"He's conscious."
"How is that possible?" Luck's voice was laced with a mix of surprise and curiosity.
"We'll ask him that later," Haven replied, its angelic voice calm and soothing.
"Huh?! Who are you guys?" Iguro stood up in shock, his eyes widening as he gazed beneath his feet. The calm waters rippled faintly with his movements, creating a mesmerizing pattern of light and shadow.
"The Chaos Brothers," a devil and an angel spoke in unison, their voices blending in perfect harmony.
The devil towered over Iguro, its imposing figure radiating malevolence. Fiery red skin and eerie, otherworldly eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, illuminating the dark surroundings. Sharp horns protruded from its forehead, while a wicked grin revealed razor-sharp teeth. Dark, tattered wings stretched out like a macabre cloak, casting a twisted shadow on the ground.
In stark contrast, the angel shone radiant, its ethereal form glowing with soft light. Pearlescent skin and gentle eyes seemed to embody loving kindness, filling the air with an aura of peace. Delicate wings sprouted from its back, their soft rustle soothing. A halo of light encircled its head, casting a warm glow.
"Dark and Haven. Chaos Brothers," the angel said softly, its voice a gentle breeze.
A mage stood tall, draped in a star-patterned robe that shimmered in the dim light. Its eyes burned with otherworldly intensity, like bright stars in the vast expanse of space. As it raised its hands, the air rippled and distorted, as if reality itself was bending to its will.
"Space King, or just Luck," the mage said, its voice laced with a hint of cosmic power.
Iguro felt genuine fear facing Luck, whose aura radiated vastness. Starry eyes scanned him with a confused gaze, searching for answers.
An ethereal figure floated before him, it's face a vague mix of confusion.
"My name? It has been lost in time, but you can call me Lucid," Luck replied, its voice echoing through eternity.
Lucid floated before him, its diaphanous form shifting like a living mist. The air vibrated with otherworldly energy, as if the fabric of reality was being gently distorted.
AU: I'll use the pronoun 'his' for the bunch now, since they're all in Iguro's body.
"Who are you? And how are you conscious?" Luck asked, its voice filled with curiosity. "Tamashi brought your soul here, and it was practically a flickering flame about to be snuffed."
"His consciousness is not fully restored yet," Haven said, its angelic voice filled with concern.
Iguro suddenly blanked out, his eyes dimming. His mind was a jumble of confusion and fear.
"I hope he'll be able to bear the burden this time," Lucid softly sighed, its ethereal voice barely audible.
________
"Whoa! Who are you guys?!" Iguro jumped in fear, his heart racing.
"Ugh...." Dark palmed its face irritably, its devilish features twisted in annoyance.
"There's no time for explanations. Listen," Luck said hurriedly, its voice laced with urgency.
Iguro looked confused, his mind struggling to comprehend.
"You–"
"No, Luck." Haven stopped Luck from speaking, its angelic voice firm.
Iguro stood motionless, his dim eyes fighting the boundaries of consciousness.
"His soul is too weak to perceive anything," Haven explained, its voice calm and soothing. "Tamashi programmed his soul to control the main body alone, like a cog in the wheel."
"So the more we try to talk to him, the farther his soul goes?" Luck stroked its chin, its starry eyes narrowing.
"According to Tamashi, Iguro's soul was depleted when he found the lad, making it easy for the Soul Demon to manipulate his spirit."
"So how do we restore his sentience?" Dark asked miserably, its devilish features twisted in despair.
"I have a theory," Lucid said, its ethereal voice filled with hope.
They awaited its explanation in silence, their eyes fixed on Lucid.
"Normally, his soul should have no means of regenerating. However, his eyes keep lighting up in awareness, giving us a slimmer of hope."
Iguro battled against lucidity and unconsciousness, feeling himself slipping away.
A strong urge arose within him, and his eyes shone brightly.
"He's unconsciously controlling the Dragon Soul Chains!" Luck shouted.
"He's losing himself!" Lucid shouted in panic.
"But he's not talking or doing anything! How is he still losing soul energy?" Dark asked.
"Tamashi is programming him," Luck said grimly.
