Chapter 67 - The Abduction

The roads were often nothing more than muddy trails winding through ancient forests. Branches clawed at the passing caravans, and strange, distant howls echoed through the trees.

The sense of danger was ever nagging but the vampire guards kept a close perimeter, their weapons ready for any threat.

The students, though weary, tried to keep their spirits up. As they traveled, they huddled together in small groups, talking about the exchange ahead and sharing stories of past adventures.

But the tension was undeniable. Each creak of the caravan wheels, each snap of a twig in the forest, sent nervous glances through the ranks.

Finally, after days of grueling travel, the entourage reached a small human town nestled at the foot of a mountain. The town, though humble, was a welcome sight. They decided to stop for the night, allowing the students to recuperate and stock up on supplies.
