Although the organization was established and its structure seemed well-organized, Haruki became even busier.
There were too many things he needed to oversee.
Due to the lack of systematic modern education, his subordinates, though numerous, might not even be as competent as high school students.
For example, in the finance department, the accounting methods were extremely outdated.
Haruki felt dizzy just looking at it.
He had to borrow a computer from the research institute, create spreadsheets, and simplify the complex accounts clearly and straightforwardly.
The so-called battle-hardened elites transferred from the Oshima Trading Company were stunned.
They couldn't understand such a simple method, and it had never occurred to them before.
Unfortunately, Haruki wasn't an accountant in his previous life, so he could only teach some basic thinking.
Even so, the elites present felt as if a new world had opened up to them, and they hung their heads in shame.
Before Haruki's demonstration, they had ridiculed him internally for being an amateur giving random commands.
As for the wedding, though they said they needed help, they didn't actually require much from them. With ample time, they let them prioritize their department's issues.
After sorting out the finance department, Haruki and Tsunade left the newly purchased office building.
"Tsunade,"
Tsunade held Haruki's warm hand as they walked. After a while, she asked, "Is there anything you don't understand?"
Haruki laughed, "Of course, there is. For instance, your heart, I can't see through it."
"What are you saying?" Tsunade rolled her eyes at him, "You don't have the Byakugan. How can you see through the human body?"
"You're too serious." Haruki pointed to her heart, "I meant not in a biological sense."
Tsunade was slightly stunned and then realized what he meant, a smile involuntarily tugging at her lips.
"Then you need to work hard."
Haruki stroked his chin, pondering, "I think it's the clothes' fault."
"...!" Tsunade's forehead showed a black line, "You can't get ivory from a dog's mouth!"
Haruki suddenly leaned close to her.
"Wha... What are you doing?" Tsunade was startled.
For some reason, a phrase came to mind: "I might not be human, but you are truly a dog."
Though Tsunade didn't know this saying, her feelings were similar.
Her face turned red as she pinched Haruki's soft flesh at his waist.
"Hiss! Gentle!"
Haruki could only say that happiness comes with a price, even for dogs.
After enduring more than ten seconds of torment, he escaped from Tsunade's grip.
Men's waists indeed bear too much.
Haruki rubbed his waist, feeling a heartfelt pain.
They were heading to Uzumaki Mito's secret residence.
As the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, her importance was undeniable.
Especially after the loss of Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, the Nine-Tails was crucial in maintaining Konoha's status as the top ninja village.
It could not be lost.
In the original story, the Uchiha clan's rapid downfall after the Nine-Tails incident was because Konoha's leadership saw the terrifying potential of the Sharingan controlling the Nine-Tails.
They feared an incident.
Without Uchiha Itachi's defection, the Uchiha clan might have succeeded in their rebellion.
They still had a distance to the residence, so Haruki, bored, played with Tsunade's small hands.
Soft and very fleshy.
Probably due to being a ninja, there were no signs of aging, with taut and fair skin.
By the time they reached Uzumaki Mito's residence, Haruki had touched both hands thoroughly.
"Are you a pervert?"
Tsunade pulled her hands back, with a faint blush visible on her delicate skin.
"Of course not."
Haruki shook his head solemnly, "I just like you, and your hands are part of you. It's normal to like them, right?"
"Nonsense!" Tsunade found his refined yet beastly demeanor amusing, "Luckily, you're in my hands; otherwise, you'd harm many girls."
"Eh?" Haruki appraised her and praised, "That was a good line."
"Shameless." Tsunade couldn't help but pinch his face, "We're about to meet Grandmother. Behave seriously."
"Got it, got it." Haruki coughed, restraining his smile, already sensing the omnipresent ANBU around.
They were deployed by the Hokage to protect Uzumaki Mito.
In Haruki's view, calling it protection was more like calling them human alarm systems.
Though Uzumaki Mito was quite elderly, as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, she was arguably Konoha's top combat force.
If anyone broke through here, the ANBU nearby would just be cannon fodder.
"Grandmother."
Tsunade knocked on the door, and after receiving a response, entered.
Haruki saw Uzumaki Mito sitting at the table.
Wearing a white kimono, with the signature red hair of the Uzumaki clan tied in twin buns, and a purple diamond mark on her forehead, the same Yin Seal as Tsunade.
Despite her age, she was energetic, not resembling a person on their deathbed at all.
In her arms was a familiar small fox.
Not the Nine-Tails, but the desert fox Haruki had given to Kushina Uzumaki.
Seeing Tsunade, Uzumaki Mito put the fox down and beckoned her over.
Tsunade approached, half-kneeling, leaning on her legs.
As the first grandchild, both Hashirama Senju and Uzumaki Mito doted on her immensely.
"Little Tsunade, what brings you here today?"
Uzumaki Mito smiled, stroking her golden hair.
"There's good news."
Tsunade suddenly became shy, feeling embarrassed about discussing her marriage.
"That's rare."
Uzumaki Mito noticed her demeanor, glanced at Haruki, and asked, "Are you two finally getting married?"
"Eh? Grandmother, how did you..."
"How did I guess?"
Uzumaki Mito took over, unable to stop smiling.
"You're usually straightforward. Only when it involves Haruki do you act like a little girl, right?"
"Am I that obvious?" Tsunade laughed shyly, avoiding her gaze.
"That's wonderful. Little Tsunade has grown up." Uzumaki Mito patted her head sentimentally, "I'm glad I can live to see this."
"Grandmother, don't say such things." Tsunade huffed lightly.
"Alright, alright, I won't." Uzumaki Mito chuckled, "When are you getting married?"
"Not married yet, just engaged on August 2nd." Tsunade corrected.
"Engaged, huh."
Uzumaki Mito was a bit disappointed, "Back then, Hashirama and I... Ahem, engagement is good too."
Realizing the issue, she quickly corrected herself, then waved Haruki over. When he approached, she placed his hand on Tsunade's.
"Hashirama only has this one granddaughter left. You must protect her well."
"I will. I swear with my life."
Haruki responded earnestly.
He knew Uzumaki Mito, as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, had the ability to discern good and evil. Lies wouldn't work on her.
He just didn't know how much time she had left.
Since Konoha had brought in Kushina Uzumaki, it meant her life was nearing its end.
And the Nine-Tails, he had some ideas about it.
Mainly due to the Nine-Tails' vast chakra and its ability to generate chakra, essentially providing infinite chakra, which reminded him of a nuclear power plant.
Using the Nine-Tails for industrial purposes in the ninja world seemed like the proper use.
Using such a massive energy source as just a battery for a ninja was too wasteful.
When Minato split the Nine-Tails in half, it didn't affect the Jinchuriki's strength.
He planned to learn from Minato and extract half of the Nine-Tails.
However, this would be a challenging task.
