Chapter 97 - Friendships and changing times.

Bellatrix sat on the floor eating a meal of lamb chops as James and Ariel in the room. She stared at them in alarm coming to her feet and wiping her mouth with the side of her hand.

James waved her to her feet. "Bellatrix. Get up we have talk." He said.

Bellatrix frowned at the tone of his voice and noticed how Ariel was quietly watching her frowning. She came to her feet. "Will you find tell me what you are attempting to do with me. I will not be." She said.

"You will be silent and listen." Ariel said heatedly with a snarl in her voice.

Bellatrix frowned but closed her mouth. James sighed coming forward. "I have told time and time again. I do not answer questions from you. We are not equals and you would be to comprehend why I'm doing what I'm doing is the best for you and Dago. Your questions are meaningless to me. When you asked your father to help make that spell to come here did you not think he had some other motive."

Bellatrix frowned at him. She was silent. James nodded. "Good. Don't talk just listen. We are running out of time Bellatrix. I have an enemy coming at from all sides and other enemies in the background that have not even noticed me yet but they will soon enough. So I have to speed things along. Your father didn't send you here to find your mate. He sent you here to kill Dago."

James held up his hand. "Please don't talk. I need you to listen. The whole purpose of you being here is act as a spy for people that want to kill Dago and me as a side. I need you. Why do you think I was ready for you when you arrived here. I had been waiting for your arrival and I knew when you came what had been done to you. What I've been attempting to do is reverse the effects put on you by Cleo when she put you in that circle of cursed fire."

Bellatrix stared at him. She started to open her mouth but then she closed her mouth.

"That's the point. Your body was bathed in a curse. I've been attempting to reverse these effects slowly by you teaching mist magic to strengthen you're mind and push out the effects of the curse on your body. Do you understand why I don't answer questions from you. It is because your mind is a window for that witch learning about me and Dago. This being the case. I have speed along your training."

"Whatever you need to do. Do it." Bellatrix said.

James shook his head. "I'm not going to do anything. Your the one that's going to do it." He said and then held up a ball twisting purple blue mist above his hand. Lightning storms twisted in the mist.

"It's forbidden for were-kind to learn the magic of the wizards." Bellatrix said.

"I am not a wizard and this is not the magic of the wizards. This. Is the mist. You'll never be able to learn to become one who walks in the mist but you and I are magic-kind. It is the link we share that unites us as of a kind." James calmly. "Were-kind are are most dangerous and powerful when they are in full control other the beast and magic in their bodies. Dominance and control. Do understand this?" He asked her.

Bellatrix frowned but she nodded her head. "Yes. This is true. This what I was taught sense birth. I could never advance into my potential because I am two kinds of were kind." She said.

James shook his head. "No. This is a lie." He said.

Bellatrix glared at him. "My father told me this as did my pack." She said.

"They lied to you." James said calmly. "This is not what is holding you back." He said.

"You know nothing of were-kind or my life hu-man." Bellatrix snarled at him.

"Be quiet." Ariel said softly.

Instantly, Bellatrix went silent and shook at the command in her mother's voice. "He is lying to me." She said.

"He is the Prince of the Enchanters, The man of the mists you will address him as Highness." Ariel said calmly. "Open your senses. What is the truth?" She asked.

Ariel sniffed the air and she froze. She shook her head in denial. James nodded his head.

"Your father and mother came together to create a were-kind that would match both their strengths. They made you. You have battled against yourself. Not knowing a balance to existence in your duel nature. Fear and discipline are what are stopping you. I am of mist and elements. I accept what I am. You don't." James said.

Bellatrix stared at him. "You are were-kind?" She asked. "How is that possible? You are not a were-feline or were-wolf. What the hell are you?" She demanded.

James stared at her. "Are you ready to take control of your fear? Your running out of time. Dago can't wait forever for you to become strong enough to be with him. He's leaving soon. You have to decide now or lose everything you could have and be left behind with your fears and failures. What's your choice?" He asked holding up the ball of lightning mist storms.

"Why are you doing all this?! I need to know. Why do I matter to you. You don't even like me." Bellatrix said yelling at him.

"Your a monster Bellatrix. You killed my best friend once and almost killed him again. Your right I don't like you at all. But your mated to my bro. I have to look out for him. I answered your question because either you do what I want or I'll send you away that you won't be able to see Dago ever again. Just close your eyes and endure the storm." He said.

Bellatrix relaxed her body and stood tall before closing her eyes. "Do it!" She said.

James lifted the ball and blew it toward her body. The mist of storms covered her body completely. She screamed as the storms covered her. Dago came to stand beside James.

Dago frowned at him. "When did you know I was going to be leaving?" He asked.

James shrugged. "Before, Bellatrix came I could see you getting bored but when you were arguing with my dad I knew you were getting the itch to move on soon. The project is done now. All that's left is finish up some details about your library." He said.

