The mages in question tried to block Myles's attack by using his two fists covered in scorching flames. He thought that the flames would at least stall his attacks for a few seconds.
But he was severely mistaken, the power packed in Myles's strike was so strong that it produced strong gales of wind. Causing the flames around his fist and on his body to scatter around the entire battlefield!
"What the hell!!!" The mage cursed.
Even before he had the time to cast another spell or counterattack. His arms were amputated from his shoulder in an instant.
The moment his sword slash with the arms of the sound a powerful shockwave was produced. Due to the sheer amount of energy released from his strike.
The shockwave was so strong that it traveled to an astonishing 300 meters in radius.
The shockwave caused the ground below him to crack. It caused everyone, friend or foe, to suffer from crippling to mild injuries in a radius of 300 meters.
Myles was too shocked by the results! Even though he had pushed the body to its absolute limit. He didn't expect such a result!
"The limit of this body is crazy" Myles thought to himself.
He had used all of his strength in his last attack. Trying to exert any more strength wasn't possible. At least, not by breaking his muscles tissues.
But he didn't want to in the first place, since he was very happy with the results. A thousand different possible ways of combat appeared in his mind now that he was aware of the limits of his body. He just needed to sort out his mind and find the best way of combat.
But sadly he didn't have the time to do it. Since his work wasn't done.
He continued to move his sword forward. The tip of his sword slashed the chest of the mages by 180 degrees.
"Ahahaha!!!" The man shouted as his fresh blood poured out from his wounds.
The mages collapsed on the ground just a second later. Though the mage was still breathing, Myles knew that he didn't have too long to live. Hence, he moved towards his next target.
Like flies, he continued to kill one target after another! The D-grade mages were so helpless against him that the battle wasn't even worth mentioning!
Moreover, he didn't end up using all of his strength since it caused a strain in his body. He only used a mere 30% of his true strength. But it was more than enough to kill hundreds of mages within a minute.
As he cut down one mage after another, fear and distress were evident on their faces.
"Someone help!"
"Restrain this monster!"
"Why haven't our high-ranking mages appeared yet?"
"We'll lose the battle at this rate!"
It was clear that the morale of the mages had hit rock bottom.
The absence of their high-ranking mages and seeing their comrades fall left and right did wonders to shatter their spirits.
Myles grinned at the sight before turning his attention back to his army.
The projectiles flying towards his army had decreased considerably since he had killed a lot of mages! The remaining mages deemed him as a threat and concentrated their attacks at him!
But it was of no use since he dodged all their attacks. His troops had also reached the mages, currently along with captions. His troops were massecuring the mages!!
When Myles looked around him, he saw a similar scene unfolding around him.
Myles realized why this was happening.
"Their high ranking combatants have not made an appearance yet" Myles thought to himself.
So far he had not seen nor sensed any hostile Grade- B fighter around him. For some reason, the high ranking combatants still hadn't made any appearance.
This caused the mages to get massacred by them. Myles knew that this won't last for long.
The high ranking mages were bound to make an appearance. He just didn't know when.
"Before that happens, I need to think of a way to combat" Myles thought to himself as he killed another mage.
He was constantly thinking of a mode of combat after he knew the limits of this body.
He thought furiously for minutes before he finally found an answer.
"Developing a simple sword art for this body seems to be the only way" Myles thought to himself.
Developing a simple sword art was the only solution that seemed viable to him. Since apart from swordsmanship all other modes of combat were unsuitable for him.
The problem was that developing even a simple sword art was easier said than done. In order to develop even the simplest sword art, having a deep understanding of swordsmanship was a must.
All these possible problems were making developing a sword art from scratch nearly impossible.
"What if I don't develop sword art from scratch? Instead what if I just heavily modify simple sword art tailored to this body?" Myles thought to himself as he kept killing mages.
What if he just modified an existing sword art tailored to this body? Will this work? It will certainly work if he modifies the sword art in question properly.
"Let's do this then" Myles thought to himself.
Myles decided to just modify an existing sword art. Since he learned only the basic sword art, it was the only option available to him.
"The basic sword art is quite weak" Myles thought to himself.
The basic sword art was too weak and simple to be of any use to him in this situation. Hence, he needed to heavily modify it to make it useful to him in this situation.
Myles fell in deep thought as he thought about how to heavily modify the basic switch art. It didn't take him long to think of a solution.
"What if I can keep all the three movements of the sword activated at the same time?" Myles thought to himself.
If he managed to do so then the sword art might become useful for him. Together with his strong physique, the sword art will certainly become very strong!!
Not only that since the movements were quite simple. It will allow him to perform complex maneuvers without losing the essence of the sword art!
Since the sword art was fairly simple, he didn't need to have a deep understanding of swordsmanship in order to achieve this. He just had to precisely control his mana to do so.
Which he believed that he could do.
"Let's try it" Myles thought to himself.
With that being said, Myles first channeled mana into his sword. An aura engulfed his sword from top to bottom.
He tried to make the aura thin and pointy at the end. Broad and thin at the edges. Though he experienced some difficulty doing it, he managed to succeed in the end.
The aura looked a bit different compared to when he used the aura in his real body. The aura felt like that it's permanent and will never leave the sword. While, when he used the movement of basic sword art using his real body, he felt the opposite.
Myles thought that it was a positive development.
Nonetheless, Myles shook his head and began to channel man throughout his body in an unique way. Just a few seconds later, he felt his sense and reaction speed had risen up from a notch.
He had also activated the third movement, yes he managed to activate all three movements!
"What can I do with all this?" Myles thought to himself with a grin.
He got rid of all his thoughts and focused on killing the mages. A minute or two passed by, he didn't take long to determine differences between his current performance and his past performances.
His combat ability has risen up by a notch, he managed to kill hundreds of mages in just a minute. That too without suffering a single scratch! He grinned when he saw this.
"This will certainly help me fight against the highest level combatants."
As he was continuing his massacre, a powerful aura erupted from the sword pavilion causing everyone present in the battlefield to freeze.
The pressure was unlike anything that Myles had ever faced in his lifetime.
"The real battle begins now" Myles thought to himself.
