Audrey Evans POV
"The day had started off like any other typical fall day in the Kingdom. The trees were becoming bare as their leaves began to fall, blanketing the ground with an array of red, orange and yellow leaves.
I was only 15, so the world looked more beautiful through my eyes then, compared to looking through the eyes of an adult, but there was something about it that was just too beautiful to forget. Maybe it was just because later that day would be the start of forever?
I had tended to the young Queen Mary, preparing her for the daily meetings the King and Queen often held for the citizens.
They were nothing like how they are now; they were once kind and compassionate. Loving.
Everyone, including the servants were welcomed to the meetings, so I simply stood off to the side, watching from afar as the citizens took turns voicing their concerns hoping theirs were dire enough to get help from the King.
