Ada's body shot forward, there was only one goal: avenging her lifelong friend. There were no buts or ifs in its animalistic mind, just that one thought─revenge.
Carrying Gologobo's spear in its mouth, her attack did not go unnoticed. However, Moros simply dodged to the side, looking at the wolf with doubt in his eyes.
The spear rammed into the ground, the wolf's head tilted to the side. Its eyes were just focused on Moros, not moving away once from him.
Yet, the wolf did not stop its attack, biting down fiercely onto the crackling spear it rotated around it. With its claws on its hind legs another attack was launched at Moros, which missed just barely.
A hasty step back sufficed to be out of harm's way, even if Moros could sense the swift vibration of the claws in the air as they just passed his face inches away.
The wolf spun around the spear for a full rotation before pulling the weapon out and resuming its wave of attack.
Ada got faster.
The memories of its only friend─one by one, they appeared in Ada's head. Fueling her anger, a bitter hatred that times like these could never be repeated.
The spear responded, its electricity surging even stronger, sparks flying through the air, setting the grass it passed by aflame.
Sharp claws tore through the air, as they aimed at the figure of Moros, who had no choice but to dodge every attack that came towards him.
Ada began to draw blood, in her onslaught of swipes a few of them managed to land on Moros body. Shallow the effect at best, scratches and slight red cuts appeared on his body.
Yet, Moros did not smile, a sense of danger accompanied each and every attack. Causing him to drop the act of not caring and focussing fully on the battle ahead.
He saw no window to counterattack as the wolf seemed to have been attacking without a care, without a pause even. It just attacked and if it had to give a leg than it would gladly take wounds.
A deal that Moros was not willing to take.
As much as he wanted to trade wounds here, a wolf with a spear as a weapon was too hard to predict. One wrong trade and he would do his best Gologobo impression on the floor.
Of course, an outcome like that was not that desirable to Moros. So, he preferred to learn its attack pattern first.
Yet, Ada's rage did not lessen; it only grew in its intensity. The electricity of her weapon, it joined her body, her fur growing streaks of blue that emitted the all too familiar crackling sensation of the lightning force.
It howled to the sky once more, the lust for blood clouding its senses, appearing almost tangible. A sensation, which prompted Moros' hair to stand on end…
Danger, pure danger! That was the only feeling the man in debt felt currently.
The feeling was proven right as the wolf shot forward at a speed, barely visible to Moros' eyes. A swift attack with the spear drew blood on his torso yet again, a rotation plus a claw strike aimed at the throat, merely scratched the chin after Moros threw his head back in desperation.
Its wave of attacks did not stop, more and more wounds piled up as Moros tried to distinguish a pattern.
Sadly, Moros had to admit he was never the type to use his brain for such purposes, aside from making money.
He was more the throw punches and ask questions later type of person.
Another claw strike came at Moros, this time he moved in, blocking the swipe with his shoulders. A wound was exchanged with a heavy punch, onto its teeth loosening the grip on the spear.
Injured Ada jumped back, growling at Moros.
Madness filled its eyes, and the wolf threw the spear into the air, letting it fall right onto its body. With a pained yelping, it flashed its teeth towards the murderer.
Ada's entire body began to be enveloped by electricity all around, charring her skin, blackening her fur. Yet, she did not care about the injuries that piled up on her body.
It wanted Moros dead.
The fire from the battle had spread, causing grass and trees alike to burn brightly. Mandy's unmoving body lay in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by fire that was coming closer and closer.
The wolf roared to the sky and the spear accepted the sacrifice.
Strikes of lightning emerged from the sky and struck the surroundings at random. The wolf looked at Moros and shot forward again, its leg stamping on the fire without any care.
Moros ran to the side to avoid implicating Mandy.
He suddenly did not develop feelings for her nor did he learn the value of human life. No, Moros simply needed a way back and the naked lady there was the only ticket he had to return to human civilization again.
The wolf did not care about his plans and simply stormed at him. It launched at him, in full sprint and full force ahead.
