Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 Sword Intent

Takazawa Muri was a teacher of the second graders now.

For Muri, he didn't exactly find teaching fun or boring.

He just did it because he was tired from fighting and killing from the war.

It was kind of a vacation for him.

A bit over a month ago, one of his well behaved students, Noya Eiji, was behaving a little bit suspicious.

When they are at the classroom, he would still listen intently and take notes, but sometimes he would just blank out and looked at the windows.

And when they were at the training grounds, he would sometimes look at the forest ahead with eagerness.

This hasn't happened last year.

He got a bit suspicious so he followed him at the end of the school day, Eiji went to the library that afternoon.

Muri was impressed by Eiji's eagerness to study, but it doesn't answer the question as to why he's so restless now.

When night came, Eiji went out of his dorm tip toeing.

It was a complete coincidence that Muri saw him. He searched what Eiji was reading and copying at the library.

He read a lot actually, there was the arithmetics book, history, and ethics.

He studied them all, and then lastly, Wilderness Survival Guide V.3!

Muri mused in his mind as to what this kid was doing.

When he went out the library, he saw Eiji looking left and right as he walked silently, carrying with him his wooden katana and a burlap sack.

Then he crawled down the fence at the training grounds and went into the forest.

By now Muri knew what Eiji was doing.

He smiled and followed him silently.

When he first became a teacher, the headmaster of the school said something to the new teachers that day.

He said that, there is a survival guide at the library deliberately placed in a conspicuous way for the kids to read.

The fence was created so that they can either crawl down or climbed up easily.

And if they saw their students or a student, going in to the forest to hunt and forage, they were tasked to protect them silently.

Muri was shocked by what the headmaster said.

He was also an alumni at the school, this was the first time he had heard of this.

Then again, with the number of orphans in the school, even the subsidies won't be enough to sustain the children's needs.

But the school won't actively tell them about this unless they are already at their fourth year, where they are given survival tasks.

So Muri would silently protect Eiji everytime he comes to the forest.

He saw Eiji's laid traps clumsily created.

He actually would redo it to be more effective.

Eiji didn't notice this and just went on everyday not knowing about it.

Then one day, he saw a jaguar eating one of the caught prey in Eiji's trap. He saw Eiji backing up without a fuss, not thinking about fighting such a beast.

He was happy that Eiji wasn't a hot blooded kid. If it was any other kid, especially those from big noble clans, they would've ran straight towards the jaguar to fight it.

Then a month later, same as always every sundays, Muri followed Eiji silently at the forest.

He still has a lot of things to do, so he would only follow him when he enters the forest, he doesn't have the habit of peeping at his students, besides only Eiji was able to see and use the secret survival guide from the headmaster.

Today he saw Eiji pick out some berries and fruits that he always get after confirming that it wasn't poisonous in his notes.

He didn't get anything in his first two traps.

When he arrived at the last Trap he got a huge fowl.

Muri was happy for him, he didn't sensed the Jaguar that was at the branches.

Thankfully Eiji also reacted, and managed to back away.

Muri wanted to go and save Eiji right away, but he saw Eiji stood up trembling yet ready to fight as he pointed his wooden katana at the jaguar.

This time Muri had a huge smile at his face.

'Haha! This kid really surprises me! Go fight! I will save you when you are in danger!'

Then Muri watched as Eiji desperately dodged the beast.

He really wanted to stop this now and praise him for his bravery.

Yet Eiji stood up again and again and even striked back!

He was stunned and couldn't move.

This was the first time, after three years of teaching watching his student, grow so much in a matter of seconds!

He could take his eyes off of him.

He couldn't bare stepping in to the fight and stop Eiji's growth.

So he watched.

'Come on! Come on! You can do it! It's Eyes Eiji! Just stick it in its eyes!"

But Eiji couldn't hear his thoughts.

He saw him get blooded and nearly torn into shreds with every swipe of its claws.

But Eiji still dodged and fought back, even with fear and tears in his eyes, even with the snot dropping from his nose and blood flowing everywhere.

He stood up again!

*Baanng!

But the last strike directly threw Eiji into a tree which made him bounce off of it!

Muri suddenly vanished from his place and arrived at the top of the tree.

But Eiji stood up!

By now Muri was shocked at Eiji's perseverance and will.

'The kid still stood up!'

"Mother...Father, I'm coming with you now!"

He heard Eiji mutter those words as he stood up with the help of his wooden katana.

The jaguar pounced at Eiji and Muri was ready to cut the beast up as he had already unsheathed his blade.

Yet an incredible scene appeared in his eyes!

He saw Eiji freeze. Then his dangling right hand reached out to the handle of his wooden katana!

Then a silver light flashed along with the slashing sound!

*Thud!

The jaguar's body was cut open from the side of its open mouth until it's back!

Its internal organs slipped out of its body and stopped breathing after twitching.

Eiji turned around and saw the jaguar's dead body and smiled then he suddenly fainted from exhaustion.

'Sword Intent! This kid managed to acquire sword Intent! Amazing!'

It should be known that there were only a handful of people in the whole world that managed to enlighten and acquire sword Intent!

Sword intent is something that all swordsmen wished to have yet couldn't!

Even if you become a sage one day, you still wouldn't have a sword intent even if you practice everyday!

No one knew how to acquire sword intent. Most people say that you can get it through a life and death struggle, yet even with the ten long years of war, no one was said to be able to acquire it! It shows just how hard it is to have!

Everyone wants to ro have it yet sword intent only has two uses!

The first one is to give an absolute sharpness in every attack!

When sword intent is used, every attack is fatal and can surely penetrate any obstacles!

The second use is that, if trained for a long time, a sword intent user may be able to master sword domain!

With the sword domain, all attacks are a guaranteed hit!

An unparalleled sharpness and absolute hit, this was a dream of all swordsmen!

Muri only knew two people that has sword intent, while others where unverified rumors.

The first one was the Sage of Excalibur Kingdom, King Xander Macedon!

The second one was..... Himself!

Now this kid is the third one!

Before Eiji hit the ground, Muri hurriedly caught him.

"Good kid! Sleep! Don't worry! I'll bring your spoils back!"

Eiji didn't hear what Muri said but he didn't care, he took the burlap sack that had some berries, fruits and the huge fowl.

He then took the jaguar as well.

The meat of this half mutated jaguar has a lot of nutrients and is helpful for Eiji.

The fur can also be sold with a huge sum as the only cut was that last strike made by Eiji and wasnt very ruined.

Carrying a lot of his arms, Muri didn't really care, for him only the jaguar was bit heavy and even with all of them, for him it was still considered light!

He slowly walked back to the school premises with a smile on his face.
