Edmund was silent for a moment, considering her request. He wasn't sure if there was anything he could do, but he felt a strange sense of obligation. "I'll see what I can do," he said at last. "But don't get your hopes up."
Mara gave him a small, grateful nod. "Thank you," she murmured, her eyes closing as exhaustion began to overtake her once more.
