Mark slowly levitated to where his new partner was, once he got there, he was hit with shock. Meanwhile the spirit seemed to be snoozing, it became free and the first thing it did was to go on a nap. Mark wondered if spirits back on earth napped as well, they didn't as far as he knew.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked with a soft tone, and zoomed at his partner on the tree branch.
The oblivious spirit yawned, showing its little teeth.
"What are you talking about?"
Just then, its paws fell in its peripheral vision.
"Huh?" Its yellow slitted eyes widened in both shock and fear.
The cat guardian's form was dissipating, its body was losing its essence and it appeared a lot more transparent and dull, almost to the point that it blended with the air.
Its body wavered between existence and nonexistence. Its eyes slowly reached Mark, mouth agape and unmoving.
Mark was just as shocked as it was. What could be wrong?
