Haruki didn't know when he fell asleep.
He only remembered chatting with Tsunade.
Possibly due to the long journey, his body was a bit tired, and as they chatted, he lost his energy and drifted into sleep.
Half asleep, he felt something soft.
Like a pillow.
In his previous life, due to insomnia, he bought a pillow and liked holding it while sleeping as it gave him a sense of peace.
So Haruki skillfully held onto this fragrant, soft thing and gradually lost consciousness.
Too comfortable, he dreamt of playing basketball with Tsunade and getting hit by the ball several times.
But it didn't hurt much.
After all, in this life, he was a ninja with excellent physical condition.
When he woke up, he felt his head being pressed by a ball.
Was he still dreaming?
The just-awakened Haruki was a bit confused and instinctively pushed twice, feeling a very elastic bounce.
Huh?
He slightly lifted his head and saw Tsunade's sleeping face through the gap of the "ball."
Haruki finally understood what had happened. He and Tsunade had chatted too late last night and fell asleep directly.
But because the sofa was too narrow, Tsunade felt uncomfortable sleeping, so she sat up and rested her head on his.
"You're awake?"
Tsunade noticed the movement and immediately stretched, not having slept well as Haruki kept moving around at night.
Haruki only saw a bounce in front of him.
He immediately sat up, trying to suppress the morning reaction.
Though it's a normal morning reaction, he's a very decent person and wants to avoid misunderstandings.
"Ugh..."
Tsunade made a cute sound in the latter part of her stretch but didn't mind her lack of manners around Haruki.
She remembered something and looked at Haruki, asking, "Did you have a dream last night?"
"How do you know? Did I talk in my sleep?"
Haruki instinctively touched his forehead, recalling being hit several times by a basketball.
[First time playing basketball with girlfriend Tsunade, rewarded with "Slam Dunk" manga.]
Does dreaming about playing count?
Haruki was puzzled by the system's sudden announcement.
Tsunade saw his actions, blushing slightly, thinking he had done more than just talk in his sleep, with hands grabbing and mumbling about layups, shots, and three-pointers.
Nonsense!
Suppressing her embarrassment, she changed the subject, "Let's go wash up."
"Okay."
Haruki felt she was acting a bit strange but didn't ask further, assuming it was just waking-up grumpiness.
"Here."
Haruki squeezed toothpaste for Tsunade and handed it to her.
"Thanks."
Tsunade took a cup of water and started brushing her teeth, white foam filling her mouth.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Haruki paused his actions to ask.
"Anything simple is fine, no need for trouble. I want to visit the medical team early."
"Alright," Haruki thought for a moment, "Let's go with the simplest, bread and milk."
"Sure." Tsunade finished washing up and put down the cup and toothbrush.
"Okay." Haruki went to the kitchen, took out bread and milk from the fridge, warmed them a bit, and breakfast was done.
"I wonder how the folks in the medical team are doing?"
Tsunade took a sip of milk and picked up a slice of bread, "Nozomi and the others are too gentle; they might not be able to handle those mischievous kids."
"Don't worry." Haruki shook his fist, "You're Tsunade, don't hesitate to discipline them well."
Tsunade glared at him, "Do you see me as a violent maniac?"
"How does this have anything to do with me?" Haruki protested, "You can't be too lenient with mischievous kids, or it will cause trouble."
This was his experience from two lives.
Kids are cute, but some are too unruly and need timely education, or they become bigger problems as they grow.
Tsunade laughed at his expression, asking, "What are you doing today?"
"I'll go to the Hokage's office first." Haruki replied, biting a bread slice with cheese, enjoying the creamy taste.
"Why do you need to see Sensei?"
"I'm going to request Chunin exams for Minato and the others." Haruki explained.
Though the original Chunin exam was a joint event by several ninja villages, special situations required special arrangements.
With the Hokage's approval, they could be promoted to Chunin directly.
"Minato, Mikoto, and Kushina indeed have reached Chunin level." Tsunade nodded, "I don't know where you got the luck to find such talented students."
"Of course, I'm not the lucky type." Haruki pointed to his eyes, "These are eyes that can see the future."
"You think you're the Great Toad Sage?" Tsunade couldn't help but tease.
Haruki shrugged.
That long-lived toad in the Myoboku Mountain Sacred Place, claiming to be the Six Paths Sage's confidant, used a prophecy to trick Jiraiya into wandering for life.
If not for it, Jiraiya's life might have been different.
Seeing Jiraiya's death in the previous life had brought him many tears.
After breakfast, Tsunade habitually went to wash the dishes.
Haruki chatted with her a bit.
But with just two sets of dishes, it only took a few minutes.
Both changed clothes and headed to the street.
In the summer morning, the sun rose early. Haruki saw a few passersby and spread his hands.
Tsunade understood his gesture, pouted but still hugged him.
The two quietly enjoyed the beautiful morning.
After a while, Haruki pinched her cheek, saying, "You didn't want to hug, but you don't want to let go either."
"I did not!" Tsunade quickly let go, and with a puff of smoke, disappeared.
Haruki touched his nose, thinking she wasn't very straightforward.
---
At the Hokage's office.
Perhaps due to the early morning, he didn't wait long before seeing Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Haruki fanned the air, dispersing the smoke, "Lord Hokage, smoking frequently isn't good for your health. Tsunade said she wanted her future children to learn from you."
"Did she really say that?" Hiruzen Sarutobi's mood brightened, "I didn't expect that child to care about this old man."
"She always cared about you, just isn't good at expressing it." Haruki smiled.
Hiruzen wouldn't verify with Tsunade, so Haruki could say whatever he wanted to improve Tsunade's reputation, which might bring unexpected benefits.
"Falling in love really changes people." Hiruzen sighed, "Tsunade has grown up."
In the original story, none of his three students were easy to handle.
His favorite, Orochimaru, even betrayed and killed him.
"Lord Hokage, I came today to request Chunin exams for my three students."
"Minato, Mikoto, and Kushina." Hiruzen thought for a moment, "I understand their capabilities, they can be promoted without exams."
