It's been a week since I last left my house and probably two days since I last showered which I was about to do when I received a call from my mom "Good afternoon mum" I said excitedly "finally! chaira I've been trying to get a hold of you for like a week now, I came to your house but your guard didn't let me in, you can't just go off the grid like you are the only freaking person in the world I mean…" "mom calm down" I said cutting her short " I'm fine I'm okay I just needed some alone time and some space to figure some stuff out I promise no need to freak out okay?" I added "I'm really worried about you chi" she replied worried " mom I'm okay, how are things at work?" " hmm everything is okay, speaking of work your leave needed like two weeks ago you are supposed to be back by now" " yeah I know, I actually was about to shower and get dressed I wanted to surprise you by coming to work today" " you haven't showered? hmm chi in that case see me immediately you get here" " yes mom, see you later, bye" I said quickly ending the call

I got up showered, got ready and left the house for the hospital it was a 30 minutes drive that took me 15 minutes cause of how fast I was driving I arrived at the hospital and stood in front of it as memories came flushing in bad memories I proceeded inside and it looked bigger and better it was like they renovated it to be a hospital made for the president wow a lot has happened in the past 6 months I headed straight to mom's office they renovated her office as well there was a gold plate on the door with the words "managing director " Underneath it was her name "shea Campbell" boldly written on it I let myself in using a card and sit on a sofa, her name was also written on a title board on her table I looked at it and smiled. Few minutes later she walked in a tall slender woman with red hair she smiled and came to hug me tightly

"Oh my God chaira I've missed you so much it's like you've become a shadow of yourself like I don't get to see my own daughter anymore" " good to see you too mom" I said sitting back down " wow look at this place it really changed a lot" " I know right, Mrs violetta made a few changes to the place" she said while sitting down " a few? Mom this doesn't look like a few" I replied slightly annoyed " hmm chiara let's not talk about this, there is someone I want you to meet actually" " who is that?" I asked curiously " you know what let's go it's a patient" she said

We both left her office and headed to the last floor into a special ward she knocked twice and when we didn't get a response we went in

"Mr Russo! My russo!!, where has he gone hold on chiara" she said and left the room just as she left a tall, slightly muscular, pale looking man entered the room wearing a patient gown, he looked so familiar like I've met him before, but where?

" Uhmm hi you must be Mr Russ right? I asked " it's Russo, Levi Russo, who are you and what are you doing in my room, I'm guessing you are my assigned nurse"

" I'm nurse chiara, the director and I let ourselves in she was looking for you" I said slightly annoyed

He was about to reply when mom walked in

" oh Mr Russo I've been looking for you, this is…"

"Nurse chiara we've met what's going on" he said sitting on the bed

" well she is the nurse I was telling you about" she turns to me " mr Russo here has an ischemic heart disease"

"Sorry to hear that" I said, he stared at him and looked down after a while

" she will be the only one allowed to enter this room apart from the cleaner, Dr Perez and I, she will take good care of you i assure you"

" please Dr can I see you outside" I said leaving and waiting outside the room

She came out and I started lashing out immediately

" okay mom can you explain to me what's going on first you call me to come back which I did immediately, introduce me to some patient which I'm sorry to say is getting more than a patient privileges, turn me to his nanny, I don't mean to sound rude but….."

"Can you stop talking, that man in there is the son of violetta Alejandro, she asked for the best and personally wanted you to take care of her son I trust her skills and I trust you so please"

" mom for how long is this going to go on she is literally controlling you and extending it to me I can't be involved not after what happened the last time"

" chiara this isn't hard it's your job isn't it, and don't act like you aren't half to blame for all that's happening" she said angrily

I looked down and a tear dropped from my eye which I cleaned quickly

"Hmm look my love I'm sorry for that I didn't mean it"

" it's fine mom, it is my job, I think I should go and meet my patient we'll talk later"

" chiara wait, please I'm sorry"

" don't apologize, I should go

I said before going back into his room

"Wow you're back, with all that yelling, I thought she would have punished you or something" he said with a smirk

" well it isn't that hard when she's my mom"

" Isabella? " he said shocked

" don't call me that, EVER" I replied angrily

"Hmm fine, look let's get things straight you are not my nanny or whatever just like an assistant doctor" he said softly

"Trust me I didn't wake up this morning with the wish to babysit a grown ass man with a heart disease" I regretted those words the moment they came out of my mouth " I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound.." " it's okay" he cut me off " I do have a disease but that doesn't mean you are above me, you can either respect me and I'll respect you back or you dare me and find out what happens" he said

I instantly felt shivers down my spine " I'm sorry"

"Please leave I want to rest" he said while lying down and closing his eyes

I left quietly filled with confusion and regret
