Chereads / Naruto: My Wife is Tsunade / Chapter 54 - Chapter 54

Chapter 54 - Chapter 54

In Naruto, when it comes to poison, most people think of Hanzo of the Salamander's summon, the salamander. Strictly speaking, it belongs to biological poison.

Konoha's Aburame Torune's nano-sized poisonous insects also fall into this category.

Puppeteers and medical ninjas belong to traditional poisons; they are skilled in making and detoxifying poisons.

For example, Sasori of the Red Sand, Chiyo, and Tsunade.

"It's Chiyo," Tsunade said after a glance.

Minato Namikaze's hand trembled, and he quickly put down his chopsticks.

He had long heard of Chiyo's great reputation.

Everyone else also obediently stopped their actions.

Haruki laughed and turned to look outside the door, saying, "Granny Chiyo, since you're here, why be shy?"

With a creak, the door slowly opened.

The less-than-1.5-meter-tall Chiyo appeared in front of everyone.

She first curiously looked at the unfamiliar silver-haired girl beside Haruki. Hearing Tsunade mention her name surprised her, but soon her gaze landed on Haruki.

"It's been a while, Haruki. Your skills haven't dulled a bit; you saw the poison in the food at a glance. But I'm curious why you haven't neutralized it?"

Chiyo smiled faintly, "Is it because you can't do it and had to call me out?"

Haruki also smiled. He pointed his chopsticks at her, "Granny Chiyo, you're still as competitive as ever. Well, let me introduce you: my student, Sagiri Izumi."

His other hand gently touched Tsunade's silver hair.

Chiyo was slightly puzzled. Is this the time for introductions?

However, Haruki's next words made her furious.

"This poison doesn't need me to handle it; my student can deal with it."

"Really?"

Suppressing her anger, Chiyo looked at Tsunade.

She admitted the girl interested her somewhat but didn't believe she could detoxify her poison. In fact, she doubted even Haruki could detoxify it quickly.

Living for so long, she had that confidence.

"True or not, we'll see." Haruki shrugged, "Tsunade, it's up to you."

Tsunade's face tensed. If not for Chiyo's presence, she would have rolled her eyes at Haruki.

But with outsiders present, she wouldn't embarrass him.

Chiyo's face was stormy as she stared at Haruki, who exuded strong confidence, making her feel absurd.

Haruki leaned back in his wooden chair, quietly watching Tsunade work.

In Naruto, detoxification isn't as simple as imagined, merely using drugs or such, but rather using chakra.

As pale green bubbles rose from the food, Chiyo's expression became extremely ugly.

"Teacher, it's done."

Tsunade dispersed her chakra and calmly said.

Under the table, she lightly stepped on Haruki's foot to show her dissatisfaction.

Haruki, of course, wouldn't be outdone, rubbing her long legs a few times.

"Thank you."

Haruki maintained his expression, patted Tsunade's shoulder, and looked at the now-skeptical Chiyo.

He picked up his chopsticks and took a bite of meat.

"Mmm, it tastes good. Granny Chiyo, what do you think?"

Chiyo remained silent.

She hadn't expected this outcome.

But she wasn't someone who couldn't accept defeat.

"Seems you have a good student."

Chiyo took a deep look at Tsunade, asking, "Aren't you afraid to bring her to our Sand Village, that she might perish along the way?"

Haruki raised an eyebrow and directly said, "Granny Chiyo, no need to test me. I've made my purpose clear: I'm here to discuss business with you."

Chiyo waved her hand and snorted, "Since you won't tell me, you can explain to the Kazekage tomorrow."

"…"

Haruki opened his mouth, sighing at her departing figure. Why does no one believe the truth?

It all boils down to him being out of place.

In this ninja world, they don't value the economy; they prefer ninjutsu and bloodline limits.

"Ah!"

Haruki looked down at Tsunade's fair arm and her fingers digging into his thigh.

He quickly held her little hand.

"What are you doing?"

"Just messing around."

Tsunade rolled her beautiful big eyes.

But in her current form, the action made her look truly pure and cute.

Haruki pinched her delicate chin and said, "Before we came, we agreed you'd pose as my student."

"But didn't say to bully an old woman." Tsunade shook her head. She quite respected Chiyo, rare in matching her in poisons.

"It won't happen again."

Suppressing the urge to kiss her cheek, Haruki released her hand and turned to see the four others with expressions of "I didn't see anything," making him laugh.

"Alright, there's no poison now, let's eat. Then rest well, we'll see the Kazekage tomorrow."

The group immediately picked up their chopsticks.

It was Haruki's first time eating in Sand Village, and overall, it was passable.

After a full meal, Minato and the others went to their rooms.

Haruki, under Tsunade's glare, picked up her soft body and went upstairs.

"Where do you want to sleep?"

Tsunade casually pointed, "Put me down. I'm not really a little girl."

"No worries, you're not heavy."

Haruki thought, am I an idiot? How could I give up such a good opportunity?

Tsunade shook her head helplessly, letting him carry her.

But the road always has an end.

"Rest well," Haruki said.

He didn't push his luck. Though his girlfriend, he was quite restrained.

"Goodnight."

Tsunade thought, then jumped off the bed, returning to her original form, hugged him, and then pushed him out.

Haruki was momentarily stunned.

Before he realized it, he was in the hallway.

She's still a bit shy.

Looks like I need to step it up.

Haruki laughed and went to his room.

The next morning, after breakfast, the six of them, led by Rasa, went to the Kazekage's office.

Besides the Third Kazekage, Chiyo and advisor Ebizo were present.

"Haruki, long time no see."

The Third Kazekage greeted indifferently, showing no fondness.

That was normal.

If too friendly, Haruki might consider running.

"Lord Kazekage, you haven't changed since last time."

Haruki smiled warmly, extremely sincere.

The Third Kazekage's expression tightened. He had learned about Haruki's character but felt this sunny smile had deeper meaning.

He sat down.

After a moment, he suddenly smiled, "I'm curious why you came to Sand Village yourself? You might die here accidentally."

"Not necessarily."

Haruki patted Tsunade's tense shoulder, saying, "If you want the entire Sand Village to be buried with me, I can end it right now."

The office atmosphere froze.

Rotating sand gold, like a drill, charged at Haruki.
