Chapter 1 - Volantis Here We Come!

The year is 567 AGC.

Across the continent of Relisquae, from a far town in the Kingdom of Kroma two adventurers sit in a bar, and one of them is drunk, and the other is resting on their head.

A female human clad in a leather jacket with silver gauntlets and boots, with a bow strapped to her back, and in her belts with tons of daggers sheathed. The other who was on her head was a green slime, resting as they watched their surroundings.

Both of them were very close friends ever since they were children, the slime being born in an orgy at the famed Vormir Hot Springs, while the human was born in the mid class area of Kroma where she became a knight, and rose through the ranks. She became a commander, and even the right hand of the king, but due to her circumstances she was no longer one.

In this bar they await a dwarf bard they met on the way for information. To be specific they awaited information on Volantis the once Glorious, Golden, and Gods gracious kingdom of old, and whoever found it would meet the Princess in which they are granted one wish each. Yet after a whole two centuries after Volantis fell no one had ever come close, a few but never even reaching the entrance to where it once was.

The tavern was loud with your adventurers playing card games, others drinking to their hearts content, and couples making out to no end. While the two adventurers were just there silently waiting for their informant with nothing to do.

The slime named Sticky couldn't get drunk, and the human named Yuni didn't want to get drunk so she could fight later if needed.

Soon the tavern doors opened and entered their informant. A dwarf bard clad in leather robes with jewelry all around his body, with a shortsword strapped to their left hip.

He walked over to their table with a prideful grin as he called for a whole barrel of rum to the table.

"So, where should I start?" he asked as he spun a golden coin in his right hand.

Yuni looked at him annoyed as she pulled on his collar with a dagger to his throat.

"Where can we find Volantis?"

Shakily, the dwarf bard replied, "I don't know, but a town not so far from here has old information on Volantis."

Hearing this, Yuni tossed the dwarf aside before walking out the bar with Sticky on her head. They walked out of Kroma and into Sentris Woods where a shortcut to the small town of Vishkim was located.

The sounds around them was quite blissful and calming from the kind soft breeze of the winds down to the chirping of the birds, but they weren't alone, and within the forest were the crimson goblins from the Volcanic Road.

They snickered amongst themselves as they watched Yuni and Sticky from afar, one of them was carrying a bow which was their main scout.

Both Yuni and Sticky finally arrived at the Volcanic Road where they can follow down to the small of Vishkim, but as they were about to move down the Volcanic Road. The ground beneath them shook as a large humanoid mole rat that stood at 6'5 with a very muscular build and crimson flowing hair got out of the ground.

"Hello adventurers, it is I the great Aralia of Ratopia!" she greeted.

Yuni screamed out of disgust as she prepared both her daggers aiming them towards the mole rat.

Sticky pulled on Yuni's hair to stop her from accidentally killing probably what seemed to be an innocent creature.

"Don't worry, I mean no harm and I merely just wanted to travel with you." as she spoke it, the red goblin horde that followed them rushed out of the woods.

Yuni immediately dodged and threw two of her daggers at the goblins, as Sticky got off her head and created four arms to throw a whole boulder nearby at the horde killing most of them. The remaining goblins ran away in fear as the mole rat got closer towards them.

"So cool! Please let me join!" she gleefully asked.

Yuni in disgust shook her, but Sticky got back on her head and slapped her.

"Okay! Fine!" she begrudgingly agreed.

And so the two became a trio, and slowly but surely this trio will turn into a whole crew.

Somewhere in the dwarven kingdom, a man wearing a tattered black cloak with a pale mask walked through the streets with a small.lizard on his back.

"Soon, Volantis will be mine." he muttered underneath his breath as he stared at the Capital of the kingdom.

Back with the trio, they walked in Vishkim as they were met with a old woman holding on to a cane.

"Travelers, if you're looking for the chieftain it's best if you do it later. He's currently out picking herbs for the town's healer, and if you need a place to stay come follow me to the inn." as the old woman spoke the trio looked behind the old woman to see a large building that looked very old.

"Oh don't worry, the interior is better looking." she reassured.

Yuni nodded skeptically as she followed the old woman, behind her was Alaria who had Sticky on her head.

As they entered the old Inn, its rusty old odor filled the building, and there were cobwebs in all the corners, and the bar was completely empty. The old woman placed a key numbered 3 on Yuni's hand as she walked out of the building.

"Uhm is this how all human Inns look like?" Alaria asked, as Yuni simply replied with a stern "No."

As they entered their room they were met with the same horrible stench and two beds that were barely cleaned.

"I'd rather sleep on the floor, than this shit." as she spoke Sticky got on the bed as Alaria went towards the other and sat on it.

"It's wet." Alaria remarked.

Yuni disgusted just banged her head on the wall as she sat on the floor before speaking.

"Just for one day, hopefully tomorrow it'll be better."