Dago stared at him. "My library. I can't the library with me." He said.

James shook his head. "Not yet. It's what detail we have to figure out. Your not going to give up on your reach you put in for three damn years are?" He asked.

Dago stared at him. "I don't understand. James. The library was created by you. Wait. You set up a copy library already haven't you?" He said but stopped.

James nodded. "You, me and Mara created the first library. But, you put in the most work and advanced it with your mind and we need to expand the knowledge and research away from here. I already gave you the means to do it and if you want to help your girl gain more control then you need to find other people like her and expand were-kind knowledge and research on." He said.

Dago smiled. "All apart of your plans or something you made up on the fly." He said.

James shook his head. "Your my friend. You've worked here for free for three years. I'm not giving you anything you didn't already earn on your own bro. I just hope you'll visit." He said.

Dago stared at James and then looked toward Bellatrix when he finally noticed that the screams had died down. James held him back though shaking his head.

"Give her some time. When she's done then the mist will go away." James said and then he looked at Ariel. "Would you be interesting in learning how to use a peacemaker?" He said.

Ariel stared at him but then smiled. "Sure." She said and took a hold of his shoulder.

They went into apparition and stood in an outdoor gun range. He smiled as Ariel looked around in confusion and then watched two female were-felines of her pride shooting peace makers down the gun range.

Wild aggressive flames fired from the peacemakers and the females laughed. James put on earphones and handed some over to Ariel. "So. What ones do you want to try out first?" He said waving a hand and two peacemakers appeared on a shelf in front of them.

Ariel frowned. "Is it allowed for you to allow us to use them?" She asked in confusion.

James shrugged. "Peacemakers are viewed the same as wands. They work differently and are totally unlike wands or staff. You can use your were-magic to channel the energy into the rounds."

James took up his peacemaker in hand. He set his aim at a target a hundred yards down a gun range. He fired and explosion of fire and ice beam of energy went off at the end his peacemaker launching out from his weapon and destroying the target ahead.

Angus and Nick appeared beside him. They started to leave but Nick held up hand. "Please. Don't leave. We're only here to talk with his Highness for short moment." He said.

Ariel and the others seemed to relax. James frowned at Nick. "Did you get them?" He asked Nick.

Nick grimaced. "We got Barney the others are in the wind. Max Hellion burned off Axe's legs and took off and killed one our men. We can't find him. None of us can apparition to him. It's like he's masked in a darkness of mist." He said.

James stared at him. "When are Axe's legs going to grow back?" He asked.

Angus shook his head. "We don't know. It might take a month or never. Hellion. used some type of cursed fire spell that was a modified spell of his own creation." He said.

Nick stared at him. "We're going to need you to find Hellion. He's to dangerous. If we take him out then eliminate her top general in her shadow kingdom." He said before handing over a picture of Max Hellion to James.

Ariel put a hand on James shoulder. "Your Highness. I don't think this is a good idea." She said.

Nick held up his hand. "I'm not asking his Highness to attempt to reach out and hunt him down. I just need him to give us a location." He said.

James turned his gaze away from them as he looked off into the distance. His eyes narrowed around as he lost focus on everything around him and what was happening. He focused on image of Hellion in his mind.

The miles of land seemed to race away from him as he focused and focused until he hit wall of darkness. "Nothing but darkness. But I can still feel in the darkness. He's somewhere in the east." James said and frowned.

"East?!" Angus said. "How far east is that?" He asked.

James glared at the darkness as he heard smoking like a large hammer striking against a metal door. He knew this place. "Dad. He's trying to break into the lost temple." He said.

"James don't!" Angus said.

James went into an apparition. He appeared behind Max Hellion suddenly. James tried to draw his peacemaker but he was frozen in place by some type of spell. Hellion suddenly turned and he started strangling James with both hands.

"AHH!" Hellion screamed as something ripped into his back.

James dropped to the ground and was quickly dragged back away from a fight between Hellion, a wizard against Angus and Ariel. He watched and then he was suddenly back on the ranch.

A sword came at him. James froze. The sword was beat away away by a golden jeweled sword. James stared up at Dago as he started fencing with a gold sword in one hand and his wand in the other hand.

James started to get up but fell back down as a wave of dizziness fell over him. A magical shield appeared around him. He shook his head wondering what was wrong until Mara appeared next to him and quickly forced a cup of liquad down his throat. It burned but he also noticed that feeling in his mind clearing from a fog clear.

He looked around to see Bellatrix fighting along side Dago several wizards and sky dark from storms. He shook his head. "Damn bitch." He said. He tried to call for his power but found he was to tired. "Shit. I'm going to be down for several hours now." He said realizing he had over extended himself.

Mara hugged him. "Don't do anything just rest. We'll be find until then." She said.
