It had been two days since Asher ran into Lily at the airport. Two days since he walked away from her without saying a word. Two days since he turned his back to her when she wasn't looking.
Hard as he tried, Asher couldn't shake the curiosity that stemmed from just seeing her, her friend by her side and a small luggage that he, surprisingly, was able to recognize as hers. He knew she was going somewhere. He itched to know where.
In the entire trip back to his home from the airport, Asher thought about the countless reasons she could be embarking on a trip for. He wondered if she was sick, if she just wanted to leave her school environment, or worse if there was an emergency with her family.
When he got home, had his dinner and got into the shower another thought came into his head as the water droplets slid down his back. A thought that sounded a lot scarier than having an emergency at home. The idea of her going to visit someone else.
