Chapter 8: The Ambush
Linda gathered the team, her eyes bright with a new plan. "We need to hide in the map and strike when they least expect it," she proposed. "We can use the terrain to our advantage."
Dalton nodded thoughtfully. "Good idea, Linda, but we need to elaborate more. We have to eliminate most of their team to win faster. They might be stronger, but we're smarter. We need traps."
Miguel's face lit up with excitement. "Leave it to me. I'll set traps that will catch them off guard."
"Jamie," Dalton continued, "you'll be our eyes. Let us know if the enemy is coming."
Jamie nodded, gripping her sniper rifle tightly. "Got it, Major."
"The rest of the Soldiers..." Major Dalton was about to issue further instructions when the sudden sound of gunfire rang out. Bang, bang!
"Take cover!" Dalton shouted as the team scrambled to find safety. They barely made it behind the barricades before another volley of shots hit their base.
Kile's heart pounded in his chest. "What do we do now?" he asked, looking to Major Dalton for guidance.
Dalton hesitated for a moment, considering their options. Bang! The enemy's relentless assault continued, and then came the sound of an explosion. The door to their base was blown open, debris scattering across the room.
Through the smoke and chaos, Major Dexter's voice cut through, laced with confidence. "Stop hiding, I know you're here."
