I consider myself to be a stoic person (well maybe not in private). I am quite proud of my ability to adjust to unexpected scenarios and keep a clear head when it matters most. It's what made me so popular with my bosses when they would throw all their work on me without giving me any sort of notice, and keep a poker face when my female coworkers would ask me out only to say it was just a dare after I paid the bill. Unfortunately, I think I might be currently experiencing my first mental breakdown.
Anything about keeping yourself calm, and focusing on what is in front of you was completely thrown out the window. My head felt like it was being filled with hundreds of voices screaming at each other. Thought after thought raced one after another.
I must be dreaming or on some sort of drug. This can't be real.
I'll surely wake up very soon or someone from reality will pull me out of my hysteria.
But what if it is real.
And I am now one of those web-novel protagonists who has to save the world whether they want to or not in order to survive. Out of all the possible universes I could be in, why did it have to be Ash Reaver?
I would've rather been turned into a sentient toilet that is only used by obese men than get stuck in this hellish nightmare of a world.
Oh our almighty lord above, please tell me I have it!
"Status Window."

Fuck, nothing showed up. I even whispered those words like a stereotypical transmigrator would!
If I am going to be suddenly kidnapped ant put into a game world, at least give me a cliche to cling onto!!!! While I was panicking, I was poked softly somewhere near my stomach releasing me from my delirium.
"I must apologize for being demanding, but we have to leave."
Despite her speaking in a more sharp tone and essentially giving me a command, my body locks up and I find myself in a daze when I hear her voice. She was also giving me quite a weird look. When I don't respond and stare at her blankly, she sighs and grabs the collar of my tattered shirt. Wait a minute, why am I wearing rags that would belong to a beggar npc?
"May you entrust your body to me?"
Her voice tickles my brain. For some reason, my mind seems to break down into a vegetable whenever she speaks. I could barely manage to make a slight nod at her question.
"Please try to stay still. It won't be long."
Then I suddenly find myself in the air and see the world below me zooming by. Despite being hung by the scuff of my shirt like a certain cartoon cat while traveling across the sky at a speed that should've broken my neck, it was weirdly comfortable and calming. I was slowly able to gather my thoughts as I wordlessly watched a person run on the air. A sight that was unnaturally natural given everything today.
