Chapter 5 - 5

"Well I think it's safe to say that I'm a certified addict of Ichirakus' after having 10 bowls. I just couldn't help myself because of how good it was." Kushina patted her belly as she walked the streets of Konoha.

She just left the ramen shop a few minutes ago, not having any destination in mind, she decided to take a stroll through Konoha. The hidden Anbu squad were following her as expected. She wondered if they knew she could sense them. 'Probably, Sarutobi knows I'm a sensor and he knows about my Byakugan. It's a high possibility they were informed about me being a sensor at the least.'

Let it be known that her Byakugan can cover a great amount of distance. For Kushina expanding her range beyond Konoha's walls while inside the village is child's play to her.

'This reminds me, I'll have to take Hinata under my wing sometime after she's born in the future. There's no way as the future Hokage, am I going to allow the Byakugan Princess to not reach Kage level in strength at the bare minimum. I should do the same for Hanabi and Sakura. Probably Ino as well, in the original series she was very talented in the use of her clan techniques.' Kushina thought.

She hated how Hinata and Sakura never reached their full potential. For Hinata while she made steady progress in her skills in Naruto Shippuden. Kushina felt Hinata's strength was not enough to be paired with Naruto. Did Hinata have to be Kage level during the Fourth Great Ninja War? No, but she could've at least been S-rank by the time Boruto happened. Kushina hated how Hinata got a power up in the movie Naruto The Last just for it to never be seen again. It's like she only got the power up to lessen the gap between her and Naruto for their wedding. Who knows maybe it played a factor while pregnant with Boruto and Himawari.

Lightning or water release alone could have turned Hinata into a beast if utilized with her gentle fist.

'Then there's Sakura, another one of my favorite characters who got done dirty.' Kushina shook her head in disappointment.

Sakura had the chakra natures of earth, water, fire, yin and yang. Yet the best she could achieve was to become a copy of Tsunade? She literally took the chunin exams in the sand village while only being able to access about 25-30% of her chakra. While at the same time she had to direct the rest of her chakra into her forehead the entire time. In fact it only took her 3 years to achieve the One Hundred Healings jutsu. Shizune, who had been Tsunade's apprentice since she was a child, could not master the same jutsu at all.

Hell, Sakura was said to be a genjutsu type, yet she never used genjutsu. She should have achieved so much more with her near-perfect chakra control.

One has to remember that Sakura had very low chakra reserves in her Genin days. She went from that to increasing her reserves to nearly Kage level once she achieved her Yin Seal. Kushina doesn't even need to mention Sakura's high intelligence.

At least whenever she wasn't simping over Sasuke.

'Then there is Naruto, I'm not even going to get into how much potential he had untapped even after becoming Hokage. It'll only ruin my good mood if I delve too deep into that mess.' The red-haired jinchuuriki mused.

About 45 minutes into her stroll, Kushina saw something that caught her attention. A second later, her expression turned into one of great surprise.

A bit of distance ahead of her is a man in a green jumpsuit, orange striped leg warmers with a yellow scarf around his neck. His hair was black and he had thick eyebrows.

It is none other than the legend himself Might Duy!

Truthfully, it was so hard for her to restrain herself from fangirling in public. It was like that when she met Tsunade for the first time too. Of course this reaction is only reserved for certain people.

Right now it seems that Might Duy is jogging, if she had to guess he must be running around the village for his training.

'This is the perfect chance to become friends with him. If I'm not wrong then Guy should be born already or he's about to be born sometime soon.' She thought.

Duy and Guy have the potential to become top powerhouses. She fully believes Duy can raise his base strength to the same tier as war arc Guy with proper guidance.

Wasting no more time, Kushina ran to catch up to Duy. Once she caught up, she matched his pace and kept running with him.

Duy noticed Kushina's sudden presence, he was a bit confused but acknowledged her display of youth.

Neither said a word to each other as they ran around the village together. Duy was surprised to see Kushina did not seem tired at all after their fourth lap around the village. Her pace continued to match his the entire time.

Duy felt himself becoming even more motivated witnessing Kushina's youth. He increased his speed in excitement, Kushina followed suit. Enjoying running around the village with Duy.

After their tenth lap, Duy finally stopped running. He turned to Kushina with a smile on his face. "Miss, I must admit the intensity of your youth impressed me! My name

is Might Duy!" He introduced himself.

"I'm Kushina Uzumaki, I'm sorry for intruding out of nowhere. I saw you passing by and became motivated to do the same." Kushina replied.

"Haha, don't worry about it. I'm quite happy to see one as young as yourself have such burning youth! Are you an academy student?" Duy asked.

Shaking her head, she replied. "No, I only recently moved here to Konoha. In a month I will be attending the academy."

"I see, well good luck to you! Now if you excuse me I need to continue my training." Duy said.

"Wait! Duy-senpai do you mind if I train with you? I know we just met but I'm very interested in your methods of training." Kushina spoke before Duy turned around to leave.

"You want to train with me? I don't mind though I'm only a genin." Duy was surprised Kushina wanted to join him in his training routine.

"Doesn't matter, I can't tell you are strong regardless of being a genin. I still want to join you." Kushina waved off about him being a genin.

"Alright then Kushina-san, let's continue to passionately display our flames of youth!" Duy shouted.

"Let's do it Duy-senpai!" The young jinchuuriki matched Duy's level of excitement.

Duy took Kushina to the spot he usually trains at. Kushina had a plan, her goal is to help Duy develop the Strong Fist style over time. As well as helping him develop the same Eight Inner Gates technique's Guy developed in the series.

They started off with 1000 push ups, sit ups, and squats. Then punched and kicked a tree 2000 times each. One time Kushina accidentally put too much force into a kick and broke a tree in half. Duy said they had to perform 5 sets of this routine.

After that was done, Duy said they were going to take another 20 laps around the village. Kushina agreed but suggested that they should spar with each other before doing so. Duy agreed since he rarely ever gets to spar against someone. His reputation as the Eternal Genin doesn't bring him much favor amongst his fellow shinobi.

As expected it was shown quickly in their spar that Duy's taijutsu skills leave much to be desired. His natural physical strength is impressive, what's more impressive is that during their spar, Kushina can see Duy trying to fix his flaws in his fighting style.

Kushina's own fighting style is basically her being a brawler. Apparently in her past lives that was how she preferred to fight. In order to keep things simple, she decided to just copy adult Naruto's taijutsu style. Over the years she would spar with her wood clones every day to get her current body used to fighting.

Time passed and eventually it was time to depart for the day.

"Kushina-san! Today was a very youthful experience for me, thank you for igniting my youthful flames to greater heights!" Duy voiced his appreciation.

"Eh, don't worry about it, Duy-senpai. You don't mind me returning tomorrow to train with you again?" Kushina asked.

"Not at all my young friend! You really pushed me today in a way I haven't been pushed before." Duy replied while giving her a thumbs up and a grin.

"Yeah I had fun too, see you tomorrow Duy-senpai." Kushina waved bye before jumping high to the trees, making her way back to the Senju Clan Residence.

It's best to start slow when it comes to revealing her abilities to Duy.
