Noticing Hirito's behavior, Shinichi glanced at him.

"What's wrong?"

Hirito said softly, "It's nothing, it's just my first time leaving the village. I've only ever read about the outside world in books. I wonder if it's the same as it's described?"

Shinichi teased, "I thought you were reluctant to leave home."

Hirito ignored him and walked a few steps ahead, keeping pace with the group.

Along the way, Minato and Nonō were fascinated by everything they saw, constantly looking around with curiosity.

Hirito rolled his eyes, glanced at the surroundings, and then paid no more attention. They were just trees. While the scenery was nice, it didn't compare to the magnificent landscapes he remembered from his past life. Even though he had seen them in various documentaries before, they still felt familiar.

"Mr. Takeuchi, with your business being so successful, you must have traveled to many places, right?" Hirito asked, starting a casual conversation.

"No, no, Hirito, you're flattering me," Takeuchi Ryo replied, laughing. "But I have seen a few places. Compared to Konoha, though, Harajuku Street is quite different..."

Hirito chatted casually with Takeuchi, surprising Shinichi. A 9-year-old child with such talent in ninjutsu, able to handle himself so smoothly in conversation—there was no sign of the inexperience typical of kids his age.

Minato and Nonō soon lost interest in the scenery and turned their attention to the conversation between Hirito and Takeuchi Ryo. They also occasionally glanced at the sealed scroll carried by the attendant.

While Takeuchi did most of the talking, Hirito would occasionally ask a question. They discussed local customs, business, food, and other daily matters, giving Hirito a deeper understanding of the world beyond Konoha.

"If you want prosperity, you must first build roads—that's a great saying," Takeuchi said. He appreciated Hirito's insights and seriously considered some of his ideas, despite Hirito's young age.

"If the cost of transportation were lower, I'd definitely make more trips! But building roads costs a lot of money, especially if you want to connect all the villages and towns."

Hirito had noticed that the roads they walked were little more than dirt and gravel paths, likely formed after years of use. It brought to mind the dirt streets of Konoha, which, though more compact and smooth, were still just dirt.

"Shinichi-sensei, is there any Earth Style ninjutsu that could harden dirt roads into something like stone slabs?" Hirito asked. "I remember techniques that can turn soil into liquid—shouldn't there be a way to make it solid like stone too?"

Hirito was hoping for something akin to cement, but he knew that in this world, chakra and ninjutsu offered many possibilities that didn't exist in his previous life.

Shinichi considered the question. "I haven't heard of anything like that in Konoha. But perhaps in Iwagakure, the Village Hidden in the Stones—they're known for their mastery of Earth Style techniques."

Nonō, curious, asked, "Shinichi-sensei, who is the most powerful Earth Style user in Konoha?"

Shinichi responded with respect, "That would be the Third Hokage. He's not only a master of Earth Style but all five chakra natures. That's why he's called the 'Professor of Ninjutsu.' He's mastered every kind of ninjutsu."

Hirito filed this information away, his mind racing with ideas. While the development of such techniques would certainly aid commerce and improve infrastructure, he knew it wasn't feasible right now. His status, influence, and strength were still too limited, and with war looming, such matters wouldn't be a priority. More importantly, better roads could even shift the balance of power between nations during times of conflict.

After a day of travel, the group stopped to rest. Hirito and his teammates worked in pairs, taking turns keeping watch. Thankfully, there were no signs of enemies nearby.

As Shinichi had said, if Konoha's surroundings were no longer safe, it would mean the village had seriously declined.

Despite the uneventful day, it wasn't without gain. Shinichi took the opportunity to instruct the team on techniques such as maintaining breathing rhythms while traveling, staying alert to surroundings, and identifying good locations for setting traps. The knowledge he shared far exceeded what they had learned at the academy.

Both Minato and Nonō were busy taking notes, but Hirito didn't need to. He could rely on his [deduction system], which worked like an intelligent database that stored all the knowledge he had gained.

The night passed without incident.

The next day, the weather was even better, with clear skies and a gentle breeze. The white river rocks glistened under the sun, and the soft grass along the stream remained still. Willow trees drooped over the water, their branches swaying in the light wind. Birds perched in the trees, casting delicate shadows on the ground below.

Hirito suddenly remembered something. "Shinichi-sensei, wait a moment."

He moved quickly, leaping ahead about 20 kilometers. Drawing a kunai, he cut a line across his palm, and then began forming seals.

"dog, pig…"

Shinichi watched closely, narrowing his eyes. "Blood Pact Summoning?"

"Eagle, crow!" Hirito completed the final seals and slapped his hand to the ground.

A wave of chakra spread out, forming a circular talisman array that radiated outward.

"Ninja, Summoning Technique!"

With a loud bang, a cloud of white smoke erupted, revealing a stunning blue bird.

"Wow! What a beautiful bird!" Nonō exclaimed.

"Thank you, you're quite lovely yourself," the blue bird replied, its voice clear as bells.

Nonō, surprised, took a step back. "The bird... talks?"

Minato, Takeuchi, and the others were equally astonished, some even wary.

Hirito smiled. "Don't worry. This is my summoning beast, Bluebird." He stroked its feathers, and the bird lowered its head obediently, its green eyes shimmering with calm.

"Summoning beast?!"
