Chapter 91 - Chapter 92 Cooperation

Looking at the serious-looking Iron Wolf Frank, Leon whispered something on Peggy's cheek, and the girl walked into the room with a slightly blushing face.

Until the girl disappeared through the door, Leon smiled at Frank and said:

"Lieutenant Frank, what do you want to see me about?"

Iron Wolf Frank was not a man who would beat around the bush. He was silent for a second or two, then he spoke directly:

"I don't know when we can deal with the zombies in Fort Benning."

"My sister and the soldiers' families are all in there, I hope it will be as soon as possible."

After listening to what Iron Wolf Frank said, Leon immediately understood what he meant. After a little consideration, he took a bottle of decanted fine Lafite from the table next to him. This was originally what he was going to use to entertain Peggy in the evening, but it was also a pretty good thing to use to entertain guests.

He poured himself a glass, then poured another glass for the iron-blooded captain, took a sip, and the mellow taste immediately filled his mouth.

"Captain Frank, you should know that our previous agreement is that I will help you deal with the zombies wandering outside the building, and it does not include helping you clean up the zombies inside Fort Benning."

"Our previous agreement has been fulfilled."

"You have also lived in New York City for a period of time. You should know that the zombies hiding in the corners of the buildings are far more dangerous than those wandering outside in the wind and rain."

Holding half a bottle of Lafite, Leon turned around and went back to the room. If he didn't hurry up, the beauty would get impatient.

Two days later, Lyon's troops assembled, and the equipment pulled out from the military base was handed over to the leaders of each team. The equipment of more than 200 elite soldiers had been updated and replaced with the latest American standard equipment.

He took a few steps and suddenly thought of something. He turned around and grabbed the collar of his younger brother on the ground, pulled him up into the air, and asked anxiously:

"Damn it, you are as stupid as pigs. You only know how to eat, drink and have fun all day long, and abuse slaves. If you are asked to do something, you can't do anything well."

Leon was a little surprised that this soldier who looked like a rough man had already seen through his thoughts. His mind raced, analyzing the pros and cons of the cooperation proposed by Frank. After thinking for dozens of seconds, he said:

"I can cooperate with you, but afterwards, this military base will belong to us, and you will get weapons and ammunition for 2,000 people."

"I heard that there is a Fire Dog Gang in Columbus. They are very large and like to rob. There are also some soldiers in the military outpost in the north who are very hostile to the survivors. You should know them. I think they will not easily let go of the supplies in this military base. There is also an organization composed of thousands of refugees in Troy Jun. What they lack most is weapons and ammunition. They must want to get a piece of the pie."

"Every one of them has a machine gun and an artillery piece, and they are already at our door."

Leon threw a cigar to the fawning local dog Cool Pai and said:

"You brought back some confusing information. How can I figure out what happened inside?"

Leon smiled faintly and said:

"Cool, show us the way. After today, there will be no more Fire Dog Gang, and you can be a normal survivor."

I also discussed cooperation matters with Captain Iron Wolf for a while.

After a few seconds of silence, Iron Wolf Frank asked:

"In other words, you don't plan to clean up the zombies inside Fort Benning?"

Their target today is a military academy located in the suburbs of Columbus, where is stationed the largest camp in Columbus, the territory of the Fire Dog Gang.

The black guy was confused for a few seconds, then answered timidly:

"We were frightened by the piles of charred corpses at the time. We had no time to think about anything else, so we hurried back to tell you what we saw."

"But, at the latest in half a month, I hope we can work together to rescue the families of the soldiers in the shelter."

"Hurry up, find someone to take a look. If you see any military equipment, bring it back to me."

After the captain left, Lyon's face darkened.

Leon put down his glass, shook his head and said:

"Captain Frank, it's not that we don't want to help you. We must prioritize our own safety before we can do other work."

Iron Wolf Frank thought for a few seconds and said:

"We need 5,000 people, and some tanks and armored vehicles."

"I had to tread lightly."

"You useless bastard, I provide you with food and drink, but you are of no use at all."

He was a sturdy black man. Facing his boss, he lowered his head and said with a hint of fear:

Led by Colonel William, they have all kinds of guns, tanks, armored vehicles, and almost everyone is fully equipped. They are tall and strong, with sturdy build, and have been through many battles. Their temperament is more like that of veterans. Just one look at them will make people feel that this is the most elite force.

"I hope you can understand my concerns, Captain."

However, no matter how delicious the pie that Leon painted was, the captain seemed unmoved and asked:

He glanced at Leon, whose expression barely fluctuated, and said:

"I will take care of the soldiers at the northern outpost for you. I know very well that the current leader of those soldiers is just an incompetent bureaucrat. I will replace him and make them obey my orders."

"Hmph, it's none of your business!"

This iron-blooded soldier took his leave and left. He planned to take his soldiers back to the northern outpost overnight to plan to seize power.

He saw the confused look on the boss's face and said quickly:

"Hurry up, don't dawdle, weapons are much more important than food now."

