Art looked at Naomi and the others and said with a smile "I got D-rank!" Naomi smiled back while the others just stared at him. Max had gone through the same test but wasn't able to defeat the moon wolf. "How the hell did you defeat it?" Max asked with an excited tone.
Art who didn't know what to answer stayed quiet for a second and then answered. "I used the spider's poison and poisoned him." Art said like it was nothing. Naomi shined up and said. "That's what I did as well." Everyone looked at Naomi and Max asked. "Couldn't you just have sliced its head off. you were really strong before becoming an assassin. You even got a C-rank which means you defeated the Tangleclaw?"
Naomi started laughing. I Just wanted to kill the monsters in a way that none other had done. Guess this means I'm not alone anymore."
Art looked at Naomi and wondered how the hell someone could play around with such a beast. Art looked at Naomi one last time and moved his eyes towards Lucy and asked. "What kind of jobs can I do as a D-ranker?"
Lucy was startled as she wasn't ready for a question and quickly started to explain. "Y-You can do Research about the target's. You will be going out and reporting when they are alone or when they have their guard down and are the easiest to attack and what the target's schedule is. That is an example but if they are low value target's you can go after them without the information and just bring their head. There is also work to kill different creature's. Those quests are the ones that I would recommend in the beginning. Usually you would work 3 or 4 on a team to take out your opponents"
Art nodded and asked another question. "How can I rank up?"
Lucy took a paper from the shelf and showed it "You rank up by killing target's.

Art, who knew very little about killing was a bit worried but remembered that he had nearly died today and he was not about to give up on all the money he could get.
Art who asked if there was something else he needed to know about. Lucy thought about it for a second and then shook her head. "You are good to go. I would recommend to getting home and getting some rest and coming back another day to go on your first mission. Lucy said and smiled at him.
Art smiled back and looked at Naomi and Max and they said their goodbyes and started to walk out.
When Art was walking towards the car he felt a pat on the back and Max started talking "Great job man, D-rank!"
Mary said some encouraging words and entered the car. Art entered the car and was thinking of doing the evolution but waited till he was home because the orange feather popped up in his mind and the immense pain he felt.
Art asked Mary why she became an assassin. "Me and Carol are from a noble family who wanted a boy to take over after they died but they got two girls. After they left us on the street to die, an orphanage took us in and was raised there until we were able to live on our own. That's when I met Naomi who needed two employees and hired us. After a while of working the cafe was attacked and we got to know that Naomi, Steven and Max were Assassins. When we learned that there was a way to get back at our parents who abandoned us we jumped at the opportunity. And that's how we became assassins."
Art looked at her and asked "Have you found your parents?"
Mary became a little sad "We haven't been able to track them down just yet."
When Art saw the sad expression on her face he felt guilty for bringing it up. "I would love to help if there is any way!" Art quickly said and hoped it would bring up the mood a little. When Art saw how Mary smiled at him he felt a bit better.
Mary, who knew what Art's background was also felt guilty for relying on a 16 year old who had a little sister to take care of and had no parents.
Art sat silent the rest of the way to the cafe. When they arrived Art jumped out of the car and saw how Steven and Carol were ruining towards him and asked. "What rank did you get Art" Steven said when he was close enough.
"I got D-rank," Art said. Steven looked at him with a smile and said "Good work. Your training really paid off."
Naomi decided that they would go for lunch and eat at one of the fancy restaurants as a welcome to Art. Art who was hungry didn't complain.
After the meal he was really tired and decided to walk home. Naomi offered to drive him but Art wanted to get some fresh air.

Art didn't really care about the exp he just wanted to check his stats, and evolve his race. Art opened the door and realized that Stacy wasn't home. Art took up his phone and saw that he had one text message from Stacy.
[I'm at Lily's house and i will be eating here so no need to make food for me]
Art replied with a thumbs up and laid down on his bed and opened his system.
