"You three will know exactly what it feels like to kill a person!!"
Shira stated firmly.

Akai and Marco gulped.
But they just stood there looking directly at Shira.
As children of big clans, and especially so when they are in this type of proffession, the both of them knew that they would have to kill someone someday!
It was just, they thought it would only be on their first mission!
But it looks like killing is something that the department takes seriously and especially their state of mind!
Eiji is different though.
He had his eyes widen. In fact he even shook a bit and looked at Vice Commander Shira, Captain Gautam and Commander Sadou!

Eiji's breathing became erratic. Although he knew that he would have to do this eventually, actually having this day come to his face, Eiji was still very nervous and scared.
Commander Sadou and Gautam looked at Eiji.
They didn't say anything and just looked at him calmly. So did Vice Commander Shira.
Marco and Akai noticed Eiji's state and looked at him in concern.
These past few months, they had basically been in thick and thin, and was in the same page everyday!
They had already started to have a feeling of camaraderie towards each other.
Eiji also noticed that everyone was looking at him, so he took a deep breathe and smiled wryly and said.
"Hoooohh!! I'm fine! I'm sorry about that! ..... "
"Hmmm.. Eiji, you have already come this far, and I also know that you have worked really hard these last five months, I would really like you to stay in the department, so Eiji, I still want to give you a choice to back out, but if you still want to continue, this.... Is a must for us.. in this department!"
Commander Sadou said lightly.
Eiji nodded his head and calmed his mind.
"It's okay commander! I will continue!!"
With a calm face, he looked at Sadou in the eyes.
This time Commander Sadou was surprised, Eiji's eyes didn't have any signs of determination or the spirit to break through of his mindset, but rather what he had in him was just..... Calmness!
Commander Sadou smiled.
"Very good! Then we will continue! Shira!"
"Umu!"
Vice Commander Shira then started her explanation.
"In these prison cells, are people that committed heinous crimes, whether it be killing, pillaging or treachery and maybe even all of the things I have said.
They were captured, was 'asked' for any information that they may possibly have, and are sentenced with how bad their crimes are.
Bring in here basically means that they are death rows!"
The three newbies nodded their heads.
"Now! You three have been assigned to one cell each!
You can ask for their information or just straight ahead and do it! It depends on you guys!
Get ready! You'll start at the same time!"
Once again, they nodded their heads.
"Come!"
Commander Sadou told them and started walking.
They then stood in one of the cell rooms. Then commander Sadou pointed his fingers ahead.
"This cell and the next two cells of this room are the rooms you three are assigned, you can pick the cells yourselves!"
Akai, Eiji and Marco looked at each other and then walked.
Akai took the first cell, Marco the second and Eiji picked the third one.
*Creeaaakkk!!!
The cells were then opened. Which made the metals in the door creak!
The three of them didn't ask for the information of their target.
After opening the room the three of them took one last deep breath and entered the room, to which made another creaking sound after closing.
In Akai's cell, there was a man in a very bad state bound in a metal chair that was nailed securely to the ground.
He was clearly tortured, and has a lot of injuries in his body.
He was emancipated. His eyes looked empty.
The man didn't say anything even after Akai was in front of him.
"Hey!"
Still, the man didn't say anything and didn't even flinch at him as he walked towards him while unsheathing his katana.
"Huuuhh!!"
Taking a deep breath, Akai decided to just get on with it!
