"Demon? What does it look like?" I asked, my voice low but firm. If this so-called beast was real, I needed every bit of information about it.
The elderly woman shuddered visibly at the mention of the creature. "We've never seen it clearly," she said, her voice trembling. "The one who has said… it has the body, tail, and back legs of a lion, and the head and wings of an eagle with its talons on the front legs. The one who survived died after saying...that its eyes burned like fire, and its screech could freeze the blood in your veins."
"A Griffin?!" From the description, I immediately went to Griffin from the Greek Pantheon. If Kaal had somehow managed to tame such a creature, this would be no ordinary battle.
I turned back to the woman, my eyes narrowing with determination. "Do you know anything else? Has anyone seen how Kaal controls it?"