Moros ducked beneath the claw strike, its attack felling the tree it landed on in one quick attack. The stump of the tree fell backwards and caused a loud sound to reverberate through the vicinity.
Another goblin chose to approach after hearing the loud noise, its life was ended as Moros grabbed it to block another wave of Ada's rush of attacks.
The fleshy shield did not last long, soon it was torn apart. The fleshy bits lay strewn around, after all, it was no Gologobo, just a random goblin.
A dead random goblin, Moros would have liked to add, but the wolf did not let him have any time to breathe. It was rather busy setting everything ablaze and attempting to tear Moros apart.
Wherever the fight led them, destruction and damage followed.
Ada's breath grew heavier as the pace of its attacks grew faster yet again.
Its body blitzed towards Moros, paws facing up right ramming into the left and right shoulder blades of its nemesis. Moros was violently pressed into the ground, paws causing the flesh to sizzle.
Teeth glistened in the sea of flames, before the mouth of the wolf shot forward. The aim was Moros' throat, The mouth opened, ready to sink fangs deep into the throat of the pinned-down man in debt.
The head speeded down and made contact, the teeth sinking into the soft flesh, blood splat around as a response.
Moros' breath grew heavy, just in time he had managed to lift his left arm to prevent the teeth from ending his life on the spot. Sacrificing one arm was necessary to prevent his throat from turning into a blood fountain.
Ada's saliva trickled down on his face, its bloodlust not stopping in the slightest. The burn on his arm caused Moros to curse, giving the lovely wolf companion many not-so-nice comments and that may or may not have rhymed with witch.
Moros used his right leg and kicked the front legs of Ada to ensure that he would be able to survive this fight.
The kick landed, its heavy impact causing the wolf to jump back and limp, the strain placed on the front legs proving to be the handicap Moros needed to get some time to recuperate.
Pushing his tired and injured ridden body up Moros eyed the wolf again.
He did not understand why it was going so far, for a goblin rider that looked like all the other goblins he had met.
Not losing your mind over a milf could not have been the only criteria to seek revenge for, right?
The doggie over here kept on growling at him, as if he had done something wrong. Killing Gologobo was pure self-defence since a face like that would attack him every time he closed his eyes.
Don't speak ill of dead people applied only to people after all. Nobody told Moros that he could not shit-talk the goblin, whose brain he had turned into mush.
Ada looked at Moros and it made a decision: it would cost its life, but Gologobo's wish to not die alone here today should be fulfilled.
No howl, no roar of anger, it simply shot forward again, ignoring all the pain of its entire body.
Lightning struck in response to its wish. Drowning the scenery in a tide of omnipresent blue, electricity soared everywhere, felling trees to Moros left and right─blocking his path of escape.
Ada launched forward, a swipe to the left, an attack to the right. Moros blocked, by grabbing both paws with oth with his hands, his face grimacing under the pain and effort.
Ada looked happy, Moros was concerned.
With ferocity, it sank its teeth into the right shoulder of Moros, not letting go. The teenager tried to throw it off, by shaking and bashing his head into it, but that did not work.
Suddenly the spear came out of its body, shooting through, drawing a long, bloody gash over the face of Moros. Sailing through the air, it landed in a tree, where it remained stuck.
Ada's body fell to the floor, panting and whimpering slowly. The last attack of it had missed by an inch. Its eyes grew misty as the memories resurfaced once again.
This time around there was no one to be mad at, there was just Gologobo and Ada.
Moros stood there still, frozen in shock. He had not realised that she had used her tail to grab the spear again and pierce itself with it, to obscure the attack until it was far too late…he saw death in the eye and for the first time he had no reply.
Slowly, Ada crawled on the floor. Time ticked down to its death and yet did Ada push itself to its very last moments. Inching forward to its dearest friend.
Finally, it arrived at the headless remains of Gologobo…with its last legs it crawled atop its rider's chest and curled up into a ball, its snout softly placed on top of Gologobo's chest.
Just like always, one final time. With one low breath, Ada closed its eyes for the last time.
Ada and Gologobo.
Friends in life.
Friends in death.
