In the CBS cafeteria, Victoria responds through clenched teeth, "That's not funny at all." If it weren't for the setting, she would love to smash her meal tray over Sebastian Vanderbilt's face for his audacious request.
"I apologize if my eagerness has made my words seem impudent," Sebastian explains with a smile. "You see, KG Studio has designed a new product, and we need a celebrity with beautiful hands and feet for endorsement."
He goes on, beaming, "Victoria, it's quite a coincidence. I've been searching for days, and then, just now, I was drawn to your beautiful hands. Isn't that something to be happy about?"
"Definitely a reason to be happy," Sebastian's smile is radiant. Without waiting for Victoria's response, he answeres the question he brought up and continues earnestly, "After all, Victoria, having such beautiful hands, it's only natural that you would have equally exquisite feet."
His sound is full of passion, "Now, if we could just find a place to see your feet, and if they meet the standards, I assure you that you will receive a very satisfying endorsement offer."
Sebastian's expression is sincere and serious. However, as soon as he finishes speaking, Victoria stands up to leave.
"I'm done eating!" she declares and quickly walks away. Sebastian follows her, saying, "Victoria, don't you want to consider the offer?"
"No need," she replies coldly.
"I can offer very favorable conditions..." Sebastian tries to play his trump card.
"Sorry, I have to go to a shoot. If Mr.Vanderbilt keeps pestering me, I'll have to call security..."
Sebastian stops in his tracks and watches as Victoria enters the elevator. Inside, her face looks uneasy. It's unsettling for any girl to be publicly discussed in terms of her hands and feet, especially with an outright proposition to look at them. She doesn't see a shred of respect in his bare words. In fact, Sebastian's approach has only worsened her already unfavorable impression of him.
Next to her, Cathy Millstone teases, "After all that, it turns out you have just another ethusiastic admirer, Vicky?" She had only caught the word 'pestering' and thought Sebastian might be a suitor or an obsessive fan.
Victoria can't explain the situation and simply smiles, quickly moving past the topic. What could she say? That Sebastian insisted on seeing her feet? It's too embarrassing...
...
"No way," Patrick says as he approaches, curious. "So, the one you're interested in is Victoria?"
"Is that so strange?" Sebastian looks at him.
"The point is, didn't you reject her before?" Patrick asks with amusement. "Who would fall for the same thing twice after being burned once? And worse, burned recently."
"How is that being burned?" Sebastian replies. "Business collaboration is mutual. Last time I just didn't choose her, that's all."
"She won't see it that way," Patrick blinks. "Especially for a girl in the entertainment industry. You chose her, then rejected her, and picked Jessica. No one would feel comfortable with that."
"So, she's mad at me over that?" Sebastian frowns slightly. "But that doesn't seem right..."
Victoria doesn't strike him as someone who would harbor a grudge over such a thing. But if it's not that... He can't think of any other reason.
"What do you plan to do now?" Patrick asks curiously. "Find someone else?"
"I plan to find an opportunity to see if her feet are suitable first," Sebastian says, rubbing his chin in thought. "Is there a problem?"
"I just think you're probably the only one who can talk about looking at a girl's feet in such an elevated way," Patrick gives a thumbs-up.
"It's a business transaction!" Sebastian emphasizes. Then quickly adds, "By the way, you work at CBS. Could you help me find out what drama Victoria is shooting?"
"That's..." Patrick's expression turns peculiar. "You might not need to ask."
"???" Sebastian looks at him, puzzled.
"Didn't I tell you I'm working as a cameraman?" Patrick explains oddly. "I'm mainly responsible for shooting the very drama Victoria is in, 'You Are My Destiny.'"
...
Three days later, on location.
Near a barbecue restaurant about nine hundred meters from the CBS television station, the 'You Are My Destiny' crew is on standby.
"Is this the surefire plan you told me would let me see her feet?" Sebastian, half-covered with a towel and disguised as a photographer, is somewhat speechless. It was a perfectly legitimate request, yet Patrick's involvement makes it feel surreptitious.
"Today there's a scene where Victoria will take off her shoes!" Patrick nudges Sebastian's shoulder, smiling. "Don't worry, I've given heads up. You'll take over the special effects scene and do the shooting."
"But..." Sebastian hesitates, feeling something is off.
"No buts, no one will notice," Patrick winks.
Sebastian is pushed into action, somewhat dazed.
Episode eleven of 'You Are My Destiny' depicts the male and female leading actors on a blind date. In the restaurant, the male lead Jacky loses his shoes, forcing him to wear ugly slippers. Victoria, portraying the female lead Katie, also wears slippers to share in his embarrassment under the watchful eyes of others.
Sebastian's task is to capture close-up shots of Victoria changing shoes.
To add authenticity, the crew chooses a busy commercial street for the shoot. The crowd bustles about, vendors sell flowers, and a barking black dog tied to a stone bench adds to the authentic atmosphere.
Soon, the shooting starts.
"Action!" the director calls out.
The process begins in the hushed environment, with the crew moving methodically through their tasks.
After a short wait, Sebastian gets the signal from Patrick and hurries inside with the camera. Not long after, the male lead, angered, quickens his pace. Victoria swiftly changes her shoes. Sebastian moves closer to get the best shot.
Under the bright lights, her white, delicate feet are visible, with faint blue veins on the surface and long, attractive toes.
A perfect hand and a perfect foot naturally formed!
Sebastian stops to admires the sight from camera monitor, but the director's furious voice comes through the earpiece.
"Everyone's gone, why aren't you following?"
Sebastian snaps to his senses and quickly jogs after the action.
The scene requires him to capture close-ups of the male and female leads as they walk, using a small camera.
Outside, a truck enters the street.
"Hey, what's going on with that truck? Didn't anyone stop it?"
The male lead is blocked by the vehicle.
Obsessed with achieving a continuous shot, the director roars in frustration, "Didn't I say to stop traffic outside? Whoever is responsible, fire them right away!"
The entire street echoes with the director's rage.
"Ruff! Ruff!"
The black dog seems to be affected by the anxiety of the site, struggles violently and barks incessantly.
Suddenly... "Bang!" The chain tying the dog to the stone bench snaps. The large black dog lunges at Victoria, who is the closest target.
