Suddenly, a figure darted across the air from below her, and before she could comprehend what was happening, strong arms wrapped around her waist.
They twisted in the air, narrowly avoiding the magic attack as it shot past them. Sasha looked up, startled, and her eyes met with Mara's.
"Got you," Mara said with a smirk, her voice carrying a hint of amusement as they landed on the ground.
Sasha's heart was still racing from the fall, but she quickly regained her composure. "Mara! What are you doing here?"
"I wasn't in the mist when they attacked," Mara replied, setting Sasha down on her feet. "I was... busy in the washroom." She glanced up at the masked figures ahead. "But I heard the commotion and figured something was up."
Sasha nodded, a look of gratitude flashing across her face. "We need to get Edmund back."
