'What the-'
Teddy jumped out of bed and stood in the middle of his room, in shock of what was in front of him. The face that he saw everyday in the mirror, it was on someone else.
While he was still in shock the boy lying in the bed got up and started walking towards him. He was wearing Teddy's one of Teddy's clothes. Teddy backstepped to get away from him. Eventually Teddy's back hit the wall.
"Stop!"
Teddy outstreched his hand and commanded. It seemed to work as the boy had stopped.
"Who are you?"
First, the most important question. The boy opened his mouth and with the same voice as Teddy spoke.
"I am your clone. I got separated from you while you were sleeping. Instead of explaining things verbally, once you touch my hand you will understand the current situation much better."
The self proclaimed clone slowly streched his hand to touch Teddy's. At first Teddy wanted to pull his hand back but ended up letting the boy touch it.
Once their hands touched Teddy understood what had happened immediately. This guy really was his clone. Apparently Teddy's mutant ability was cloning. Not only that his clone also had a mutant ability. It was the super fast swimming ability of the queen triggerfish.
"So basically you separated from my body with a part of my will and now you're basically a new person with a mutated ability. Am I correct?"
"Yep. I also can't disobey you. I am a clone afer all. So no need to get scared of me or anything."
"Are those my clothes?"
"Yes. When I got separated from you I was naked. So I put some clothes on."
Now that Teddy thought about it, he was still in his boxers. He went to his wardrobe and put some clothes on. While he was doing that a loud voice came from downstairs.
"Breakfast is ready. Both of you come and eat."
Teddy went to the side of his room and picked up a bucket. He then walked up to the clone and put bucket on his head like a mask.
"Before anything unwanted happens I should introduce you to my parents. Also, you will be called Alex, alright?"
"Ok."
Teddy's room was on the second floor. The two first went to the bathroom to wash their faces. After that they went down for breakfast.
While going down the stairs they were as quiet as possible. Finally when they reached the dining room Teddy was the first to step in.
"Good morning Teddy."
Henry and Gizzelle greeted Teddy.
"Good morning."
Teddy returned their greeting.
"Mom, dad, I have something to show you."
Right then the clone, Alex came in. Henry and Gizzelle both froze for a moment. After all someone with a bucket on their head entered the dining room. What were they supposed to do?
"This is Alex."
He took off the bucket.
"He is my clone."
Henry and Gizzelle looked at eachother. Then they both said at the same time.
"Ok."
Their calm tone confused Teddy.
"Hm? Why aren't you guys more surprised?"
"Well, we knew that there was a possibility of you mutating. So we checked on you while you were sleeping. Just in case to make sure you would be safe. So, we already knew."
Teddy's heart warmed at their worry. However he had still wanted to surprise them. So it was a bummer that they already knew.
Now that he looked at the table, he saw that there were four plates this time.
"Still, congratulations on your successful mutation Teddy. Now, you can eat as many mutated meat as you want. I'll keep a lookout for you at the mainland."
Henry was happy that his son had safely mutated. After he spoke it was time to eat breakfast.
"Come on you guys let's eat."
With Gizzelle's words everyone sat at the table and started eating.
While they were eating Henry and Gizzelle asked Alex things they were curious about. After breakfast Teddy went out with Alex. They were going to fish and try out Alex's ability.
Alex was wearing a hoody and a cap so that people wouldn't see his face. It was still early in the morning but on this island people started the day early. Teddy waved at the people he knew on the way.
Once they reached the cliff Teddy usually fished at they sat down on two rocks across eachother and talked of their plan. From the outside it looked quite weird though. This is because they were holding hands and not even making any noise, just staring at eachother. This was part of Teddy's ability. He could telepathically comunicate with Alex but he had to be in contact with him.
After confirming the plan Alex took off his clothes until he was left with only his boxers.
"Good luck."
Then jumped into the ocean.
