Eternal seem to have problem regenerating his wounds, other than that he seem to be in a weakened state that can be traced back to the last moments of a dying Less ".

Many gasps could be heard from every member of the council.

She continued " He said that around ten Less ambushed him trying to kill him."

While talking Coatl interrupted her exclaiming " Even if ten Less attacked one Eternal, his possibilities of losing are par on zero, in order to fight a fair fight the Less would have to be around ten thousands."

She answered " Coatl if you can not interrupt me I would be grateful, now if you leave me explain, the Eternal said that they had strenght on par with ours and each of them had strange grey weapons that could stop our regeneration."

"After I thinking for a while I think I understood of what material those weapons could be made of, and sadly I think that any of us has already an idea of it" while saying this Mare touched the crystalline orb that stood in the center of her chest, " I think they are using our nucleos in order to make their weapons ".

Each one of the members of the council had an angry face on, their nucleos that with time began emerging from their chest was by many seen as a religious simbol, but also as a symbol of seniority, since the bigger the crystal was, the older the Eternal was.

" I sent some spies into the supposed enemy land in order to find more information, now all we have left is to stay safe and wait, wait and hope" said Mare with a bit uncomfortable face.

After saying this the end of the world erupted from the council room, every Eternal had his opinion, ideas even if most of them wanted only to go to war against the Less and kill them all for this offence.

Saor looking at the situation decided that it was better to go back at his observatory and get ready for a possible attack.

____

Just as he returned at the observatory another letter arrived, thus time it was different, it said "To you all Eternals, we the United Kingdom Alliance decided that for the safety of Less and in order to bring freedom to all we declare was to all the kingdoms governed by Eternals. Signed by Sandi's The New Emperor."

What followed after was going to be remembered as the history worst was, the army of Less were many each guided by one human general equipped with a weapon made of Eternium ( the name gave to the crystalline material that made Eternals orbs).

Even if having one such weapon gave Less powers that could be revailed to only others Eternals they also came with a great catch, since the longer one used the weapon the longer they would lose themself, some of the few kidnapped generals said that each time they used a weapon they could hear screams coming directly from them.

After twenty years of war, the situation took a stalemate, around each side had fifty Eternals left or fifty eternium weapon left.

The few foolish Eternals to die were the ones that hated the Less and that drove themself right into the enemy army thinking themself superior.

All of the kingdom that were controlled by the army of Less became know as the Empire of Yirms, a place where the dominant species was the Less.

As I looked at how the world evolved I felt deep down on my souls a growing sense of excitement, moving my gaze to the far north-east I saw a great city with enormous walls and a huge observatory that looked into the sky.

There in the center of the observatory a lone man stood firm with his gaze fixated on the black sky.
