Chapter 35: A Special Gift for Lucy
Jin could hardly wait to see Jade's reaction to the surprise he had planned for her. After returning from the underground club the previous night, he had spent the early morning hours finalizing the details. He had booked a private plane to fly them to France, where he would give her the necklace and take her on an unforgettable date.
He picked her up mid-morning, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement. "What's the big surprise, Jin?"
"You'll see soon enough," Jin replied with a grin.
The flight to France was smooth and luxurious. As they flew over the picturesque landscape, Jade gazed out the window, her face alight with wonder. When they landed, a limousine was waiting to whisk them to their first destination.
Their first stop was a high-end jewelry shop in the heart of Paris. As they entered the elegant store, Jade's eyes widened at the sight of the dazzling array of jewels.
Jin led her to a secluded area where the manager greeted them warmly. "I have something special for you," he said, presenting the velvet box.
Jade's eyes widened in surprise and delight as she opened the box to reveal the stunning Lotus Necklace in White Gold. "Jin, it's beautiful! You didn't have to do this."
Jin smiled, gently taking the necklace and fastening it around her neck. "You deserve it, Jade. Thank you for everything you've done for me."
After leaving the jewelry store, they were driven to a fancy restaurant renowned for its exquisite cuisine and breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. The restaurant, perched atop a hill, offered panoramic views of Paris, creating the perfect backdrop for their meal.
As they dined on gourmet dishes, Jin and Jade talked and laughed, enjoying each other's company. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and Jin found himself opening up about his recent adventures, including his training with Edward and the fascinating world of cultivation he had discovered.
Jade listened intently, her eyes filled with admiration and curiosity. "It sounds like you've been through a lot, Jin. I'm glad you're finding your path."
After lunch, they decided to take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Paris. They visited local boutiques, explored quaint cafes, and even took a boat ride along the Seine River. The day was filled with moments of joy and discovery, each experience bringing them closer.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the city, they made their way to a small, cozy bistro for dinner. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, with soft music playing in the background.
Over dessert, Jin reached across the table and took Jade's hand. "I'm really glad you're here with me, Jade. This day has been amazing because of you."
Jade smiled, her eyes reflecting the warmth of the moment. "I feel the same way, Jin. It's been perfect. Thank you for everything."
They shared a lingering gaze, the unspoken connection between them deepening. As the evening drew to a close, they took a slow walk back to their waiting limousine. The city lights twinkled around them, adding a magical quality to the night.
Back on the plane, the flight home was filled with quiet moments of contentment. Jade rested her head on Jin's shoulder, and he wrapped an arm around her, feeling a sense of peace he hadn't known in a long time.
When they arrived back at Jin's villa, Jade turned to him, her eyes soft and grateful. "Today was unforgettable, Jin. Thank you."
Jin smiled, feeling a warmth in his chest. "Anytime, Jade. You deserve it."
As they said their goodbyes, Jin watched her drive away