After listening to the report from his subordinates, Fire Dog Ace narrowed his eyes and began to think. The scar on his face became very hideous because of the change in expression. He thought for a few minutes, but couldn't think of anything. Then he gave up thinking and kicked the subordinate who had just reported, knocking him to the ground.

Frank's lips moved a few times, and finally he asked:

"How long will it take you? And what is the content of the cooperation you mentioned before?"

"So many tanks! So many cannons! So many troops!"

"It's been so many days, and that Coolpad guy and more than 30 people were killed by others, but you don't have any information at all, and you can't even find out who did it."

"I want to know, what do we need you to do to help us rescue those people in the shelter?"

"As for the refugees from the Fire Dog Gang and Troy Jun, they have neither equipment nor combat capability. They are simply a mob. You should handle them on your own."

Leon was sitting in a modified black jeep, while Peggy, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was concentrating on operating a drone and conducting reconnaissance in the vicinity.

Leon picked up Lafite and poured a glass for each of them, and asked with a smile:

"You have less than 200 people in total, and you don't even have a safe camp. Even if you were given so much equipment, could you carry it away?"

As a local officer who controls so many soldiers, he actually doesn't want to compete with them for the control of this fortress. Do you really think he is a fool?

Iron Wolf Frank did not respond. He lowered his head and pondered for nearly two minutes. Then he picked up the Lafite on the table and drank it all. He exhaled and said in a deep voice:

"Leon Custer, stop beating around the bush. I know what you want to do. I've seen many ambitious people like you."

"But, I have always believed that in the end times, humans themselves are the most important resource. Before our people gain a foothold in this area, I will not casually test the lives of my employees."

"Damn it, next time I see you failing at your job, I'll feed you to the zombies."

However, before he could organize his men to move equipment into the base, one of his men who was on guard outside rushed in, shouting in panic:

"Boss! Boss! We are surrounded by the army."

Leon, sitting in a chair opposite Frank, took a sip of red wine and said:

"That won't happen. Once we are ready and safe enough, we will clear out the zombies inside the fortress and obtain the equipment inside."

"Boss Ace, the black smoke came from the Fort Benning military base. When I led people over to check, I saw that a long section of the concrete wall in the base had been blown up. All the zombies inside were gone. A thousand-meter-long earth pit was dug next to the wall."

"I don't know the exact time yet. It depends on the attitudes of the surrounding forces. It may be one month or three months."

"So after we met, I wanted to try to see if I could recruit you to work for our organization."

"We have a safe camp, a perfect organizational structure, doctors, teachers, a lot of resources, and even virus experts who can crack the zombie virus. As long as you make enough contributions to the organization, you can even live a better life than in peacetime."

The voice of this subordinate was quite loud. Many people from the Fire Dog Gang heard his shouting and became hesitant and panicked.

"If you promise, as long as I am still the commander of these soldiers, we will help you three times whenever you need help in the future."

Fire Dog Ace was so angry that his eyes were blazing with anger. He threw his men to the ground and cursed loudly:

"This is a very dangerous job after all. If we are attacked from outside while exploring the interior of the fortress, I will suffer heavy losses from being attacked from both sides."

"We also found a lot of signs of vehicles moving on the ground, all large trucks, and some garbage thrown away after meals. A few people and I carefully counted and found that at least 300 people had been there."

After saying that, he kicked his man hard in the chest several more times, causing the man to foam at the mouth. He stopped only after he was unable to utter a word of begging for mercy.

"What a good-for-nothing, he only knows how to play with women."

It seems that although this Iron Wolf Frank looks honest, he is actually a coward.

"You are also a loser. If I ask you to gather intelligence, won't you look elsewhere?"

In the military academy in the suburbs of Columbus, Fire Dog Ace was beating his men. He was a white man over 1.9 meters tall, bald and scarred, with a sturdy body and great strength.

He took a towel from a scantily clad, trembling girl beside him and wiped the sweat off his forehead. He pointed at another subordinate and shouted:

Ace kicked his subordinate hard in the stomach with his foot and yelled:

"You said that all the zombies in the base were burned to death. Where are the bullets and weapons in there? Did you see them?"

He took another sip of Lafite and said:

"Hey, it's you. I asked you to take people to investigate what the black smoke is about. Have you found out?"

With anger on his face, Fire Dog Ace walked up to the man, kicked him over, then grabbed his neck, slapped him several times in a row, and shouted loudly:

"Fuck, how many people are here and where are they? What the hell did you see?"

"As for the matter of cooperation, it's actually very simple. I should have told you that we are an organization with lofty goals. We do not reject the joining of other survivors. As long as this person has a kind heart, high morals, and is willing to contribute to the cause of humanity, we will sincerely accept them and let them become one of us."

"It was completely black from the fire, and there were traces of burnt clothes and corpses. On the flat ground a few hundred meters away, the burnt corpses piled up into a mountain. At least hundreds of thousands of zombies were burned to death. It was just like hell, very terrifying."

Then he pointed at him and cursed:

The younger brother was dazed by the slap and said vaguely:

"Boss, I'm not educated, so I can't even count how many of them there are."

"But there are really so many tanks and artillery, we are about to be surrounded."
